Excuse me, your roots are showing

I’m just shocked, shocked I say. Imagine that, out of the Blue comes a spending bill today that fully funds the government through September. Many in America should be seeing Red today, I know I am. No wall no nothing. Leviathan stays in place just as it was and growing, and just as it will be, always growing.

What has happened is further proof that the political interests reign supreme. You in Congress care not about this Republic or its survival. What you do care about is the continued existence and survival of your parties. You will obviously to do what ever is necessary to insure the survival and existence of your parties even if it brings about the total and absolute destruction of this Republic.

Let me remind you of your roots. The Republican Party of today descended from the Free Soil Party, which descended from the Whig Party which descended from the Federalist Party. Quite a history you have. You, the republicans, claim to be the party of Lincoln and of Regan. That may be true but you leave out so much. You throw the name Lincoln around for the benefit of ending slavery. You throw the name of Regan around claiming that he was the most Conservative president in recent history. Even with this you leave out so much. I will get into your “poster children” in later posts. This post is about your party, the one I belong to at this moment, but I am looking for a new political home, short of finding one I may settle for becoming and being politically homeless.

So let’s begin. You are now and always have been the party of “big government” all the way back to Hamilton, Adams and so many more. It was your political ancestors who forced the Alien and Sedition Acts on this Republic. A period of time when speaking out against government or government policies could land a man in prison, force him to pay a fine or both. A time when legal immigration was to say the least, difficult. The year 1798. It was also your political ancestors who gave us what would become the Federal Reserve. The Income Tax, along with the IRS. Shall I continue, or do you wish me to stop? To bad, I shall continue. You have always been and always be the party of Big Business and the interests of big business. You engage in the practice of imposing tariffs that protect big business.

The republican party was never the party of Conservatives, most of you do not know what Conservatism is. Most of those that do know what Conservatism is run from it as if it were the Devil himself. This goes for the talking heads as well. Conservatives believe in a small federal government with strictly limited powers. Conservatives believe that the infinite powers belong to and are retained by the States respectively or to the People. That makes the federal government subservient to the States and the People.

Here are just two of the reasons, many reasons, the republican party can never lay claim to being the party of Conservatism. The EPA was established under a Republican administration. DHS was established during a republican administration. You will use any reason or excuse to grow government. Doesn’t sound like the strictly limited federal government Thomas Jefferson wanted.

Now you send a spending bill to President Trump that funds the government through September. Is funding for Planned Parenthood included? Is funding for the Refugees included? Is funding for Obamacare included? Is funding for the Wall included?

I am sure that this was a bi-partisan effort. The political parties won and America loses again. Did each party get a little something out of this? Just how many pages was this?

It was Lincoln and the big government republicans that laid waste to the South for 4 long years. You were satisfied with that. It was the republicans that sent to South into ruination with reconstruction. Apparently you republicans are not satisfied yet.

You big government republicans politicians along with your big government democrat allies will lay waste to the entirety of this Republic. When you finish that task, you then will send this Republic in to ruination with some sort of reconstruction. Will you then be satisfied? Probably not.

Each day that passes only proves my ancestors correct.

Same old Song and Dance

The motto of the republican party should be, “Making Excuses Again”. It seems that the republican party establishment has no intention of doing anything, except making even more excuses. They never had a plan to repeal Obamacare, and it is even quite possible they never had any intention of doing so. They the republicans in congress have had since the ACA was passed to come up with a better plan. But then again it was never about care in the first place. What the ACA was about was government, Big Government, which suits the republican establishment just fine. After all the republican party was founded on the principles of centralized government, strong government, big government. The ACA was never about affordability or care, it was about government force. The government by passing this law had a way to force the American populace to buy something they neither wanted or needed.

The republican leadership has a plan, but their plan is not what the populace wanted or expected. There never was a plan to repeal much less replace the ACA. The only plan the republicans have is a plan to stay in power. There is one group of republicans that plan to make changes in small steps or phases over time, a protracted period of time. Come the next election which is about 19 months away the entire House and 1/3 of the Senate will be up for re-election. I can just hear the republicans running for election or re-election now, we are almost there on the way to repealing and replacing Obamacare. Keep us in control and we can finish the job. There is yet another group of republicans saying, slow down we have plenty of time we have to get this right.

They have two plans actually. One is to do nothing, but stay in control of the House and Senate, the other is to have a scape-goat. If the republicans lose control of either the House or Senate, possibly both, they can blame us the electorate for them not getting the job done. They will blame the voters for their failures, even though they have had years to get this done. If they somehow to retain control of the House and Senate they will blame the democrats for obstructing them. All they have to do at this minute is to look in the mirror and they will see the real problem. It is the republicans, they lack the intestinal fortitude to do the right thing. They obviously stand for nothing.

Since 2010 they have made claims that each of their gains were not enough. Now they have everything and again we get nothing. A few posts back I equated the 2016 elections to that of the Normandy invasion, now it appears that the 2016 elections have become the equivalent of the Anzio landing. Rather than go inland they instead remain on the beach.

It seems that the republicans, are just that republicans. There are a few Conservatives strewn about in the republican party but not enough, there may even be some hiding among the democrats. There are some in the republican party that claim to be conservatives, but have no idea what conservatism is. To them it is just a word, but it more than just a word. A politician will understand the meaning of conservatism.

There is an old saying concerning socialists and communists. It goes something like, A communist is no more than an impatient socialist. Socialism and Communism are both about big government. The communist wants it now, the socialist is patient, willing to take time. The end result is the same. Destruction of Conservatism. It is not only that the republicans will fail the legal and lawful citizens of this republic when it comes to the ACA, they will fail America on everything. Political party first.

I reckon this is what happens when there is only one political party, there will be only one type of government. It will not be the type of government left to us by the Founding Fathers, it will instead continue to be the one they warned us about.

Ain’t gonna take it no more no more

When the 115th Congress gets back to “work” tomorrow it will not be “business as usual”. The status quo is no more and not just because Donald J. Trump is president. The election of President Trump should have been your “wake-up call”. 94% of you in this Congress were in the last Congress. 100% of you are accountable to the tax payers, when the tax payers finally start holding you accountable will be another great event.

I have heard little if anything from you in regards to your plan for America under a new administration, a republican administration. I have heard much from some of you both republican and democrat on your plans to oppose a president Trump administration. You offer nothing better, you apparently will settle for the role of an obstructionist.

At least the President has a vision for America and what he thinks is good for America, sadly it appears that you do not. It appears that you place you and your party before your country. Perhaps the worst insult to the citizenry is the fact that you make excuses.

Let me remind you of this. Obamacare was forced down the throats of America. Total support from the democrats, and total opposition by the republicans. Thing is nobody even bothered to read the damn bill that became law. The former Speaker even said you have to pass it to find what is in it.

The republican leadership, at that time, said they could do nothing as the minority party, an excuse. The next election cycle gave control of the House of Representatives to the republicans and still nothing. The republican leadership, at that time said they could do little if anything without control of the Senate. You gained control of the Senate, retained control of the House and still nothing, another excuse. The republican leadership, at that time said they cold do more if they had the White House. Okay now you have control of the Senate, the House and the White House. It is now time to sh*t or get off the pot. Do not fail us. Now you have no excuse.

You claim to have no power when you are in the minority. The democrats seem to have all the power in the world when they are the minority. Could it be that you are actually one party?

I have a sneaking feeling that the laws you write do not always apply to you. I suspect that if Obamacare applied equally to you, there might have been more opposition. I also suspect if anyone bothered to read it, it would have had even more opposition. The same goes for Social Security and Medicare, you do participate in those mandatory programs, right?

Therefore and just to keep everything on the up and up it is probably time to amend the Constitution. This is only necessary because you apparently have neither morals, scruples, honor or integrity.

The Amendment should be entitled; Amendment 28-Legislation Clarified.
1. No legislation shall be forwarded to the President without first being read in its entirety by each member voting on such Legislation.
2. Each member will attest to having read the legislation in its entirety by placing his or her signature on the signature page.
3. Each member will attach a statement clarifying his or her support or opposition to the legislation.
4. Amendments or additions to the proposed Legislation shall face the same rules as the original Legislation.
5. Congress shall propose no Legislation that exempts any member of the Government, Elected or Appointed.
6. Congress shall not propose any Legislation that rewards or protects any one group or classification of citizens.
7. If the proposed legislation requires federal funds it must be clear in the legislation, amendment or additions exactly where the money came from and how it is to be funded.
8. No legislation will be submitted if is to be funded with borrowed money.
9. No Legislation will be submitted that is funded by future savings.
10. There will be no subsidized private programs or industries.
11. There shall be no further Legislation, Regulations or Rules at the Federal level that encroach on or abridge the Rights entitled to the States and the Citizens.
12. All haste will be made to repeal all Laws, Regulations and Rules at the Federal level currently in force that are Reserved to the States and the Citizens.

Now we come to a serious matter that does require the attention of the congress critters. While the previous administrations have embarked on a path of nation building, with your support America has been neglected. Much national treasure has been wasted in nations that have made little if any progress America has made no progress. Much treasure has been wasted at the U.N. with almost nothing to show for it. Few if any are better off for the wasted effort and this Republic is worse off. Some of America’s finest have been wasted or maimed in the name of politics, only to be injured again by neglect. This last presidential election from the primaries up to the general election was the people speaking out and someone finally was willing to listen.

Some have said this past election was about the forgotten, the forgotten men and women. While I agree with that, it also made a statement. The statement was “We ain’t gonna take it no more no more. We ain’t gonna be forgotten no more. We ain’t gonna take the insults and injuries no more. No more, damn it.

I would like to remind the congress critters that America is made up of 50 States and 1 District. This is especially important when it comes to funding the infrastructure projects. Do not repeat the failures of the past. There is more to America than the North East, the Upper Mid-West and the West Coast. You would do well to remember the South and the Heart Land.

As a matter of fact it would probably be all the better if the federal government stayed out of the infrastructure projects altogether and let the localities and states along with private enterprise handle it. The reason I say that is this; Why should I in Florida be forced to pay for improvements in another state?(more on this in a later post)

God Bless President Donald J. Trump our 45th President, the First Lady and the First Family. God Bless this Republic.

Lastly I would like to say this. God Bless Dixie and God Bless the Heart Land. The South and the Heart Land may be just what saved this Republic.(more on this in a later post, as well)

So how much will President Trump and his administration actually be able to accomplish?

Part if not most of that question will be answered before Donald J. Trump is sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. The new Congress will be sworn on January the 3rd at noon. This will be the Congress that the new president has to contend with. The Senate will be the one confirming nominations to cabinet level posts, or not. The Congress as a whole will be sending legislation forth to become law, or not.

So let’s begin this post with the events of January the Third. The new Congress will be sworn in at Noon. Soon thereafter the new Congress members will attend parties, banquets, pose for photo opportunities and begin shaking hands. They will shake the hands of many, including the group known as the “D.C. Powerbrokers”. The MSM will be on the scene interviewing the new members of Congress. They will certainly enjoy the “attention” that will be bestowed on them.

Now let’s talk about January the Fourth. Aside from beginning the process of moving into their new offices and picking staff to “help” them along in performing their new jobs there will be much happening. Telephone calls and other forms of communications will begin pouring in. They will be contacted by donors, lobbyists and party hacks. Donors will be reminding them of the fact that they have only “arrived” because of their generous “donations”. They lobbyists will be calling to arrange “deals”, tit for tat. Party hacks will be reminding them of the party “agenda”. All while this is going on they will recall the “feeling” they experienced the previous day. The “high” they experienced on January the Third will be one they want repeated for eternity.

And so it begins. January the Fourth begins the new “political campaign season” for the Congress. They will put on their suits and take to the field once more, the democrats in blue and the republicans in red. Though they were just sworn one day prior, they will begin their re-election campaign. They will start calling potential donors as well as those who had supported them in the past. Their days from January the Fourth and onward will be filled with thoughts and actions of and towards a successful re-election bid.

Quick question. Why is it that a Congress critter needs such a large staff? The answer is that they spend so little time doing the job they were sent there to do they have others do it in their stead. Sort of like “farming-out” or “out-sourcing” the job they said they would do. You were sent to govern not out-source your job. If you did not want to do the job you never should have asked for it.

So the real questions are these. Will Congress do what is right for this Republic? Or will Congress keep doing what is right for themselves, their donors, the special interest groups or the lobbyists? Is getting re-elected more important than the continued success of the Republic and Her citizens?

Donald J. Trump will be the President Donald J. Trump because of his vision. A vision of “Making America Great Again”. He did not run on a campaign to make the political establishment great again. He stood the political establishment and all its baggage on its head.

Will the Senate place America first at the confirmation hearings? Or will they place party politics first? I think we will see a lot of votes along party lines. But that is nothing new, now is it?

To answer the opening question and the title. Much of what gets accomplished or does not get accomplished will revolve around what Congress does or does not do. And most importantly what or who Congress represents.

Fresh out of options

The same opening in the last post applies to this post. This is not an attempt by me to delve into the world of conspiracy theories, there are others who do that, I will leave that to them. This post like the last is intended to cause people to think. And as in the last post LLSP applies to the democrats and those hiding in the GOP.

The Electoral College vote yesterday made it official, Donald J. Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States on January 20th 2017 at noon. One would think that it is finally settled and finally over. The LLSP have failed in every attempt to prevent yesterday from happening. They failed in their attempt to defeat Mr. trump in the primaries. They failed again at the GOP convention. They failed to defeat Mr. Trump in the presidential election. They failed again with the ridiculous re-count efforts. And finally they failed at the Electoral College. Save for a few “turncoats” it worked just as the Founders and Framers intended.

One would think that the LLSP were fresh out of options. That may not be the case. This is not the time for us, the sensible, in America to think that this is over. We must stay on our guard. History is a great teacher, we only have to look back. There are many historical facts that illustrate the point I am trying to make.

For the purposes of this post I would like to use Western Europe during World War 2. Hitler, the Nazis and the German military had control of most if not all of Europe by the spring of 1944. Europe was an occupied land. The German High Command had always known that there would one day be an invasion of Europe in an attempt to liberate the conquered nations. This I feel was one of the compelling reasons Hitler wanted to conquer the British Isles. Think about this for a moment. If the British Isles had fallen to the Germans, they could not have been used as the “jumping off point” for the D-Day invasion. Where would a suitable “jumping off point” be other than the British Isles? The British Isles did not fall and became the “jumping off point” for D-Day. Divine intervention? Maybe.

Think of the U. S. as an occupied land for a moment. A land occupied not by a foreign military, but by the political ruling class(LLSP), their henchmen and handlers. They too, have always known that there was the possibility of a liberation of this land. An invasion of Patriots, so to speak.

With the failure of the German military to subdue the British Isles, the Germans began building “Fortress Europe”. The coast line of Western Europe was bristling with guns from Spain to Norway, guns to repel the invasion. The German High Command also was faced with the problem of trying to best guess where an invasion would occur, and place the reserve forces nearest that point. The points they chose was Calais and Cherbourg.

The LSSP, their henchmen and handlers need not plan to repel an invasion from the sea, the Patriots were and are already ashore. They did not have to build a “Fortress America” they only had to divide America and Her Citizens into segments. The LLSP have only basic tactics they employ, Division and Character Assassination. Once a population is divided it is easy to assassinate their character. The LSSP have been dividing the population for years. They divide the population based on skin color, sex, money or the lack of it, religion or the lack of it, ethnicity and so on. Then they pit one group against another or the others which ever works best for them. Then the name-calling begins racist, sexist, homophobe and so on. If anyone still stands his or her ground their character is assassinated with even more name-calling and even allegations of bad behavior, even is those allegations have no merit. They have divided America the same way they have divided the population. America is divided into colors Red, Blue and Purple. The states fight the other states and the federal government fights the states.

The Allied invasion of Europe occurred on June 6th 1944 at Normandy. The German High Command could not believe what they were seeing. They even went into denial. The invasion happening before their eyes was occurring at the wrong time and in the wrong place. Many thought that the invasion was only a trick(deception), not real, and the real invasion would occur where and when they thought it always would. It was the only way. They never saw it coming, even though it was right before their eyes.

The LLSP find themselves in the same predicament. As stated above, the LLSP and their henchmen and handlers have long suspected that the Patriots would rise up and take back this Republic. They had always believed that the Patriots would rise up with Arms in an attempt to throw-off the government, much the same as the Founders and Framers had done so long ago. They guessed wrong, the Patriots did rise up and begin the process of taking back the Republic, but it was done with the ballot box not with the cartridge box. They never saw it coming, we used what the Founders and Framers had left for us. They had been long trying to disarm the population, through laws, rules and regulations and yes even trickery. Falling short of their goal of disarming the population, they resorted to building “Fortress Government” to counter the Patriots. Let’s not forget the massive amount of weapons and ammunition the federal government had been acquiring and stockpiling. Bristling with guns. Does that sound familiar? Failing in one goal and then building a Fortress. A Fortress to stave off what you fear most. Now the LLSP their henchmen and handlers have another problem. The “Fortress Government” that they built is about to fall into the hands of those it was to be used against, if the need arose. Divine intervention? Maybe.

Let’s not forget what happens when you think you have won when the enemy is still quite capable of fighting. Not just fighting but launching an offensive. The Battle of the Bulge as it is known started in mid-December 1944 and lasted till mid-January 1945.

The election of Donald J. Trump as 45th President of the U.S. was just the first step, much like the landing at Normandy. There is still a long way to go to achieve final victory. The LLSP for now appears beaten, but we must be wary. There is still time for them to do what they do best, muck everything up. The next “hurdle” is January 20th, it is akin to breaking out of Normandy and going “inland”. From Neptune to Overlord.

Glad that’s over

So now the big question is; Who won Trump or Clinton? Both campaigns will be running to the office to check the latest polls. The other minor parties will be doing the same. Checking to see who got a “bump” and who lost ground.

Today the pollsters will be out in force asking their questions, the same questions that allow you pick from of their responses rather than letting you answer their questions in your own words. Remember this pollsters are paid, depending on who is paying the bill sets the questions, how they are worded and your “options” for an answer.

The talking-heads will have a field day today dissecting what Trump and Clinton said. The presidential debates are meant, I suppose, for the purpose of helping the undecided make up their minds and perhaps to give reason to change support form one to the other. The last of these two reasons is pretty much pointless since some states already have early voting in progress. Those people have already made their choice. Nothing in the debate tonight, or the future debates, would have any consequence to those that have already voted, they have already made their choice. It is also very doubtful that either lost or gained any support. There are very few if any voters that have not already made their choice and are just waiting to cast their ballot, no matter what they may claim.

Since everybody is going to declare who they think won or lost the at the debate, I might as well get in on it. So here we go.
Who won? Nobody.
Who lost? Everybody.
I even lost something in this debate. I lost nearly 2 hours of my life. That is two hours I lost and will never be able to get back. Gone forever and for what?

The problem with the debates is the debates. The questions are pointless. Does anybody expect a great, knock it out of the park answer when the question is pointless? Then only two minutes are allowed for a response and thirty seconds for a rebuttal. What could possibly be learned from 2 minutes much less 30 seconds?

Let me give you an example of a pointless question? The moderator asked a question concerning the racial tensions in America. Think about how he phrased the question. Think about it this way. If he were to ask; How do you plan to deal with the racial tensions in America? The answer would be the standard run of the mill answer, and the usual blames will be attached. One claims a lack of law and order and the other claims mistrust. Guess what? Both are the correct answer.

There is another thing about the questions at the debates, the question are phrased so that they can be answered in 2 minutes. There is another and perhaps more important point to make about the debates. The moderator is also a voter, which means that he or she has a preferred candidate and a preferred party. They will not ask questions that may cause embarrassment to the candidate or the party, or in this case the political party nominee. He or she will not show the same discretion to the other side.

What I personally would like to see in the debates are questions that require a much longer answer and some critical thought. For instance, if the moderator wants to ask about racial tensions in America, maybe he or she could raise the question in this manner. Why are there racial tensions in America? I would like to see someone, anyone answer that question in two minutes? (Maybe I will do a post about that subject in the future).

If you want to have productive debates ask better questions. Another thing that would help would be that the moderator leave his personal agenda out of the process.

For me nothing has changed. One wants you to have the opportunity to have a job and the other wants you to have the opportunity to get free stuff.

Time to wake-up

Wake-up sleepy heads, as they say “Wake-up and smell the coffee”. While you are at it wake-up the American spirit, the spirit that should reside inside every legal and lawful American citizen. Wake-up your values and take notice of what is going on around this country. Wake-up your morals and take notice of what is happening around this country.

Then again you may not be sleeping, you may be like the frog in the pot of water. You were not placed in a pot of hot water if you were you would have recognized the danger that you were in and you would have immediately gotten out. You were placed in a pot of water with a comfortable temperature and you remained. A fire was built under the pot you were comfortable in and the temperature was slowly increased and you never felt the danger that was awaiting you. The water is getting hotter and hotter and still you remain, never noticing the water is at, if not already past the temperature where if you were placed in it at the beginning you would have gotten out. Perhaps you have gotten comfortable while you are being stewed. Comfortable and complacent.

America finds herself in the unfortunate position of being the frog in the pot of near boiling water. The American spirit has been being boiled out of the citizens for so long the American spirit is being boiled out of America herself. There is at this point two flames in America one is growing bigger and stronger while the other is growing smaller and weaker. The flame growing is the flame under the pot with America in it. The flame growing smaller is the flame of the American spirit, Freedom and Liberty.

Now, let’s talk about “Making America Great Again” more specifically the “Greatness of America”. America truly is a great, unique and exceptional country no matter what the “apologists” claim or say. I would dare to say that there is no nation on earth like America. What was it that made America great to begin with. A little history, short version.

America was not a free and independent nation in 1776 or times prior. The 13 colonies existed under the rule of a tyrannical and despotic Monarch. A point was reached when the insufferable was no longer sufferable. America declared its independence in 1776, and then fought for it for 5 long years. It took 5 years for the British to finally get the message that the Colonials had stood all they could stand and would stand no more, but get the message they did. The beginnings of American greatness began with the Colonials they wanted freedom and liberty and were willing to take up arms and possibly sacrifice everything, even their lives to gain it. Independence was not granted to the Colonials, they fought for it and won it many died to gain it. Those brave souls earned for each and every legal and lawful citizen of this great nation Independence with all of the Freedoms and Liberties associated with it. In short America became a great nation not because of the world, but instead in spite of the world, and therefore owes no apologies to the world.

So, how did America find herself sitting in a pot of near boiling water? There are three answers to that question.
The first answer is sadly enough the citizens. The citizens found out soon enough that they could indeed vote themselves money from the national treasury(more on this in a later post).
The second answer is that the government changed. They found out soon enough that they did not need consent to govern(more on this in a later post too).
The third answer is that the Conservatives found themselves swallowed up by the Republican Party(more on this now). The Republican Party does not now or has it ever represented any Conservative values. There have been times when a Conservative have been elected President and along with him brought Conservative values, but was only allowed to implement Conservative changes to government that the Republican Party would allow. The Republican Party is the party of Big Government, always has been always will be. The Democratic Party is nothing like it was, and has deteriorated to a level of outright Socialism. The funny thing is that most Conservatives are former Democrats. President Reagan was at one time a Democrat, as he famously stated when asked why he left the Democratic Party “I did not leave the Democratic Party the Democratic Party left me”. President Reagan knew and recognized that the Democratic Party had been hi-jacked and would never return, lost forever to Radical Ideologues. There are still many Democrats in the spirit of President Thomas Jefferson and President Ronald Reagan, but none of them hold office as Democrats and sadly they do not fit in with Republicans(this will also be covered in a later post).

There is before America a chance, perhaps the last chance to get out the hot water. That chance comes in the form of Mr. Donald J. Trump, he is no Jefferson or Reagan but he is the possible way out. Look at the rest of the contenders, one is a self-proclaimed socialist and the other is, well. Sanders and Clinton will both keep America in hot water, boiling the very life and spirit out of her and us.

Many of us recognized the dangers of being a pot of water long ago and got the heck out of it. Now we find ourselves trying to pull America out of the pot. The task before us is a great one. We try to pull but America sinks deeper in the pot, slowly having the spirit cooked out of her. There are times when we make great progress then a set back occurs and America slips back in. But we keep trying, it would be a shame to let this Nation continue to boil. At any rate, if you are asleep wake the heck-up realize that America is in a heap of trouble climb out of the pot dry yourself and for God’s sake help us pull this great nation out of the proverbial pot. You do have another choice, you can remain asleep in the pot of boiling water until one day you hear someone say “Put a fork in her she is done”. Your choice.

There has to be a reason why the political elite and the political powerbrokers are still trying to derail the Trump Train, and this may just explain it.

First Donald J. Trump got where he is in the presidential primary process not because of them, but in spite of them, even their best efforts to stop him failed. He spent his own money, not the money from the usual cast of characters. That must really tick them off. Not only did he spend his own money, he spent less than the political insiders. He spent less because it was his money, and not other people’s money. This is something politicians will never grasp, they spend other people’s money when they should be spending money like it was their own. If they did the nation would not be 19 trillion in debt.

Second the establishment politicians have let the conservatives down for far too long. The political elite, the powerbrokers and their surrogates claim that Trump is not conservative enough or a true conservative. For far too long the voters have had to support the so-called conservative candidate the republican party wanted. When they are elected the vast majority of them act a liberal socialist progressives. We have taken the bull by the horns, so to speak, and caused a revolution in the republican party. The voters will decide who is conservative enough to represent them and your party not you. This must really tick you off, to that I say good. You have been ticking us off long enough. We are now the adults in the room.

Third the voters are tired of being lied to. Donald J. Trump has not even officially won the primary process as of yet and is already fulfilling campaign promises. Imagine that, as impossible as it sounds, we have a man running in the primaries and he is already fulfilling campaign promises. Not exactly a quality of a career politician, is it?

Fourth Donald J. Trump appeals to the voters, look at the number of votes he has already amassed in the primaries and it is not over yet. The people must feel that they will finally have a voice in government. Not only that, there is finally a presidential candidate that speaks to the voters, not the lobbyists, special interest groups or donors. Some talking heads claim that the Trump Train is a cult of personality. I disagree with them, but I will say that at least Trump has some personality, unlike the previous nominees and the establishment politicians that were in this primary at the start. The last two republican nominees were whipped in the general elections, so much for electability.

Fifth you are afraid of Trump. Perhaps you fear a Trump presidency more than you fear a Clinton presidency. Do you fear Trump because of what he might or might not do? Are you afraid that the game might be up? Do you fear exposure of your past misdeeds?

The Strategy of Cowardice

That which is happening now is certainly revealing. What it reveals is that desperation has set in. The republican field of candidates seeking the nomination has dwindled from 17 to now just 3. Enter the Cruz/Kasich “deal”. With the Cruz/Kasich deal allows the primary process to go forward with 3 candidates in some states and only 2 candidates in others. Donald Trump is and will be the only one of the three on every ballot from this point forward. Donald Trump is demonstrating that he is the only one with guts enough to move forward risking defeat each and every time. While the other two will no longer have to risk coming in dead last in a field of three, but then only at certain times. They get to choose the times and which contests they will skip. Fine and Dandy for you. What you are doing is limiting the choices the voters could make. Another instance of a politician placing himself first and foremost. Neither Cruz or Kasich are willing to skip a contest they could possibly do well in. Donald Trump is willing to participate in every contest, win-lose or draw. It appears to me that the Cruz/Kasich deal shows that neither Cruz or Kasich has the guts to face a tough fight. They simply pull out of possible loss. Rather than risk losing they simply choose not to play. The strategy of Cowardice.

Cruz and Kasich are blinded by political ambition. They are so blinded that neither sees that the voters see them as a part of the problem, they are not seen as part of the solution. They just do not get it. If they do get it, they simply do not believe it. Whereas, Donald Trump is seen as part of a possible solution. That is another thing that they do not get.

I have no doubt that this “deal” was only one of the many things discussed and “hatched” at the closed-door meetings between the RNC, politicians and their donors. I also have no doubt that promises were made for Cruz and Kasich to go along with this “back-room deal”. I also have no doubt that this deal is or was the only “back-room deal” or scheme planned and hatched. I am sure the rest of this plan will come to light at a later time.

The RNC has now reached a point where desperation is setting in. The stop Trump effort was in no doubt, at least to me a RNC plan. I believe that they are so desperate they would be satisfied if a democrat once again occupied the Oval Office. What would be the “rhyme and reason”. The only answer I can come up with is to protect the Status Quo. The entire political system in general and politics including politicians specifically is corrupt, to what level the corruption has reached is any body’s guess. The only one’s that know that answer are the political insiders, and they ain’t telling. We ain’t knowing because we ain’t asking the right questions. Donald J. Trump might just be the question and the answer. The level of corruption in government would be exposed if an outsider exposed it, but to expose the corruption the outsider must get inside. An outsider could also expose the level of corruption in the government as well. I have a hunch that once the level of corruption is exposed the citizens will expect and demand accountability and may even seek out some retribution.

The RNC must realize by now that do not just have one problem(Donald J. Trump) they have another problem(We The People). Every vote for Trump is a vote for America, it is not a vote for the RNC. I believe that the voters in both parties have lost Faith, Confidence and Trust in the political parties and most of all in the politicians. We no longer Trust the political parties or the establishment politicians. Even if the RNC finds a way to stop Mr. Trump, they still have us to contend with. The voting in the primary process has proven that the RNC and the politicians are no longer trustworthy. More than that the RNC can no longer trust us to support it. It was not the Thirteen Colonies that abused the British Crown, it was the British Crown that abused the Thirteen Colonies. The Colonials finally reached the point were they would no longer stand for abuses. Much the same with the RNC and the voters. It was not the Voters who abused the RNC, it was the RNC that abused the Voters. The point is arriving where the voters are growing tired of the abuses. How will the RNC contend with us, We The People? We can no longer trust you and now you can no longer trust us. Greed and Corruption caused the rift between the Crown and the Colonies. Greed and corruption has caused the rift between the RNC and the Voters. Remember the RNC made the first move, the same as the British Crown. The sheep are waking up. What will the RNC do to “lull” them back to sleep? Can they?

Now it is time for the big question. Which of the three remaining candidates would make a great president, the ones who avoids possible difficulties or the one willing to face all possible hardships? One that avoids challenges or the one who boldly faces challenges? This provides part of the answer to the question of why the people are so “pissed-off”. It seems that politicians avoid anything that could endanger their political future.

Neither of the two participating in this scheme are willing to drop-out and let the remaining two “fight-it-out” to the end. It is no longer about gathering a few delegates here and there. And let us not forget this deal was hatched between and by politicians in a moment or fit of desperation, one politician promising to help another politician reach his goal. There in lies the problem both Cruz and Kasich want the same thing, both want to be president. In true form of politicians one of them is bound to break the deal. Neither Cruz or Kasich could reach out to the voters and gain their support, confidence or trust. This is why they are behind and losing badly.

Kasich stayed in the race to force a contested convention. Cruz would be happy with a contested convention. I thought the object was to win not force a contested convention. It seems pretty sad that the focus has shifted from winning to tying, or preventing a win. I am sure Cruz would rather Kasich just drop-out all together, but Kasich has no intention to drop-out. Trump has the same goal he has had from the beginning, and that is to win, go to the convention to accept the nomination.

One thing that perplexes me is when a candidate has the strategy of running on the statement “I am the only one that can beat Hillary Clinton”. The only way to beat Hillary Clinton or whoever the Democrat nominee is, is if the voters turn-out to vote for you. If the voters do not vote for you, you do not win. So far the majority of voters have voted for another candidate, not you. I understand the concept of bound and unbound delegates. If the convention lasts long enough eventually all delegates are unbound. Winning the convention makes little difference if the general election is lost. Don’t believe me look back at 2008 and 2012.

There are “talking heads” that claim the Trump candidacy is nothing more than a “Populist Movement”, meaning that Trump is only winning because he is popular. The general election is nothing more than a popularity contest, with the addition of the Electoral College, giving the illusion of representation. Electoral College votes are doled out based on the popularity of the candidate in that state, if he or she fails to get the most popular votes he or she does not get the Electoral College votes. The most popular candidate gets the Electoral votes. Winning the popular vote in Alaska does not carry the same weight as winning the popular vote in California. The whole election process, every election process is based on popularity. The next president has to be popular in enough states to lay claim to 270 Electoral College votes, no matter how unpopular he or she is in the remainder.

The Declaration of Independence ends with these last few words, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor. Could you even imagine politicians of today using such words and actually meaning it? I submit to you they would not. Any documents written today would end with, we pledge to each other the Fortunes of others, we are politicians we have no Honor.

Personally I would laugh my ass off if Cruz and Kasich never got another single vote. If either want to win, then beat Donald J. Trump on the Field of Honor, or do you not have any Honor? No you are politicians, Honor is foreign to you.

How on earth did America reach this low point?

Perhaps a better question would be, How low will America sink? I’m not even talking about the presidential primaries or the conventions, though that seems to be the subject of the times. what I am talking about is America in general and the American citizens in particular.

Is it the state(condition) of America dragging down the citizens or is it the state(condition) of the citizens dragging America down? The answer to this question is that one feeds off of the other in what appears to be a never-ending cycle.

The current state(condition)of America.
If America were a person in the Emergency Room what level of care would be needed? America is by no means in a condition of being placed on Life Support, but the Vital Signs are not good and treatment is required to prevent a further deterioration in Vital Signs. Much like a person America could only end up in the Emergency Room for Illness or Injury or both. Triage would reveal the reason and course of treatment. The triage would reveal that there is both an Illness and an Injury that has caused the continued decay and decline in America. But there is a Cure.

The decline of America and the American citizens began with the birth or more aptly the creation of Generation E. The American government created the E Generation, and the created Generation E has given birth to millions who are a part of Generation E. To answer the question, What is Generation E? Generation E is the Entitlement Generation, the Generation that believes that they are Entitled to anything and everything. Not only are the good and decent citizens forced to contend with and support the Entitlement Generation, we are forced to contend with Generation O and Generation D. In case you are wondering, Generation O is the Offended(by any and everything)Generation, and Generation D is the Dependent(on government for any and everything)Generation.

In the not to distant past there was one constant that kept America safe and strong and that was the citizens. When Japan attacked at Pearl Harbor it was done so to deal a death-blow to the U.S Military and especially the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. Japan did not attack or attempt an invasion on America for one simple reason, an outright invasion of America would have come at an extremely high price and the price was unaffordable to Japan. Had Japan mounted an outright invasion of America, Japan would have faced a heavily armed population. Not only were the citizens armed but they were a hardy and hardened lot. It was famously said by one Japanese “There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass”. The Japanese were ambitious not crazy. It is my opinion that no country on earth would attack America for the very same reason.

In 1941 there were many veterans of WW 1 still among the citizenry and still relatively young and able-bodied hardened by war and further hardened by the Great Depression. Many of the population still lived in rural areas on farms and ranches. They too were hardened by the Great Depression. The people in the rural areas had to make do with what they had and make the best of it. These people had skills, farming skills, raising their own food and hunting skills(actually going into the woods and mountains and taking game)to feed their families. If things were needed that they could not afford they made up for the lack of cash by trading and bartering. They made do without government handouts. They endured the hardships and pressed on. That was then.

This is now. Look around the general public today, you will see many(to many)that are lazy and fat. You see many that will not do for themselves, they expect and even demand that the government do and provide for them. These are the same ones that do nothing to better themselves. These are the ones that feel that they are entitled to something, everything and anything even though they have never earned it. They feel Entitled and are Offended if someone insist that they provide for themselves and have become Dependent on government. They have been Conditioned to believe that the government provides Free Services(Welfare), the government does provide Welfare, but it is not Free, for the government to Give to one it must first be Taken from another. Does anyone really believe that these people know what a true hardship is? They will stand in line for hours upon hours or even camp-out in front of a store just to be the first or among the first to buy the latest electronic gadget or game or to see a movie. But they will not stand in line to do their civic duty and vote. If they do vote and have to wait in line they claim that is not fair or places an undue hardship on them and demand that the government do something. They readily show photo ID to by beer and liquor but cry foul if they must show ID to vote. The only hardship these people know is if they can not acquire the latest electronic gadget or if there reality show gets cancelled. This is the Illness.

The preceding paragraph was not written for every citizen, if it does not apply to you then you will recognize that fact. At the same time those that it does apply to will not recognize that it was written for and about them. Would anybody really expect these people to come to the defense of this country? Would they be willing to lay down their gadgets and pick up a rifle and get behind a blade of grass? I submit that they would not. They would rather submit to an enemy than Offend the same enemy.

Sadly there are not any veterans of WW1 among us now they have all since passed. However, we are fortunate to still have among us some veterans of WW 2, Korea and Viet Nam these too are hardy and hardened men and women. But sadly they are growing old and they too will pass from us in the not to distant future. Additionally we still have among us the veterans of Desert Storm, of which I am one and we too are aging and undoubtedly will also pass from existence. As will the ones who follow.

One undeniable fact is that the Entitled, Offended and Dependent Generations exist in every generation from the Depression era to the present.

Governments role in the decline of America. Where should I start?
Should I start with Tariffs? Tariffs are no more than a tax. A tax placed on goods imported that is paid wholly by the consumer. The tax is not paid by the overseas manufacturer. The tax is not paid by the exporting country. The tax is paid by the consumer in the importing nation to the government of the importing country.
Should I start with Subsidies? Subsidies are no more than corporate welfare. They are used to prop up businesses or industries that the government says provides a benefit. The only one that benefits is the business or industry. Subsidies are paid for with tax dollars. The consumer pays the subsidy(if they pay taxes)and still pays for the product. Buying one thing twice.
Should I start with the other subsidy, Welfare? Yes welfare is a subsidy. The tax payers are forced to subsidize the lifestyles of others that will not or choose not to finance their lifestyles for themselves. There are many welfare cases that are generational. A reward for bad behavior and bad decisions.
Should I start with Income Taxes? Income taxes are at this point a penalty for producing. Welfare is a reward for not producing.
Should I start with the National Debt? Nearing 20 trillion dollars in debt, money spent buying votes and friends. Please explain to me how everything that was taken in was spent or wasted and why you had to borrow an additional 20 trillion dollars to continue spending or wasting.
The list goes on and on. This is the Injury.

Taxes at the outset were intended for the Welfare(Well-Being)of the Nation. They were intended to fund the needful functions of Government, they were not intended to subsidize the less fortunate and especially not the lazy and slothful. There was warning from long-ago that went something like this; The Republic is in danger of failure when the populace discovers they can and then begin voting themselves money from the national treasury. They discovered it, they do it and the Republic is in great peril.

If you need proof that America is in decline you need to look no further that this. Some men that claim to feel like a woman demand to use facilities for women. The state says no, men use men’s rooms and women use women’s rooms. Then some federal government knucklehead says that might be discrimination based on sex. Some men feel Entitled to use women’s rooms based on how they feel and are Offended that they can’t and are Dependent on government to force the women to comply and allow men in the women’s rooms. College students that seek counseling because they were traumatized by someone writing in chalk “Trump” on a sidewalk.

There is another aspect to “Making America Great Again”, other than bringing back jobs and money from overseas, though that would be nice. What is needed to make America great again is for the American citizens to make themselves great again. The citizens need a revival of the American Spirit. American citizens need to become hardy and hardened. American citizens need to return to the practice of Self-Reliance and become Self-Dependent. Rely and Depend on ones own self. Stop being lazy and slothful. Learn to live with-in one’s own means. Learn to make do. Become the one behind the blade of grass. This is the cure so to speak.

America is great, always has been, always will be. The government and some of the citizens are dragging her down. Every time I hear a political clown claiming that he or she will shrink the “size and scope” of government I just bust out laughing. No politician has any intention of shrinking the federal government, I especially get a kick out of one claiming to abolish the IRS. Just how does one abolish a federal government agency? No politician will shrink the federal government in size or scope. If the federal government were to be shrunk, that would in theory return power to either the state or to the people. Do you really think the federal government would empower the states much less the people? Government at all levels is about power and control. What we the people should be concerned with is, when will the government gain absolute power and total control? If and when government gains absolute power and total control over the people it will be because the citizens allowed it to happen.

All of the Kings, Tyrants and Dictators of the world have always feared one thing and one thing only, and that is a nation of Free People. America was founded as a Free Nation(at that time Free and Independent States)inhabited by a Free People Governed by Consent. It is my opinion, If the nation continues down the current path the nation will no longer be a Free Nation inhabited by a Free People governed by Consent, it will become a Nation Ruled by Force with no free inhabitants.

So I now ask what is it that keeps our enemies from our shores? I can assure you that it is not the Entitled, Offended or Dependent Generations. The answer simply put is that there are still enough Hardy and Hardened Americans to make the cost to high to bear. The downside to this is that time and laziness has taken a terrible toll on the Hardy and Hardened.

To answer the Question, How low will America sink? To the very bottom if the people do not wake up and start acting like the Americans and if the government does not start governing as the Founding Fathers envisioned. Both must happen. So which are you ? Part of the Illness? Part of the Injury? Are you willing to be part of the Cure.
