Where next? What next?

I would have to say that I was more than a little disappointed when it came to light that the School Resource Officer did not enter the building at the Parkland High School. I have some questions. Was the carnage(murders)still occurring while he waited outside with his side-arm drawn? Could he hear the shoots being fired? Could he hear the screams and pleas for help?

Then it gets even worse. It has been reported that as many as 4 deputies, including the SRO, were outside of the building behind cars with their side arms drawn when the police arrived? The same questions apply, with the exception of replacing they for he.

There were so many failures by government in this horrific incident that there may well be a commission impaneled to find out what went wrong. Lack of follow-through on tips called in and reported erratic behavior of the shooter, see something say something. The list of failures just keep growing.

It seems to me that there was a commission to investigate the failures of government leading up the events of 9/11. Look at how much better things are now as a result of that commission.

So what is this really about, preventing mass shootings at schools or preventing any mass shootings? Or is it really leading to and about something else?

The big government republican(socialists)propose raising the age from 18 to 21 for a person to buy a semi-automatic rifle or any long gun. The reasoning 18 year olds can not buy a hand gun so why should they be allowed to buy any gun. Is there something magical to being 21? As I recall a person is automatically an adult upon reaching 18. A person can vote upon reaching 18. Will selling guns to only those 21 or older prevent mass shootings. Was the Ft Hood murderer less than 21? Was the San Bernardino duo less than 21, either of them? was the Colorado movie theatre shooter less than 21? Was the Orlando shooter less than 21? Was the Las Vegas shooter less than 21?

Okay, so you pass a law making it illegal to purchase a gun prior to one reaching their 21st birthday. Now what do you do with the 18, 19 and 20 year olds that now are legal and lawful owners of long guns? Do you force them to sell their own personal property? Do you confiscate their personal property with a promise, a conditional promise, to return it or them when they reach 21?

I believe it is more along the line of making it illegal to purchase or be in possession of any firearm prior to reaching the age of 21. There will be exceptions to the law but then again there is always an exception. For instance it would not be against the law for a member of the military active, reserve or guard to possess a fire arm if he or she was not 21, the same exemption would apply to members of law-enforcement who had not yet reached 21. It would be impossible for the members of the military and law-enforcement to perform their duties without a firearm? That covers the possession aspect. But what about the purchase aspect. Since the members of the military and law-enforcement are provided weapons why would they need to purchase one? It is not like times past when a person had to provide their own firearms.

There are many responsible citizens of this Republic that are not 21. They are responsible and act responsibly. Take this example, a responsible young man of 18 marries his high school sweetheart and together they move on and begin to live the American Dream. They want to start a family. They are both of legal age to marry. But it is now illegal for him to protect his young family with a firearm, he does not have one because he has not intention of being a criminal. He is 3 years away from being permitted to buy a firearm, three long years. One night a criminal breaks down the door, for argument’s sake lets say the criminal is also 18. The criminal has a gun, he broke the law. The criminal has his way, there is no resistance he has the upper hand and the only firearm in the house. The young couple endures the most heinous acts possible. They never had a fighting chance, in their haste to do something the politicians and activists made it impossible for them to have a fighting chance. It was taken away, oddly enough in the name of eliminating gun violence. Would things have turned out differently for the couple if they had a gun to defend themselves with? We will never know because that option was removed from the equation. The police officer that arrived at the scene also not quite 21 yet but legally armed looks around and says what a shame as he fills out his report and awaits the crime scene technicians.

So what will be their “we have got to do something” to stop this response be? Will only those 21 and older be allowed to marry? It would prevent underage couples from horrendous criminal acts.

The republicans seem to favor the banning of so-called “bump-stocks” now. A “bump-stock” was not used in the school shooting, it was alleged to have been used in the Las Vegas shooting last October. What other accessories and improvements are they looking at banning. What is to become of the banned items now in possession of individuals? Are they simply to destroy them? Are they to be confiscated? Are they to be turned in? They are in effect personal property, legally owned.

There is a plan to allocate more monies to place an armed SRO in each school. Why was that not done after the first time a student or former student went on a rampage, or just some nut? The question is, Why now? But it has come to light that an armed SRO at the high school in Parkland failed to intervene. He placed his own safety above those he was to protect. Some have attempted to justify his inaction because he was outgunned. Those inside the school were certainly outgunned.

There is also a republican plan to arm teachers who are willing to accept that responsibility and undergo the training. This plan garners little if any democrat support. Which brings me to this there are many who will not accept that level of responsibility, for whatever reason. Some people do no like guns and are uncomfortable around them. Then there was an opinion piece written the other day by a man who claimed he had served in the military and owns personal firearms. He stated that he was not willing and was refusing to take on this responsibility. I am okay with that. It was the reason he gave that caused me some pause. He sais he had done his bit in military.

There has been another idea floated around from time to time about using a volunteer force composed of retired military and law-enforcement to provide security for the schools. Trained and armed to react to and counter any threat. This too has little if any support from the democrats.

There is also more money being planned for additional mental health screening and care. Again why now? It has been long said that there is a mental health crisis. What is different about this shooting?

As to the big government(socialist)democrats they still have only one play in their book, Gun Control. With them it is always seeking to ban something they oppose. I suppose that they oppose anyone having the proper equipment to defend themselves or others.

They want an outright ban on any of what they call assault rifles. Was it not a private citizen who used his AR-15 to stop a shooting in Texas? He had matching firepower. How many more murders would have occurred if he had not been able to intervene?

They want to ban high-capacity magazines. Well just what is high-capacity and who gets to determine that? If a rifle comes with a factory 30 round magazine it is not high-capacity it is standard capacity. If the rifle comes with a 30 round magazine and the magazine is inserted in to the magazine well and a round is chambered, there is one round in the chamber and 29 in the magazine. Release the magazine and “top it off”, there is now one in the chamber and 30 in the magazine, it still holds no more than it was designed, it is still standard capacity.

They say nobody needs an AR-15. Well just who are they to say what I need or dont need. I am the best judge of what I need. The American people didn’t need you to foul up the health system either. You thought you knew better.

The democrats want to impose mandatory registration of firearms. They claim that we register our cars without complaint. Well knucklehead driving a car is a privilege while owning a firearm is a right. A right not granted by government, but a right that is supposed to be protected by government. Something about “Shall not be infringed”.

The democrats and now the republicans(maybe it has always been like that)seem to think they can control criminal activity and criminal acts by imposing further restrictions and limitations on the law-abiding public. Name just one law passed that the criminal element has obeyed. There are major cities in this land that have very strict laws in place concerning the private ownership of firearms, yet the criminal element follows this law not. It is only the law-abiding citizen that is inconvenienced.

The law-makers can not seem to control or deter the law-breakers so they take it out on the law-abiding. After all the law-abiders are the easiest to control.

Now we have corporations distancing themselves from the NRA, refusing to give discounts to NRA members they had previously given. We have a bank that is no longer going to issue the NRA credit card. The mayor pro tem of Dallas wants the NRA convention moved to another city. The NRA had no part in this shooting or any other, but it is the NRA that is being punished.

So where do they go next and what will they do or attempt to do next? The mid-term elections are coming up in just a few short months and the campaign season is almost upon us. The politicians want to be re-elected and others want to be elected. The politicians will ride this wave as long as it lasts.

I would not at all be surprised to see some democrat plans from the past come up once again.
There was a plan to impose a violence tax on a firearm purchase. I Believe this was $25 per firearm
There was a plan to have a per round tax imposed on ammunition purchases. The tax was based on caliber.
There was a plan to limit the amount of ammunition that could be purchased. If I remember correctly the amount that could be purchased was enough to fill the firearm three times.
I am quite sure there were more schemes like these. They were just seeing what and how much they could get away with. They were also testing the waters to see how much support there was and how much push-back they would get. Remember the democrats had complete and total control from 2009 until 2011 and they did nothing about their gun control agenda.

The student(anti-gun)activists have some powerful supporters and backers. They have an ally in the media. They have parents, parents that are in the banking business, the real estate business, and investment business.

What about some future possibilities?
A credit card company could take up an anti-gun policy. They could deny a purchase if it was for a firearm, firearm accessory or ammunition. After all they are the one loaning you the money to make the purchase, they would simply deny you the loan.
A bank could take up an anti-gun policy. They could not open a bank account for a person in the business of manufacturing firearms or selling firearms, firearms accessories or ammunition. It would be difficult to operate a business without a bank account. They could deny a business loan or line of credit for any business in the business of firearms.
A property management company could simply deny renewal of a lease for a business manufacturing or selling firearms, firearms accessories or ammunition. Forcing them to move if they can find someone willing to lease them a property for their business. If they cant they will close, go out of business.
How about your bank, the one where you have all of your money. What if they denied a purchase based solely on what was being purchased or where it was being purchased from? Is your money your money? Are you sure? Who has possession?

I could go on but, I am sure you get the picture by now. By the way the above is not giving them any ideas. If I, a simple old boy, with only a high school education can figure this out, they have already thought of it.

The republicans seem to be to eager to capitulate on the gun rights issue. They are offering the democrats a great deal, but the democrats will stamp their feet and say it is not enough. Then they will settle for the ban on accessories, the raising of the minimum age and what ever gestures the republicans can come up with. This will finally give them a launch pad towards their ultimate objective. Their ultimate objective is the total disarmament of the civilian population. I go back to the lead up to same-sex marriage. Fist they settled for civil unions, then they made their move now same-sex couples have something the rest of us lack. Same-sex marriage became the law of the land based on the opinion of the majority of 9. At what point was opposite-sex marriage the law of the land? Ever?

Now I will really stir the pot, and hopefully wake some of you up. What we face is a two-pronged attack and we are going to find ourselves caught in a pincher movement. The NRA, GOA and the rest are fine organizations and have done much to preserve our Second Amendment rights. They could see what was happening before their very eyes. They got tunnel vision. They spent so much time, energy and money standing up to government they missed a bigger threat. They could not see what was going on behind their backs.

The real threat would come from the private sector, by way of the public sector public education to be specific. Rather than rehash all of that go back and read the post “The Big Payoff”.

We are living in interesting times, my friends.

When a boot is on your neck, it no longer matters if it is left boot or a right boot.

The big payoff?

The liberal leftist socialist progressives(LLSP)are perhaps now seeing their big payoff. The School shooting in Parkland, Florida and the aftermath are now providing for the LLSP proof positive that their plans and schemes are paying off and paying off in a big way. Years and years of attempts have passed but now…

First I must address the enlightened professor, the one who asked Where was your God? Well, professor it was the LLSP’s just like you that kicked the one true God out of School. Not only was the one true God kicked out of School, many false gods were brought(ushered)in to take His place. More on this later, plus an example.

Now to the pliable politician, the one who bends any which way, as consistent as water. This mainly concerns the republican politicians. This is to address the republican governor. The same governor who ran an unsuccessful campaign to become president. The same one who says congress must do something, even if that something results in their not being re-elected. This is the same governor who spent years in the very same congress he criticizes for not doing something that would cost them their political careers. Funny he has been pretty silent up until now. This would be the governor from Ohio, but he is not the only one. He is far from the only one, many more lie in wait. Waiting until the time is right to reveal his or her true selves. They will claim that they must act to protect the lives of children.

Now to the Public(government)Schools. They have been educating, indoctrinating if you prefer,(I prefer the latter to the former)the children of this Republic for generations. The indoctrination(education)provided to the children has been steadily drifting left for generations. Now you have created an almost entirely leftist generation, your goal is within reach. Those in High School now, at this moment are the next generation of Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers Judges and Politicians. What will your creation do to what is left of this Republic?

Now to the children that are speaking out, protesting and making demands. Now don’t get me wrong I do admire you, though I believe you are misguided based on your leftist leaning education(indoctrination) and you have some adult help and financial support. You are placing your trust and hopes on the wrong people who will provide you with the wrong solution to a problem, but this is what you have been taught. What is going on in Schools now would have never even been dreamed of, thought of or acted out in my time. Kids are kids and have always been kids, something has changed.

The children(students)are demanding that congress do something. This also goes back to the enlightened professor. Government has become your god and protector, just as intended. You are placing your trust and hopes on politicians and government to solve a problem. Had you received a proper and truthful education, not an indoctrination, you would have been taught that government creates problems so it then can come up with a solution. The problem with a government solution is that it creates a new problem.

You had a lie-in in D.C. on the road outside the White House. There is a march planned, I believe that it is called the “March for our Lives” on March 24th. Let me see if I get this right. You will march on and to D.C. to demand congress(the government)take action to do something about guns and have meaningful gun control reform that will save your lives and lessen the probability of another School shooting. You intend to shame lawmakers into doing something to save your lives. Do you not realize you seek protection from the same government that gives million to an abortion provider?

By the way, the god you think loves and protects you, the government, knew what about the intention of that young man and did nothing. You should be demanding answers and asking, Just where the hell were you? Did you buy the breakdown in protocol excuse?

Personal story segment. It has been many years since I graduated High School. We did not have school shootings in those days. Guns were as prevalent in society in those days, most of us had at least one, and yet we managed not to shoot each other. I dont recall any signage prohibiting firearms on school grounds either. Most the boys carried a pocket knife, yet we managed not to cut or stab each other. Maybe the difference between then and now is that we had a deep respect for life and each other. If we had a problem we worked it out, usually behind the field house, like men and gentlemen. A good old-fashioned fist fight, and when it was over it was over and settled. No retaliation for losing.

I believe you are looking for a solution for a gun problem when what you actually have is a people problem. Solve your people problem and the gun problem will go away by itself. But that is just my opinion. In the days left before your planned march, look at the people problem you have and who or what gave you the people problem you now endure.

Now to the big-time political campaign donors. At least one of you has threatened to not give one dime to any republican candidate who gets one dime from the NRA. This is no more than black-mail politics. You refuse to donate to a candidate based on his views of the Second Amendment. If he or she supports the Second Amendment you will give him or her no money. You will only donate if he or she is against the Second Amendment.

The something every LLSP wants is more and more gun control measures. Gun control is not the answer, your controls will only have an effect on the law-abiding gun owners. Law abiding gun owners are not the problem, we already have enough hoops to jump through, thank you very much.

The mantra of the LLSP is “We just did not go far enough”. Well, quit pussy-footing and get to it.

Southern Born, Southern Proud

This post will in most likelihood send the farcebook censors running for their safe-places and frankly I don’t give a rat’s behind. The time is upon us where we must make and take a stand. We Southrons(Southerners)must do all we can to preserve our Heritage and preserve our Rights as Southrons and Christians.

Think on this. How many times have we been lectured too about being tolerant of others? Yet, we are not tolerated, we are ridiculed.

We are expected to be tolerant of gays and lesbians, I believe they are called the LBGT community, I also understand that a whole plethora of other letters have been added to their description. But no letter they have claimed indicates that they welcome those of us who are straight(normal). We are expected to be welcoming to them yet they are not expected to be welcoming of us. So much for tolerance and reciprocity. If this crap keeps up we will all be expected to be a part of the LBGT community. No Thanks.

Think about how many times per day you and I see the symbols of the LBGT and what ever letter they now have affixed to their movement. Whether it be on the media outlets or within our own sight. We are expected to react positively or not to react at all. We cant claim to be offended, for if we did we would be called homophobic. We cant run to our “safe-spaces”, we don’t have safe-spaces nor do we feel a need to have them.

We are expected to be tolerant of those who enter our country illegally. Law-makers at the federal and state levels have even introduced legislation to protect their rights, some governors have even signed that legislation into law. Rights by the way they do not have. Those who are here legally and lawfully have Constitutional protections, those who are here illegally and unlawfully dont. The democrats even shutdown the government over the issue of illegal immigrants, dreamers and DACA. They are in this country illegally and display the flags of their native lands, this to is not supposed to offend us. Yet they are offended by our flags, we must hide our flag from their sight so as not to offend them. They burn our flag in protest, but what are they protesting? We have been lectured too by some in high government offices that America is a nation of immigrants. Well that may be, true to a point. The immigrants of times past assimilated into American society, learning to read and write English. Those days are long past, today immigrants are no longer encouraged to assimilate. As a matter of fact it appears that assimilation is discouraged, even frowned upon. Why do I have to press 1 to continue in English?

We must be tolerant of the Muslims coming to this country. Employers are being forced to bend over backwards to accommodate their religious beliefs and activities. At the same time employers are sued if they allow Christian prayers on company property. We must be tolerant of Islam while being intolerant of Christianity. If we get offended we are labeled as islamophobic.

We are expected to be tolerant of the what I call the gender confused. We are expected to let them use the bathroom of their choice, no matter how they are plumbed. We are not supposed to get offended if a man thinking he is a woman or vise versa, for that day to go into the bathroom with our wives and/or children and not complain. Wouldn’t want to offend them. I am not quite just sure if there is a phobia, ist or ism label for that one or not, don’t rightly care. There is at he same time no consideration of the woman who wants to use the women’s room absent the prying eyes of a man claiming to be a woman. The offended confused can and do sue because they have been “shortchanged”, not allowing them to express their preference. Yet, what legal avenue does the one being forced to submit to the bathroom choice policy? Do that with mine and I will do more than just offend you.

As a side note, to those businesses that have adopted the policy of using which ever bathroom you want my shadow will never cross your threshold. Much the same for those businesses that post a no firearms sign.

For most the rest of this post I will be using visual aids found on the internet.

As a matter of fact we are expected to be tolerant of everyone and everything but ourselves. We are expected to deny our culture and heritage. To borrow a line from a book I read, We are expected to sit atop the stool of everlasting repentance, apologizing for our culture and heritage. Well, this ol’ boy aint sitting atop no stool, I aint got nothing to apologize for. I certainly aint gonna apologize for being a Southron. I certainly aint gonna apologize for being the descendant of a Confederate soldier. I will also not apologize for being descended from those brave men who first fought for our Independence from the British. I am a Floridian, and no apology there either. I am an un-reconstructed Southron, and again no apology. If you are sitting atop that stool kindly get the hell down. Take a stand. Make a stand. Be proud of your culture and heritage.

The social justice warriors are demanding that the symbols of the South must be torn down. They seem to be offended by our culture and our heritage. The Flags of the Confederacy, the Statues and the Monuments are all offensive to them they claim that they are the symbols of slavery and white supremacy. Hogwash, they are no such thing. To borrow a line from another book I read, These people suffer from Confederaphobia, Confederaphobia an American epidemic.

So what are we to do? Well that is entirely up to you, but time is short, do something. I have few suggestions.

Quit apologizing and get down from the stool. This should be easy. Did or do you own slaves? No, then quit apologizing for slavery and quit apologizing for those who did. See how easy that is.

Educate yourself on your culture and heritage. Realize that you have been lied to since grade school and seek the truth. The soldiers of the Confederacy were noble men who believed in their cause. It was not a lost cause or a fool’s errand.
If you are in denial and find yourselves constantly apologizing for being a Southron, it is you who are on a fool’s errand.

Educate your children and grandchildren. They are being taught a lie, it is your responsibility to teach them the truth.
It is our descendants who must carry on. At this moment the preservation of the Southron heritage and culture seems pretty bleak. This must be turned around.

One would think that we are living in George Orwell’s book 1984. The Ministry of Truth had the power to say what the truth was and change the truth a the drop of a hat. There was no truth in that ministry, much the same as the education system teaches everything but the truth, while calling what they teach the truth. The former truth was dumped down the memory hole and the new truth
became the truth, the truth that had always been. 2+2=4 right? But it equals exactly what they say it does. Remember the impeachment hearings of a few years back. It depends on what your definition of is, is.

When a Confederate symbol taken down put two, three or more up in its place. Show your pride. In fact you could put up a Christian flag for good measure. Yes you can be a Southron and a Christian at the same time. My ancestors were. Don’t believe the lie that the Confederacy was not a Christian country and a Christian people.

Educate others. Spread the word. Spread the truth. Join an organization that supports and promotes the South, Southron Culture and Southron Heritage. If you join an organization participate to the level you can. Don’t be browbeaten into being at every event across the land, or chastised for not being at some place others think or thought you should have been at. Most of us have limited resources and have jobs to support our families. If you cant find one start one, even a book club.

Forget about the whole “coexist” ideology. You can not now and never will be able to coexist with those who only want you to be destroyed. You may be perfectly capable of being a good neighbor with people who are different with you, but they will never be good neighbors to you. Coexistence is a fool’s errand. It was Gen. William T. Sherman who once said “The problem with the South is that it has to many Southerners”. Fully one-quarter of the male population of the South were either killed or maimed during your civil war. Towns, cities and the Southern people were ravaged and savaged. Well Billy Boy, both my Great-Great Grandfathers survived and here I am.

Make no mistake about it what is going now with the symbols, statues and monuments of the Confederacy is no more than another period of Reconstruction, reconstruction 2.0, if you will. The South may have lost its bid for independence, the South did not lose its identity. There is another thing, the socialist social justice warriors will not stop with eradicating the last vestiges of the Confederacy. While they “chomp” away at the symbols Confederacy, they are “nibbling” away at much more.

Hide and watch. It will not stop with eradicating the Confederacy, they are already moving towards other targets. Think the plaques at the Church attended by George Washington. Much the same as the, at the time civil unions of same-sex couples. Civil unions was not the goal, it was however a “launching pad” towards their ultimate goal. Their goal was same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage is with us today, not by legislation, but by a ruling, a decree if you will. Not by the president, but by the courts, the Supreme Court. The majority opinion of 9 people in black robes decided that the rest of the country had to succumb to and accept same-sex marriage as the law of the land. Make no mistake their goal is the complete and total eradication of this Republic. Which brings this question, How do you eat an elephant? One bit at a time. Eradication of all things Confederate is just the “launching pad”.

There was a futuristic fiction movie some years ago, the title was Fahrenheit 451. It was a movie about firemen, they did not exactly fight fires, they instead would set things afire, books to be specific. There were another group of people in the movie. They spent their time talking, not just talking but reciting books that they had read and memorized. As they aged they began reciting to the young, the young were taught to memorize a book that they had never seen, memorizing the spoken word. If the terror were to ever end the surviving generations would then be able to reproduce, print the books that had been lost. They were saving literature and history. If not for this effort all history would have been lost. I encourage you to watch the movie, before it too is lost.

Sherman said what he said in his time. I say what I say in my time. The problem with the South is that has too many “carpetbaggers” and “scalawags”.

Well it’s out

The republican memo came out, now we wait and see. Given the level of apathy in this Republic today, it is a great possibility that only those of us who care will even give a hoot. The memo has been spreading around the blogs and that is a good thing, it being released was also a good thing. The problem with some of the blogs media outlets is that so many say “Here is what you need to know”. I say let the people who care decide what they need to know. Let them read it and come to their own conclusions. Many will come to different conclusions, people can see or hear the exact same thing and come to different conclusions.

For instance, during the State of the Union address when President Trump made the statement that Black and Hispanic unemployment was at record low-levels. The republicans heard good news and applauded, the democrats(sitting in the same chambers and hearing the same words)sat on their hands not applauding. The republicans heard good news and the democrats heard bad news. I know what you are saying, the democrats and republicans clap like trained seals when the president is from and representing their political party. But, record low unemployment levels is good news no matter which party has the presidency.

Let’s look at the timing. Released on a Friday, not just any Friday, but the Friday before the superbowl(small s in this case because I don’t see it as worthy of a big S). So let’s look at Monday and the discussions around the “water cooler”. Will they be talking the big game of the big memo? I suspect the game by a large margin.

Why, you ask. The answer is that, people are “fickle”. It was not all that long ago that many “diehard” sports fans were up in arms because some knucklehead pampered prima donna took a knee during the National Anthem. Swearing to never watch a football game again. Some will stand by their word, while others will don their favorite jersey and sit in front of the “boob tube” eating wings and drinking beer, never minding what they said not so long ago. Much the same as when the videos came out about the selling of baby body parts at the abortion clinic.

Maybe by Tuesday the masses will get around to reading the memo, or not. It will go back to the apathy problem, or a new shiny object to look at. Then there is the crowd of Jacobins that exist in society and government. The never Trump crowd and the Trump haters will not give of flying(almost said a bad word)about the memo. To them the ends justify the means. They want the president gone and to them there is no measure that goes to far. They will not care that it appears the at least on government agency and possibly one government department “weaponized” itself to influence an election because the candidate, later the president-elect and finally the president was not one they chose.

I read it several times and the best I can say is “Wow”. It appears to me that some high-level bureaucrats were attempting to use any means possible to derail a presidential campaign. It also appears to me that failing that they would settle for bringing down a sitting president. Wow, talk about collusion, conspiracy and trying to influence an election. It also appears to me that these same individuals did not give a flying(almost said that bad word again)about the future of this Republic, they instead were concerned in their futures. Those same bureaucrats cared not if their activities tarnished the reputation of the entire agencies and/or departments. One even wanted to hang on long enough to reach full retirement benefits. Not to mention the never-ending leaks.

Well raise your hands if you are shocked that a government agency would attempt to influence anything or be used to further a political agenda. It was not all that long ago that the BATFE was used to help the gun control crowd. You do remember fast and furious, don’t you? The gun-walking scheme to send guns across the southern border. That one got Brian Terry killed. Let me see, making guns available to criminals to see if the criminals would use those guns in crimes. The IRS was used against Tea Party conservative groups.

The democrats were to craft a response to the allegations or revelations made in the republican memo and they wanted it released as well. They wanted everything to remain a secret unless they to could expose something. Then the agency wanted to redact the memo if it were released, claiming national security. Many people in government are still up in arms over the release. Claiming this memo was politicized, maybe it was and maybe it wasn’t. I would like to see the democrat memo, just to compare the two. I would like them to offer some sort of justification for the alleged abuses, from their point of view. Perhaps that will come out down the road.

There are some who will read the memo and be taken aback, to say the least. There are others who will read the memo and think that nothing was wrong. There are others who will simply let the media interpret it for them, being to lazy to read it and decide for themselves. There are still others who could care less about the whole affair, the totally apathetic.

In my view there is another thing about the memo. All of this has come to light because Trump became president. It started out as a Russian collusion investigation. It appears that someone claims or thinks that the Russians influenced the outcome of the election. There has yet been a person to come forward and publicly state that the Russians had influenced the way they voted. Each country tries to influence the outcome of elections in other countries. The reason is that they want a friendly government. As to Russia, think about who they would view as a friendly government. Would they, The Russians, view a possible friend as one who had sold to them 20% of its Uranium(you know the stuff that is used in nuclear weapons)? Or would they, the Russians, view an unknown as a possible ally? Who do you think they wanted to be president HRC or DJT? Very few trust the unknown.

If HRC had won the election and became president it is highly unlikely that any of this would have been known much been released to the public. Trump would have lost and there would be no allegation of Russian influence. That alone should anger people as much as, if not more than, what has been revealed in the memo. That means that the bureaucrats and the agencies could have operated without impunity as weapons against the citizens. They could have their “insurance policies” against unwanted results in elections, and no one would be the wiser. The “secret society” remark has yet to be explained. When one “desperately” does not wish for one to become president, how far will his and/or her desperation drive them? Likewise when one desperately wants to be president, how far will his and/or her desperation drive them? How desperate were and are some people? How far were or are they willing to go?

I also understand that there are people in government and out of government who are more than willing to betray their country. I might point this out there are many ways in which one could betray their country. Most do it for financial gain, some do it to hide and cover-up things they have either done directly or been a willing participant in, sometimes both.

Looks like some people need to look up the definitions of Fidelity, Bravery and Integrity. All Americans have their own political basis, they support a political candidate, most do not let their bias interfere with their job. Unfortunately by what is in this memo their political bias became their job. I really want to see the democrat memo.

What is happening in and with government today is pretty close to if not exactly what Patrick Henry had warned about.

The best we can hope for at this point is a ripple effect. All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

As I recall there was a country in the 1930’s and 40’s that had used government against and to spy on its own people. Some sort of “secret society” or “secret police” as I recall. I wonder what the level of apathy was in that country.

On a side note. We have another government shutdown looming, yet the republicans managed to find time to go on a retreat, the democrats go on their retreat next. The drama of D.C. continues. A tough fight or a retreat and the politicians choose to retreat.

Down to the wire again

Here we go again, another threat to shut down the government. Those “enlightened individuals” that infest the halls of congress are pulling the same old song and dance(crap)again. Waiting till the last-minute to fund the government. Good Lord, they are such “drama queens”. If they spent even half the time doing the business they were sent to congress to do as they spend in front of the cameras and the talk shows they might just get something done.

They have known since the last was approved(whenever the hell that was)that there needed to be a new budget for the next fiscal year. They spend their time talking about what needs to be done but that is all they do, talk. How many times must they “kick the can down the road”? Now they try to work out a deal for a continuing resolution, to fund the government for just a few more days or weeks. If they get a CR this same drama will play out without end.

We get drug through the mud no matter which party controls congress. And that is the problem the parties fight for control, not just of congress but the entire government. This time the socialist democrats threaten a partial government shut down, they are in the minority and at the moment control nothing. Or do they? After the mid-term elections in just a few short months it may just be the socialist republicans who are in the minority. When the socialist republicans are the minority they too will threaten a partial shut down of the government. Just part of the never-ending drama of D.C.. No matter which party controls this Republic, the Republic is the loser.

This drama, this time, is because the socialist democrats want assurances for the “dreamers” and DACA(you know the ones who are here illegally). I thought that we would have a once and done policy when Reagan was president. You remember the amnesty for illegals and then secure the border. Well they got their amnesty and the border has yet to be secured. How many millions was it then and now how many more millions will it be this time? The republicans were after cheap labor then and the democrats are after votes now.

Well I have news for those enlightened individuals in congress, there is another group of “dreamers” in this Republic, the legal citizens. The ones who dream of a lean, frugal and efficient government. Those like me. But then again we do not matter to you do we? To either party?

I have not checked for any late breaking news concerning this latest drama queen fiasco, and probably wont. At this point there is only 4 hours and 22 minutes left until a partial government shutdown happens or is avoided. It will be less by the time I get around to posting this.

Being as it is after 5 pm on the east coast most of the government is shutdown anyway. The world is still turning and the lights are still on.

One last thing. Each and every day we are bombarded with scenes and sound bites of the hearings going on in the different committees and the hearings going on to investigate this and that. But we never a subjected to scenes and sound bites of the goings on in the budget committee. You do have a budget committee dont you?

So you want to Secede

It seems that California wants to secede from California, making a New California separate from Old California. You want to remain in the union you just want to secede for coastal California. West Virginia was mentioned in the article I read. You better check your history on how West Virginia came to be. Also you might just want to study up on the Constitution, especially the part that covers how new states are formed.

I also understand that you have drafted a Declaration of Independence. Declaring Independence and achieving it are two separate issues. I haven’t read your Declaration of Independence yet, will find it soon and give it a look. In the mean time I will give a guess or two and perhaps give you some ideas that will help. Allow me to put this in context for you.

Rural California is tired of seeing their tax dollars siphoned off to go to the big cities to fund their social justice programs. In other words your tax dollars are flowing away from you and you get little if anything in return. Your money flows towards the coast while your area receives little if any attention.

Well, all I can say is, Welcome to the freaking club. What you are experiencing now is the same thing that the South faced in the years prior to what you call the Civil War. Yep, the revenue from the South was flowing towards the North to fund the special interest groups and programs of that time. How much of your hard-earned money goes to fund the wacky liberal programs of the big cities? Get yourself some books that cover history, the real history of the years leading up to the South(South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas)seceding from the union. Pay special attention to the tariffs, especially the Morrill tariff. By the way, money still flows from the South bound for other destinations. You money is bound to fund programs for those who are in your state illegally. Why? They will vote for those who protect them, keeping those in power who abuse you so badly.

Rural California feels like they are underrepresented in their state government. The big cities have most of the representation. You think you are being governed without your consent. You think you are being taxed, heavily taxed, without your consent.

Again welcome to the freaking club. The South was always underrepresented. It was framed that way. Just who do you think came up with the 3/5 thing? It certainly was not the South. If the slaves were counted a whole people, instead of 5 being 3. The South would have had more representation in congress, possibly making all states equally represented. The north could not allow that, they wanted to be in control of the new government. Like the South you will never be represented, it was not meant to be.

You may want Independence, you may even prove that you are capable of governing yourselves. You may even find allies in the big cities, until they realize that when you leave so does the money that fund the social justice programs. The South had allies in the north that were willing to let them go in peace until they realized they would no longer be able to pilfer the South of its money. Your governor may say something akin to what Mr. Lincoln said when some suggest that you should go in peace. Let them go, Let them go, I may as well shutter the government.

You see they do not need your votes or even your loyalty. What they do need is your money. It is always about money. They will never let you go in peace or any other way, not as long as there is one dime left to squeeze out of you. The only escape for you is to escape California. Go to a state more to your liking.

You will notice above there are only 7 states listed as seceding, there were only 7 in the beginning. They declared their independence from the union. They then formed their own government and country, the Confederate States of America. 4 more states(Virginia, North Carolina, Arkansas and Tennessee)did secede later, the total became 11. Might want to check your history on this also, especially the part about why they voted to secede after voting to remain. Long story short, the North used force to preserve the union. The South was beaten on the Battlefield and is still a conquered and occupied nation. President Jefferson Davis was imprisoned for treason but was never tried. No one would take the case on behalf of the union. The reason, what they won on the battlefield they would have lost in a court of law.

The South paid a heavy price in its attempt to leave the union, and still pays today. There are some still to this day that claim that the South embarked on a fool’s errand. Seeking freedom and independence is not and never has been a fool’s errand. The South in the spirit of the Colonials sought Freedom, Liberty and the right to self-government, after all they were the direct descendants of the Colonials.

You have finally reached the point where you now realize that your state government is corrupt, well good for you. It took long enough. But then, the original Declaration of Independence does say, Mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves. It does take time. On a side note the United Kingdom voted to exit the E.U., still has not happened. Time will tell on that one. Catalonia voted to secede from Spain, you saw how that worked out.

I really hate to ask this but, after all we are talking about California. Are you for the United Kingdom leaving the E.U.? Were you in support of Catalonia? Are you in support of Florida?

Well good luck to you. Maybe, just maybe some other states that are controlled by liberals will follow you.

Is this where all of this leads?

Could it be this freaking simple? I am referring to the recent outing of males as sexual deviants.

The political landscape has long been dominated by males, as has the business and banking world. They still have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that their candidate for president lost. They most likely and probably never will come to grips with that fact. They have blamed everything under the sun for her loss but her. They have even claimed that she lost because males were not willing or ready to vote for a woman for president.

The allegations made against males and their sexual misconduct towards women is coming at a dizzying pace, seems like it will never stop. And it wont until all males are portrayed as sexual deviants. Sexual deviants who cant be trusted in the company of a woman. A sexual deviant who caint(can not and aint gonna)control himself. There have even been allegations leveled a males for attempting or attempting to have their way with underage(minor)boys and/or girls.

Are they trying to remake the political landscape of this Republic? Absolutely. But more than that they intend to remake the entire landscape of this Republic. The goal, perhaps is to remove all males from positions of power or authority based on the actions of a few.

Thus far the only allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior that has been exposed has been against males. To date and to the best of my recollection no females have been accused of such “indiscretions”. This is most likely due to the double standards when it comes to males and females.

Allow me to explain. When a male teacher is accused of having inappropriate relations with a student, whether the student female or male, there is outcry to lock him up and throw away the key. But if a female teacher is accused of having inappropriate relations with a student, especially if the student is a male, some say “where was she when I was in school”. So therefore I don’t expect any males will come out under the hashtag me too. Males exploits are put out for the world to see, while the females exploits remain virtually invisible.

There are some in both sexes, male and female, that will take advantage of their position or power for their own gains, whether it be for sexual(gratification)or financial(personal profit)reasons.

Now let me say this, there are males and females in society that are more than willing to be used, if their being used will get them to where they want to be. Those willing to be used are not victims.

By all means those that are victims should expose those that use others, whether male or female. Having power and/or authority don’t give anyone, male or female, the right to whatever or whoever they see or can get their hands on. Keep your hands to yourself and keep a civil tongue in your head.

In this post I have used the word “they” a lot. Now let me say who “they” are. They are the Social Justice Warriors from the Department of Fairness and Equality.

I have also used the words male and female. That is because that was the way we as mankind were created by God, man and woman.

This is what all of this boils down to, the Social Justice Warriors want a woman to be president. No matter the cost. No matter if she is qualified. No matter her morals or the apparent lack of her morals. I mean after all, women can be trusted, right? The only qualification she must possess is to not be a man and social justice would have prevailed, in their view.

I cant help but wonder if that woman were elected president would all of these allegations come about? Are the allegations a result of her loss? We will never know, because thankfully she was not elected. I suspect though that silence would have prevailed, if she had won the election.

They judge themselves

Now what are they going to do? A sitting democrat Senator has had his behavior exposed, inappropriate to say the least. A sitting democrat Senator taking advantage of a female, at the time, co-worker. I would venture to say that this so-called comedian at that time, now a sitting democrat Senator was the first name on the marquis, the head-liner. If he was the senior member of the cast, he may have assumed what he did was his “right”. I dont know much about this former so-called comedian, I dont know if he a had a wife at the time or not. If he did, we had a term for this type of individual while I was in the Army. We called these types of individuals “Geographical Bachelors”, meaning that if he and his wife were in different zip codes he was a bachelor. Some people took that same stance if they and their spouse were in different area codes, sometimes in different buildings, or rooms within the same building. The clown had the attitude that all that was in his sight and everything within his grasp was his for the taking, he may still have the same attitude.

One would think that with all of the “righteous indignation” the establishment politicians have expressed over the allegations against the republican nominee in the Alabama senate race, demanding that he step aside they would take the same approach with this “clown”. But no, they will take a different approach. They do protect their own. They are going to refer the Senator to the Ethics Committee. They, other senators will decide if the clown’s behavior was ethical or not, he apparently cant. If he is found unethical in this they will name his punishment. Patrick Henry was right about this too. There really is no accountability in congress.

Speaking of Ethics Committees, how many of you need a committee to tell you if you have acted ethically or not? Most of us know the difference between ethical and unethical conduct without the benefit of a committee. Apparently this clown thought his behavior was acceptable.

Seems to me this clown was loud while condemning the actions of a Hollywood mogul. Bit dogs do holler first, and the loudest.

Now we have this, a congresswoman has come out under the hashtag me too. What she said in her testimony was to say the least startling. I believe she referred to congress as a “breeding ground” of sexual misconduct. I would say that they have the morals of an alley cat, but I would not want to condemn alley cats.

This kind of behavior did not just start yesterday. As a side note saying I am sorry or apologizing does not make it right. Using your position to make advances to take advantage of another is just bad manners, there is no excuse for bad manners. Now let me address your morals for just a minute, your morals are low. Just how low you ask? Your morals are lower than whale feces, and whale feces is on the bottom of the ocean.

So is this a failure of the individual to control him/her self or of congressional leadership? Well the answer is both, but it is the individuals responsibility to control him/her self. The reason I said both is because the current leaders were not always leaders they were at one time followers. But the leaders of today had to have seen what was going on then. Some of the members of congress have been around for years and years, some for decades.

So as a Senator says, “this is the first shoe to drop, more shoes will drop”. This I fear is going to grow and grow, the clown is not the only one, just the first one to be named.

So what is the answer? We the voters need to clean house. Repeal the 17th Amendment, let the States once again send their Senators.

I wonder if….

It would seem that nearly all of the congress critters and almost all of the talking-heads have already convicted Judge Roy Moore from the Great State of Alabama of sexual improprieties. Not only have they already convicted him they demand that he step aside in the Senate race. One of the enlightened clowns presently holding a seat in the senate has already said that “He has no place in the Senate”. At least one has said that Judge Moore must prove his innocence. Judge Moore has already been convicted in the court of opinion. Judge Moore has not, I repeat has not, been convicted in a court of law. They have even began a campaign to find a write-in candidate in the senate race. One would expect this from the other party. Judge Moore won the republican primary in Alabama and the afore-mentioned statements are coming from republicans. It seems to me that the republicans will torpedo their own, wanting and willing to lose the election and the seat. Or is it just they did not get the candidate they wanted? Seems to me the republicans are trying to put a monkey wrench into the works.

It has even been said by some Judge Moore should step aside and let the party select a nominee. They actually think the party machine is smarter than the voters who supported Judge Moore. Seems to me not all that long ago they wanted then candidate Trump, then nominee and now President Trump to step aside because of allegations of improprieties that were later proven false. Then as now they did not get the candidate they wanted.

Judge Moore as well as any other person accused of a crime should be and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law. A matter of Fact not a matter of Opinion. This still is America is it not? Since when is it the defendants responsibility to prove his innocence?

So I wonder if allegations of improprieties(taking liberties)were leveled at a sitting member of Congress, would they step aside? Would they succumb to opinion? I doubt they would. But the republicans in Congress are guilty of taking liberties, they have abused the voters that supported them. Constituent abuse. They have lied to the voters. Come on, confess your improprieties and step aside.

I question the timing of these allegations. They did not surface during the primaries. Why now?

You were willing to have a democrat president just not to have a President Trump. Anybody but Trump you said. You are willing to have a democrat senator just not to have a Senator Moore. Anybody but Moore you are saying.

Choose wisely Alabama.

You the republicans are the Jacobins of today. The ends justify the means.

Some do, some dont

Some get it, some dont and probably never will.

The latest mass killing(murdering)occurred in a Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. This was not the only shooting(murdering)that has occurred in a Christian House of Worship. Before the one in Texas there was one in Tennessee. Before the one in Tennessee there was one in South Carolina.

The one in Tennessee and the one in Texas have one thing in common. A concerned citizen brought the carnage to a halt. If I recall correctly the murdering at the Antioch Baptist Church was stopped by an Usher who wrestled the attacker to the ground. Again if I recall correctly the attacker(murderous savage)was shot in the leg. The murdering at the First Baptist Church was also brought to a halt by a concerned citizen. In this attack the concerned citizen exchanged fire with the attacker, as reported the attacker(again a murderous savage)was shot during the exchange. In the one in South Carolina the attacker(and again a murderous savage)was able to flee the scene, only to be captured a short time later. The murderous savage in Texas was not only shot, but when he attempted to flee was subsequently chased down by two townsfolk, including the one who had exchanged fire with and wounded the murderous savage.

This needs to be said and understood by all. In each of these instances the murderous savage knew he would face little if any resistance. They basically had the upper hand, the advantage if you will. They are brave when they have the advantage, not so much when they encounter resistance. None of the three murderous savages had planned on any meeting any real resistance.

I would like to point this out about society in this Republic today. The concerned citizen in Texas who grabbed his rifle and brought the savagery to an end is more the exception than the rule. Most in our society would have chosen not to get involved, if they did get involved it would have only been to the extent of grabbing their cellphone and making a video. This man chose to get involved, he grabbed his rifle(not a cellphone)and placing himself in great danger engaged the threat. He placed himself in great peril to defend the defenseless. To me that is the definition of a true Hero. This man exemplifies the meaning of the American Spirit, heroic and decisive action in the face of great peril. The other man, the driver of the truck also chose to get involved. This man also demonstrated great courage during the chase, determined to not let the murderous savage escape. Both of these men are exemplary and courageous in deed and character.

Now lets move on to those who dont get it and probably never will. This would be the gun control crowd, actually it should be called the “cult of gun control”. I call it a cult because to them it is a religion, but it is a cult. It is a false religion based on a false premise. It is based on the premise that what they call “gun crime” can be eliminated by placing further restrictions on law-abiding citizens. Passing laws and even more laws have no effect on those that choose to ignore or break the laws. If the rights of the citizens are infringed the only effect that would have would to be to provide even more victims of those who use a gun to commit a crime. I call the gun control a cult for another reason, they have Profits, false Profits. They follow a Profit who calls for more gun control while at the same time they are surrounded by armed security. They have guns to protect them while they seek to disarm others. The false “religion” of gun control headed by a false Profit, that makes it a cult.

Now we have a republican Senator from Texas siding with and reaching out to the democrats on gun control. This is a democrat windfall. It sounds as simple as writing legislation to enforce and strengthen laws on the books, but it is not that simple. It will not stop with legislation to fix existing legislation, it will lead to “comprehensive reform”. Currently the Air Force is being blamed for the failure on its part in reporting the conviction of the murderous savage in Texas. To me it is just another example of the government being above the law. When the government makes a mistake they just say “oops”. What happens to the rest of us if we make a similar mistake?

Now let’s go to those that get it. Once again a bad guy with a gun was stopped by a good guy with a gun. We have a sheriff here in Florida that has come out to say, “if you have a permit and a gun take your gun with you”. He gets it and so should you. I agree with what he has said.

You are your own “first line of defense”. Everyone who owns a gun should be proficient, range time and holster drills. I would like to say this, carrying a firearm comes with great responsibility. If you are not willing to accept that responsibility them for God’s sake do not carry. Let me point this out, the gun in your holster is not a “good luck charm”. Just because you have a concealed weapon and a permit is no guarantee that nothing bad will ever happen. Be proficient. If you want to carry a “good luck charm” get a rabbit’s foot, but then ask yourself what happen to the rest of the rabbit?

Now this is going to bring us to the subject of guns in Church. This is a subject that most congregations are unwilling to discuss. But it must be discussed. Before beginning with this I would like to point out this. We should be walking about this Republic everyday without a care in the world. We should be safe in our schools, offices, parks and everywhere we go, but things are different now.

There are many places that one would believe they were absolutely safe, but for today I will address only two. We should feel absolute safety in these two places, the sanctuary of the womb and the Sanctuary of the Church. Taking a little side road for just a minute. Let me go back to the “cult of gun control” for just a minute. The same people who favor gun control are the same people who favor abortion on demand. I find this to be more than ironic, they are perfectly willing to support abortion, which is not a Constitutional Right but oppose the private ownership of guns which is a Constitutional Right. Since 1973 it has been estimated that over 53 million babies have been murdered in the mother’s womb. The pro-choice “abortion cult” has their false Profits, the same as the “gun control cult”. The ones who push abortion have children and grand children. Those that support abortion only do so because their mothers chose life.

Now let’s go back to guns in the Church. This is going to cause angst in some Churches. I am of the opinion that every Church in this Republic have some sort of Church Protection Plan. I am also of the opinion that every male in the congregation carry his own personal firearm, that is, if he is trained, proficient and holds a permit if required and most importantly will to take on that responsibility. Some Pastors are going to be against guns in the Church. Some of the Congregation like is going to be opposed to guns in the Church. But I remind you of this you are your own and best first line of defense. As I have said before when a wolf comes it is best to have some wolf repellant.

There are those who claim that a handgun is not match for a rifle. Well that is true, but something is better than nothing. For a handgun to be effective against a rifle, the distance must be closed, either by the defender or the murderous savage. I am not for turning every Church in this Republic into a bristling fortress, but Churches like all “soft” targets must be “hardened”. We want people to come to Church and come to Jesus. We could lock our doors, but locks only keep honest people honest.

Above when I said “This man exemplifies the meaning of the American Spirit heroic and decisive”, that was and is true but it exemplified more than just the American Spirit. He exemplified the Christian Spirit. Willing to lay down his life for a friend. The Christian American Spirit.
