Benefits and Risks

The so-called experts claim that there are health risks associated with the vaccine while at the same time claiming that those vaccinated, in their view, will benefit by being vaccinated. So, they say “just get vaccinated the benefits outweigh the risk”. They claim over half of the population is vaccinated and the unvaccinated have only risk and no benefit.

There is however another area where the benefits do outweigh the risks. I would submit that the Benefits of living in a land where the people have a right to keep and bear arms far outweigh the Risks of living in a land where the people have a right to keep and bear arms.

I see no Benefit to living in a land where the population is disarmed, I see only Risk.

Mind you these people are now in quarantine at the Penny’s Bay quarantine camp. They are not there by choice; they are there by force.

I am not thinking that the citizens of Hong Kong have the right to keep and bear arms. But I am thinking that the ones who forced them into the quarantine camp were armed. Just saying.

I look with a suspicious eye at any government that seeks to disarm the population.

When it comes to the cult of gun control it was never about gun control, however it was and is about controlling who has guns. The government will always have arms, the best arms that money can buy. Armed bodyguards will always surround the elite.

Every American citizen reaps a benefit from those that choose to exercise their Second Amendment Right, the Right to Keep and Bear arms. Every American citizen also shares the risk of a population that chooses to exercise the right to keep and bear arms. Read this again before proceeding.

Go back in history and look at some of the pictures, especially WW2 in occupied Europe. The people boarding the boxcars, were they doing that willingly or were they being forced? The key point is that they were disarmed, while the ones that were herding them were well armed. We can only speculate what would have happened or not happened if say ten percent of the population had retained their arms.

We can, however, look at current events around the world that were brought about by government actions or overreactions over covid. Government true to form has blamed failures on others rather than accept responsibility for decisions it has made and the actions it took.

Hong Kong is not the only place around the world that has established covid quarantine camps. There was even a rumor of one or two here in America. So far nothing more than rumors.

Many governments around the world have for years trampled upon their subjects, with covid they have excelled at the trampling. They have no idea what checks, and balances are. The only thing in Check is the subjects, the government keeps them in “check” with the “balance” of power resting in the hands of government.

The time has come to ask yourself a hard question. Would this government, our government, trample the citizens into subjects? While I wait for your answer I will move on.

If your answer was No, then you must believe that only good people have occupied and currently occupy our government. Patrick Henry had something to say on this matter in 1788.

If your answer was Yes, then I have another question for you. What has prevented the government from trampling citizens into subjects? I will move on while waiting for your answer.

If your answer was the Constitution, you really need to read what was written by Patrick Henry, John DeWitt, Benjamin Franklin, and other wise men from the past.

If your answer was an armed Citizenry, you just proved my point that every citizen Benefits from the Risks of living in a land where the Citizens have the Right to Keep and Bear arms.

One last question. What is it that guarantees all the other Rights you enjoy?

Preparedness and Survival

The recent events on the Highways and Byways in Virginia should be a wakeup call for many. Unfortunately, most will ignore the warnings. Those that heed the warnings will soon develop a case of amnesia.

Many people suddenly found themselves in a survival situation and most were woefully unprepared, some were underprepared. But then again who would have expected to end up in a survival situation while going about doing what one does every day?

I don’t know for sure, but I would guess if you asked some of the people why they weren’t prepared you would get an answer along these lines. If I had known this was going to happen, I would have been prepared or better prepared. Even if being prepared meant not being caught up in it in the first place.

In case you have not ” got it ” by this point in your life, emergencies, disasters, and survival situations are not going to be considerate enough to tell you when they will come so you can be prepared for them. It is best to be prepared for them when they occur, or at least be as prepared as possible.

One question I am asked is, what do you prepare for? The advice offered is complicated, yet simple if one will only think it through. You cannot prepare for every possibility. You can, however, prepare for the likely.

To me at least Preparedness and Survival go hand in hand.

The three basics of Survival are Food (including water), Clothing (adequate for the environment you are currently in as well as the environment you are going to and in between), and Shelter (adequate for the environment). If you have these three survival items covered, you are well on the way towards preparedness.

Food, Clothing and Shelter sounds simple. And it is at least until you start to consider importance. When caught in a torrential downpour shelter suddenly becomes the most important. You get the picture.

I don’t want to beat up on the Virginians too badly but there are some important lessons to be learned. If you happen to be in Virginia or were caught up in the traffic stoppage don’t get offended (if you do all I can say is get over, it) as I will soon beat up on my fellow Floridians. And if my fellow Floridians get offended well, they can just get over that too.

As stated above the people caught up in this traffic stoppage were going about their daily activities. Doing things, they had done numerous times before giving no thought to the possibility of adverse events. Some had been stuck in traffic before because of an accident. But this time it would be different, more different than they had even envisioned. Stuck in traffic for fifteen hours, snowing and cold.

Since they suddenly and unexpectedly found themselves in a survival situation let us now examine the three basics of survival. I believe the order of importance in this situation would be Clothing, Food and Shelter

Clothing. It is possible that many of those were commuters. They were either on the way home from work or on the way to work. That was the way they were dressed. Those who work in offices wore adequate clothing for the environment they left and were going to. Their clothing was woefully inadequate for the environment they found themselves in. Those that work outdoors were better dressed, better but still likely inadequate for an extended period.

Food. From what has been reported food was a real issue. Some that had food shared with those who had none.

Shelter. Since there were no reports of anyone being on a motorcycle everybody had shelter. Was it adequate? No, motor vehicles are not well insulated but if they had gas, they had heat. In this case inadequate shelter was better than no shelter at all. I find it odd that there was no mention of the electric vehicles and how they held up for those fifteen hours.

Will it be a case of lessons learned or lessons ignored? Two types of people will emerge from all of this.

There will be some who learned a valuable life lesson. They will keep food, including water, in their vehicle. They will put a blanket or sleeping bag or both in their vehicle. They will put winter clothing including footwear in their vehicle. They will keep their gas tank full. The next time they are prepared and instead of being suddenly thrown into a survival situation they will find themselves inconvenienced.

Then there will be others that will ignore these lessons. The next time this or something like this happens they will be just as unprepared.

I wonder if any of the folks will watch Gilligan’s Island with a different point of view. It started as a Three-Hour cruise.

Their journey started as a short hour or so drive.

Missing the point

There have been countless videos on YouTube showing what causes a SAA (or replica) to fire. While your videos (most of them anyway) are thoughtful and well done and do a respectable job on how SAA revolvers work you are missing the point.

The claim made “I did not pull the trigger” is just a part, the biggest part of the lies told by the cult of gun control. For years they have made it appear the villain is the gun. For them it is always guns kill.

Now that one of their own is in the hot seat the biggest of lies had to be used.

Someone is responsible for the death of that young lady and must be held accountable. You will notice that I did not say Something is responsible.

From what I have read there have been many things brought up that could be contributing factors. However, they were not the cause.

If no one is held accountable that would mean that the cult of gun control was right all along. The biggest lie becomes truth.

There is much happening in the Federal Courts. Both sides left and right have weighed in on the various issues and expressed their opinion of what the opinion of the Judges or Justices will be and why.

There is one thing at stake that few have even thought about. One as important as life and death.

The vaccine mandate issued by OSHA through the Department of Labor. For now, it is on hold thanks to the Fifth Circuit. As you know the Sixth Circuit won the lottery drawing. No matter the ruling one side or the other will appeal the decision (opinion) and from there to the Supreme Court.

The vaccines and their effectiveness or ineffectiveness will not be on trial. The vaccines safety or lack thereof will not be on trial. The claims of this mandate preventing serious illness or death will not be on trial.

What will be on trial is America. When all this is done, and the final ruling (opinion) is made we will know.

We will know if the President is the Commander in Chief of the Military or if he is now Commander in Chief of the Country and all that is in it.

If you know and study History, then you know about the Enabling Act and in what Country and Time this Act occurred. You also know what happened because of this Act. If you are reading this and do not know what the Enabling Act was and what came about because of it, I encourage you to research it.

The kicker in all of this is that it will be the Government deciding how much power the Government has.

God help us, if the final ruling (opinion) finds that the President is the Commander in Chief of the Country and all that is in it.

The democrats already have plans to reform the Courts. They even discussed the possibility of packing the Court. I guess that would be akin to ensuring you get the ruling (opinion) that best fits your agenda.

Will it ever end?

Just read an article in which over thirty democrats had signed onto a letter urging a covid vaccination mandate (proof of vaccination or negative covid test) prior to boarding domestic flights. Look up the article and read the letter.

This comes on top of the recent covid vaccination mandate issued by OSHA that is now been stayed by a Federal Appeals Court.

We are really coming to the time in American history where you will show your papers.

Just for the privilege of having a job you in some places must show your papers. In some places you must show your papers just for the privilege of dining indoors, going to a movie theatre, and various sorts of recreational activities.

Something else is revealed in the letter. They also ask that safety protocols for trains and other popular modes of public transportation be updated to reflect the current “science”. It will not stop with planes, buses, taxis, and trains.

One does have to wonder what is next. It would not be too much of a stretch to think that interstate travel would be next on their list. No vaccine or recent negative test no state-to-state travel. After that?

Now for a little trip back in time to answer the question will it ever end. Who said it and when?

Nothing new under the sun

Starting a new project or series. Have yet to decide the frequency. May get around to changing the title of the Blog, haven’t decided. This is the idea, I will read (dig) through my library and find things written in the past that were relevant then and are just as relevant today. I will however not disclose the author, date, or subject. If you choose to find who, when and why you will have to do a little digging as well.

Some are quite unhappy with the emergency stay issued by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily halting the vaccine mandate.

Came across an article by the AP just a while ago. Read it and could not believe my eyes as to what one individual said. Found the article on different so-called news sites and found that part was not included in the article.

Anyway, here is what he said. “It was troubling that a federal appeals court would stop or delay safety rules in a health crisis, saying no one has a right to go into a workplace “unmasked, unvaxxed and untested.”

While I am here this fellow also said this. “Unelected judges that have no scientific experience shouldn’t be second-guessing health and safety professionals at OSHA.”

Now I did not link to this article. I did however tell you where to find it. Find and read the article for yourself. You will notice this fellow has a lengthy and unimpressive title. These liberal elitists are out there and to them government power should be unlimited during a crisis. If that were true, then government would declare everything a crisis and therefore their power would be limitless.

Anyway, as stated a the beginning this emergency stay issued by the 5th Circuit is only temporary. The final decision will be issued after both parties have responded.

Other States also have filed lawsuits in other District Courts of Appeal. We wait for a decision.

This will go to the Supreme Court no matter which way the ruling comes down. The same is true no matter the outcome of the other lawsuits.

One would hope that the government would back down and withdraw this mandate. But that is not going to happen. They are too deep into this to just quit.

When this gets before the Supreme Court Justices they will be deciding if we, this Republic has a Government with Limited and Enumerated powers or if the Government is Limitless in its Power.

I will close with a question. What else have some in the bureaucratic health departments tried to and have indeed labeled a “public health crisis”?

Sowing Seeds

These so-called experts cannot help themselves. Not when it comes to covid19 and certainly not with these vaccines. Perhaps the reason they cannot help themselves is because they just cannot keep themselves from being so visible. Everyday they appear before the cameras, issue statements or try to clean-up what they said earlier. They have pretty much destroyed what little credibility they had. They really are their own worst enemy.

It seems as though the vaccines are not working as planned. Much breath has been expelled on the need of “boosters” with one side planning on a booster rollout on the 20th of this month, while others on that same side admit they are needed but they must wait on approval. Others on the vaccine side are saying they do not have the data to support the necessity of boosters. Go back to the first group and one claims that he fully expects approval for boosters before the 20th for at least one of the vaccines. Sounds to me like someone is applying some pressure, political pressure. The one who fully expects approval for boosters is the same one saying three shots might be needed to gain full effectiveness.

If these “people” were farmers they would be sowing the field with seeds of mistrust and confusion. These are the only seeds they sow. Then to top that off, they act surprised when those seeds sprout and they get a bumper crop of mistrust and confusion. After all those seeds were planted in fields enriched with “politicians promises”.

I do not know this for a fact, it is pure speculation on my part. I would imagine that there are many around this country right now that are experiencing a little “vaccine remorse”. Meaning that they now regret their decision to “get the jab”.

So let us now look at this bumper crop, the latest bumper crop. Remember the one you had over the sudden reversal of the “masking guidance”. Not to mention the one you had when the reversal was reversed.

Vaccine mandates. This is perhaps the only time the truth was told, “With full approval you will see more vaccine mandates”. Well that certainly happened. But now we may begin seeing “mandate remorse”. If an employer mandates that an employee get vaccinated with a vaccine that “fades” over time in order to remain employed, how can that same employer not mandate the employee get the booster at the prescribed time? If the vaccine wanes over time then there must be a time when the vaccine reaches zero effectiveness. When will the booster need a boost? Will that also be mandated?

If an employee does not comply with the mandate based on a religious or medical exemption. If that exemption is granted then the employee must undergo testing once or twice a week, mask and distance themselves, and whatever else they can come up with to punish you for not getting the jab. I seem to recall something about higher health insurance premiums for the unvaccinated, risky lifestyle.

As a condition of employment. No jab no job. I do not think that anyone with a medical condition preventing the jab is going to get the job. Health insurance risk. I do not think a person with a religious exemption will get hired either. Just saying.

Nothing says “keep me” or “hire me” louder and clearer than “I will comply”. There was a time when the decision to hire or fire was based solely on an employees knowledge, skills and abilities.

There will in all likelihood be some that will not comply with the mandates. Some will seek an exemption, while others will not. Some will stand their ground and walk away. The employers may just learn a lesson the hard way. They may just find those that have the skills, knowledge and abilities just walked out the door. What will they be left with? It most likely will not be the cream of the crop. There is a big difference between those that love their job and those that are just there for a paycheck, eight and hit the gate.

Vaccine passports. It was not all that long ago if someone was to talk of “vaccine passports” they were spreading a “conspiracy theory”. Well they have arrived in some areas of this land and appear to be gaining ground. No passport no entry. Welcome to “conspiracy fact”. If you have ever held a US passport you should have noticed that it had an expiration date. What will be the expiration date of these vaccine passports? How long will they be good for? 4 Months? 6 Months? 8 Months? 2 Weeks? 1 Day?

There may come a time in this land when an “official” approaches and says “Papers please”.

Now we have a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Pardon me, but if the news and you so-called experts can be believed it looks like we have a pandemic of the vaccinated. It looks like your much touted vaccine is not measuring up.

Now we have a new variant, Mu. At least one so-called expert has said that this variant may be resistant to the vaccines, but the data is not in yet. You make a claim and in the same instance you say there is no science(data)to back it up. Good grief, why on Earth would anyone even utter that. Mandates have been decreed to be vaccinated against what? If the new variant is resistant to the current vaccines why even have a vaccine mandate? What good is it to even discuss and propose boosters for an ineffective vaccine?

At this point one has to wonder if the vaccines even work, or if they ever were designed to work. You claim that you have saved millions of lives and prevented millions of hospitalizations. You have no way to back up those statements, it is mere speculation. Also one has to wonder about all these variants. Could it be that your vaccine was never effective and the new “vaccine resistant variant” just gave you cover for failed vaccines.

It was not all that long ago, in the grand scheme of things, when all you people could talk about was vaccine hesitancy referring to the unvaccinated. One of the reasons you offered was that many were in the wait and see mode. You claimed some were waiting for “full approval” of the vaccines. That may have been a reason, some may have taken the jab after the approval. I have a suspicion that many in that category were not swayed by the approval, especially when news broke about the breakthrough infections. Others may have suspected that the approval came under intense political pressure. Some in your circle did say that the decision to unmask was the result of political pressure. Some were waiting to see what side effects appeared and how severe they were. The best you could offer was to add a warning label and say, “The benefits far outweigh the risks”.

The seeds of confusion that you were sowing caused people to have questions, serious questions. If the masks work, why the distancing? If the distancing works, then why the masks? If the masks and distancing work, then why the shut down? If the masks work, then why the vaccine? If the vaccine works, then why the masks? If the vaccine is safe, then why the immunity clause? Questions like these as well as others deserve an answer. Sit Down and Shut Up is not an answer. All that answer did was allow the seeds of mistrust to take hold.

Now you want to stop misinformation and conspiracy theories. No, what in fact you wish to do is control the narrative. You want what you say no matter what it is even if it is the opposite of what you previously said to be accepted as fact and allow no dissent. More seeds of mistrust.

Just wondering. When we were advised that masks would be of no benefit, were you spreading misinformation or lying?

In case you are still wondering what I meant by “politicians promises”. Well around these parts that is what we call Bull Shit.

Remember when

Do you remember when we were told. Seriously, stop buying masks. Masks won’t help. You can do a search and find these statements you may even find the related videos. It turns out that this may be the only time the truth was told concerning this “pandemic”.

Do you remember when these statements were made no one in the health care community said they were wrong. But when the decision was made to unmask the entire health care community said they were wrong and were going in the wrong direction.

Now we as a nation find ourselves embroiled once again in the mask issue. My opinion on masks(cloth and paper)is this if you want to wear one wear it and leave others be. I reckon you now know my opinion on masks.

For those of you that wear a mask, cloth or paper, do this little thing for me. Don your mask and take a walk down a spice isle, if those aromas are getting through then your mask is not blocking anything. There is another little thing, test, you can do crawl around in a dirty dusty area then take off your mask and look in a mirror. If you notice little trails of dirt and dust going to your nose and around where your mask was sitting then your mask is not blocking anything. The reason your mask is not working is because there is no seal, with no seal things just get in. A little bonus, while wearing your mask and if you wear spectacles you notice your spectacles fogging up when you exhale and clearing when you inhale, well that happens because hot air is being expelled and cooler air is being inhaled, again your mask is not sealed. The majority of the air inhaled and exhaled goes right around the mask, taking the path of least resistance.

Do you remember when we were told there would be no national(federal)mandates? They, the federal government, were going to leave that up to State and Local governments and businesses. Some did and some went in the opposite direction, while others have yet to go either way. The federal government did not count on some cooperation, they counted on full cooperation and are loosing patience. Well just today, it was decreed by the overlords that all nursing home staff would be vaccinated, or risk losing Medicare and Medicaid dollars.

Do you remember being told that with full approval you would see more mandates come into effect?

Do you remember being told that booster shots were not being considered? Well roll up your sleeves, they are planning on September for “boosters”. They already have a plan. I kind of think that was the plan all along.

My opinion on the vaccine is the same as masks, if you want the jab, get the jab and leave others be.

It seems as though the vaccination rates have dropped off considerably since the vaccines for Covid19 became available. Much “finger pointing” has been done to account for the drop off. That runs pretty much the gambit, anti-vaxxers, vaccine hesitancy(waiting on full approval or waiting to see the level of side effects and the severity of those side effects), political party affiliation, and of course the so-called “rampant” misinformation.

You can’t make this stuff up. If you hit the link and read it, you will notice these two statements.  

First, this expert says one reason more vaccinated people are catching the virus is that more people are vaccinated. Second, The more people who are vaccinated, the more people who will end up testing positive.

The other I am not going to link to, but it is the video of the town hall by the current President where he is pitching the vaccine. But I am going to link to a fact check.

Again you just can’t make this stuff up. Three claims about getting vaccinated.

First, You won’t get Covid. Second, You are not going to be hospitalized. Third, You are not going to Die.

So what we end up with is dueling “experts”.
