Southern Born, Southern Proud

This post will in most likelihood send the farcebook censors running for their safe-places and frankly I don’t give a rat’s behind. The time is upon us where we must make and take a stand. We Southrons(Southerners)must do all we can to preserve our Heritage and preserve our Rights as Southrons and Christians.

Think on this. How many times have we been lectured too about being tolerant of others? Yet, we are not tolerated, we are ridiculed.

We are expected to be tolerant of gays and lesbians, I believe they are called the LBGT community, I also understand that a whole plethora of other letters have been added to their description. But no letter they have claimed indicates that they welcome those of us who are straight(normal). We are expected to be welcoming to them yet they are not expected to be welcoming of us. So much for tolerance and reciprocity. If this crap keeps up we will all be expected to be a part of the LBGT community. No Thanks.

Think about how many times per day you and I see the symbols of the LBGT and what ever letter they now have affixed to their movement. Whether it be on the media outlets or within our own sight. We are expected to react positively or not to react at all. We cant claim to be offended, for if we did we would be called homophobic. We cant run to our “safe-spaces”, we don’t have safe-spaces nor do we feel a need to have them.

We are expected to be tolerant of those who enter our country illegally. Law-makers at the federal and state levels have even introduced legislation to protect their rights, some governors have even signed that legislation into law. Rights by the way they do not have. Those who are here legally and lawfully have Constitutional protections, those who are here illegally and unlawfully dont. The democrats even shutdown the government over the issue of illegal immigrants, dreamers and DACA. They are in this country illegally and display the flags of their native lands, this to is not supposed to offend us. Yet they are offended by our flags, we must hide our flag from their sight so as not to offend them. They burn our flag in protest, but what are they protesting? We have been lectured too by some in high government offices that America is a nation of immigrants. Well that may be, true to a point. The immigrants of times past assimilated into American society, learning to read and write English. Those days are long past, today immigrants are no longer encouraged to assimilate. As a matter of fact it appears that assimilation is discouraged, even frowned upon. Why do I have to press 1 to continue in English?

We must be tolerant of the Muslims coming to this country. Employers are being forced to bend over backwards to accommodate their religious beliefs and activities. At the same time employers are sued if they allow Christian prayers on company property. We must be tolerant of Islam while being intolerant of Christianity. If we get offended we are labeled as islamophobic.

We are expected to be tolerant of the what I call the gender confused. We are expected to let them use the bathroom of their choice, no matter how they are plumbed. We are not supposed to get offended if a man thinking he is a woman or vise versa, for that day to go into the bathroom with our wives and/or children and not complain. Wouldn’t want to offend them. I am not quite just sure if there is a phobia, ist or ism label for that one or not, don’t rightly care. There is at he same time no consideration of the woman who wants to use the women’s room absent the prying eyes of a man claiming to be a woman. The offended confused can and do sue because they have been “shortchanged”, not allowing them to express their preference. Yet, what legal avenue does the one being forced to submit to the bathroom choice policy? Do that with mine and I will do more than just offend you.

As a side note, to those businesses that have adopted the policy of using which ever bathroom you want my shadow will never cross your threshold. Much the same for those businesses that post a no firearms sign.

For most the rest of this post I will be using visual aids found on the internet.

As a matter of fact we are expected to be tolerant of everyone and everything but ourselves. We are expected to deny our culture and heritage. To borrow a line from a book I read, We are expected to sit atop the stool of everlasting repentance, apologizing for our culture and heritage. Well, this ol’ boy aint sitting atop no stool, I aint got nothing to apologize for. I certainly aint gonna apologize for being a Southron. I certainly aint gonna apologize for being the descendant of a Confederate soldier. I will also not apologize for being descended from those brave men who first fought for our Independence from the British. I am a Floridian, and no apology there either. I am an un-reconstructed Southron, and again no apology. If you are sitting atop that stool kindly get the hell down. Take a stand. Make a stand. Be proud of your culture and heritage.

The social justice warriors are demanding that the symbols of the South must be torn down. They seem to be offended by our culture and our heritage. The Flags of the Confederacy, the Statues and the Monuments are all offensive to them they claim that they are the symbols of slavery and white supremacy. Hogwash, they are no such thing. To borrow a line from another book I read, These people suffer from Confederaphobia, Confederaphobia an American epidemic.

So what are we to do? Well that is entirely up to you, but time is short, do something. I have few suggestions.

Quit apologizing and get down from the stool. This should be easy. Did or do you own slaves? No, then quit apologizing for slavery and quit apologizing for those who did. See how easy that is.

Educate yourself on your culture and heritage. Realize that you have been lied to since grade school and seek the truth. The soldiers of the Confederacy were noble men who believed in their cause. It was not a lost cause or a fool’s errand.
If you are in denial and find yourselves constantly apologizing for being a Southron, it is you who are on a fool’s errand.

Educate your children and grandchildren. They are being taught a lie, it is your responsibility to teach them the truth.
It is our descendants who must carry on. At this moment the preservation of the Southron heritage and culture seems pretty bleak. This must be turned around.

One would think that we are living in George Orwell’s book 1984. The Ministry of Truth had the power to say what the truth was and change the truth a the drop of a hat. There was no truth in that ministry, much the same as the education system teaches everything but the truth, while calling what they teach the truth. The former truth was dumped down the memory hole and the new truth
became the truth, the truth that had always been. 2+2=4 right? But it equals exactly what they say it does. Remember the impeachment hearings of a few years back. It depends on what your definition of is, is.

When a Confederate symbol taken down put two, three or more up in its place. Show your pride. In fact you could put up a Christian flag for good measure. Yes you can be a Southron and a Christian at the same time. My ancestors were. Don’t believe the lie that the Confederacy was not a Christian country and a Christian people.

Educate others. Spread the word. Spread the truth. Join an organization that supports and promotes the South, Southron Culture and Southron Heritage. If you join an organization participate to the level you can. Don’t be browbeaten into being at every event across the land, or chastised for not being at some place others think or thought you should have been at. Most of us have limited resources and have jobs to support our families. If you cant find one start one, even a book club.

Forget about the whole “coexist” ideology. You can not now and never will be able to coexist with those who only want you to be destroyed. You may be perfectly capable of being a good neighbor with people who are different with you, but they will never be good neighbors to you. Coexistence is a fool’s errand. It was Gen. William T. Sherman who once said “The problem with the South is that it has to many Southerners”. Fully one-quarter of the male population of the South were either killed or maimed during your civil war. Towns, cities and the Southern people were ravaged and savaged. Well Billy Boy, both my Great-Great Grandfathers survived and here I am.

Make no mistake about it what is going now with the symbols, statues and monuments of the Confederacy is no more than another period of Reconstruction, reconstruction 2.0, if you will. The South may have lost its bid for independence, the South did not lose its identity. There is another thing, the socialist social justice warriors will not stop with eradicating the last vestiges of the Confederacy. While they “chomp” away at the symbols Confederacy, they are “nibbling” away at much more.

Hide and watch. It will not stop with eradicating the Confederacy, they are already moving towards other targets. Think the plaques at the Church attended by George Washington. Much the same as the, at the time civil unions of same-sex couples. Civil unions was not the goal, it was however a “launching pad” towards their ultimate goal. Their goal was same-sex marriage. Same-sex marriage is with us today, not by legislation, but by a ruling, a decree if you will. Not by the president, but by the courts, the Supreme Court. The majority opinion of 9 people in black robes decided that the rest of the country had to succumb to and accept same-sex marriage as the law of the land. Make no mistake their goal is the complete and total eradication of this Republic. Which brings this question, How do you eat an elephant? One bit at a time. Eradication of all things Confederate is just the “launching pad”.

There was a futuristic fiction movie some years ago, the title was Fahrenheit 451. It was a movie about firemen, they did not exactly fight fires, they instead would set things afire, books to be specific. There were another group of people in the movie. They spent their time talking, not just talking but reciting books that they had read and memorized. As they aged they began reciting to the young, the young were taught to memorize a book that they had never seen, memorizing the spoken word. If the terror were to ever end the surviving generations would then be able to reproduce, print the books that had been lost. They were saving literature and history. If not for this effort all history would have been lost. I encourage you to watch the movie, before it too is lost.

Sherman said what he said in his time. I say what I say in my time. The problem with the South is that has too many “carpetbaggers” and “scalawags”.

God Bless Florida

Some do, some dont

Some get it, some dont and probably never will.

The latest mass killing(murdering)occurred in a Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. This was not the only shooting(murdering)that has occurred in a Christian House of Worship. Before the one in Texas there was one in Tennessee. Before the one in Tennessee there was one in South Carolina.

The one in Tennessee and the one in Texas have one thing in common. A concerned citizen brought the carnage to a halt. If I recall correctly the murdering at the Antioch Baptist Church was stopped by an Usher who wrestled the attacker to the ground. Again if I recall correctly the attacker(murderous savage)was shot in the leg. The murdering at the First Baptist Church was also brought to a halt by a concerned citizen. In this attack the concerned citizen exchanged fire with the attacker, as reported the attacker(again a murderous savage)was shot during the exchange. In the one in South Carolina the attacker(and again a murderous savage)was able to flee the scene, only to be captured a short time later. The murderous savage in Texas was not only shot, but when he attempted to flee was subsequently chased down by two townsfolk, including the one who had exchanged fire with and wounded the murderous savage.

This needs to be said and understood by all. In each of these instances the murderous savage knew he would face little if any resistance. They basically had the upper hand, the advantage if you will. They are brave when they have the advantage, not so much when they encounter resistance. None of the three murderous savages had planned on any meeting any real resistance.

I would like to point this out about society in this Republic today. The concerned citizen in Texas who grabbed his rifle and brought the savagery to an end is more the exception than the rule. Most in our society would have chosen not to get involved, if they did get involved it would have only been to the extent of grabbing their cellphone and making a video. This man chose to get involved, he grabbed his rifle(not a cellphone)and placing himself in great danger engaged the threat. He placed himself in great peril to defend the defenseless. To me that is the definition of a true Hero. This man exemplifies the meaning of the American Spirit, heroic and decisive action in the face of great peril. The other man, the driver of the truck also chose to get involved. This man also demonstrated great courage during the chase, determined to not let the murderous savage escape. Both of these men are exemplary and courageous in deed and character.

Now lets move on to those who dont get it and probably never will. This would be the gun control crowd, actually it should be called the “cult of gun control”. I call it a cult because to them it is a religion, but it is a cult. It is a false religion based on a false premise. It is based on the premise that what they call “gun crime” can be eliminated by placing further restrictions on law-abiding citizens. Passing laws and even more laws have no effect on those that choose to ignore or break the laws. If the rights of the citizens are infringed the only effect that would have would to be to provide even more victims of those who use a gun to commit a crime. I call the gun control a cult for another reason, they have Profits, false Profits. They follow a Profit who calls for more gun control while at the same time they are surrounded by armed security. They have guns to protect them while they seek to disarm others. The false “religion” of gun control headed by a false Profit, that makes it a cult.

Now we have a republican Senator from Texas siding with and reaching out to the democrats on gun control. This is a democrat windfall. It sounds as simple as writing legislation to enforce and strengthen laws on the books, but it is not that simple. It will not stop with legislation to fix existing legislation, it will lead to “comprehensive reform”. Currently the Air Force is being blamed for the failure on its part in reporting the conviction of the murderous savage in Texas. To me it is just another example of the government being above the law. When the government makes a mistake they just say “oops”. What happens to the rest of us if we make a similar mistake?

Now let’s go to those that get it. Once again a bad guy with a gun was stopped by a good guy with a gun. We have a sheriff here in Florida that has come out to say, “if you have a permit and a gun take your gun with you”. He gets it and so should you. I agree with what he has said.

You are your own “first line of defense”. Everyone who owns a gun should be proficient, range time and holster drills. I would like to say this, carrying a firearm comes with great responsibility. If you are not willing to accept that responsibility them for God’s sake do not carry. Let me point this out, the gun in your holster is not a “good luck charm”. Just because you have a concealed weapon and a permit is no guarantee that nothing bad will ever happen. Be proficient. If you want to carry a “good luck charm” get a rabbit’s foot, but then ask yourself what happen to the rest of the rabbit?

Now this is going to bring us to the subject of guns in Church. This is a subject that most congregations are unwilling to discuss. But it must be discussed. Before beginning with this I would like to point out this. We should be walking about this Republic everyday without a care in the world. We should be safe in our schools, offices, parks and everywhere we go, but things are different now.

There are many places that one would believe they were absolutely safe, but for today I will address only two. We should feel absolute safety in these two places, the sanctuary of the womb and the Sanctuary of the Church. Taking a little side road for just a minute. Let me go back to the “cult of gun control” for just a minute. The same people who favor gun control are the same people who favor abortion on demand. I find this to be more than ironic, they are perfectly willing to support abortion, which is not a Constitutional Right but oppose the private ownership of guns which is a Constitutional Right. Since 1973 it has been estimated that over 53 million babies have been murdered in the mother’s womb. The pro-choice “abortion cult” has their false Profits, the same as the “gun control cult”. The ones who push abortion have children and grand children. Those that support abortion only do so because their mothers chose life.

Now let’s go back to guns in the Church. This is going to cause angst in some Churches. I am of the opinion that every Church in this Republic have some sort of Church Protection Plan. I am also of the opinion that every male in the congregation carry his own personal firearm, that is, if he is trained, proficient and holds a permit if required and most importantly will to take on that responsibility. Some Pastors are going to be against guns in the Church. Some of the Congregation like is going to be opposed to guns in the Church. But I remind you of this you are your own and best first line of defense. As I have said before when a wolf comes it is best to have some wolf repellant.

There are those who claim that a handgun is not match for a rifle. Well that is true, but something is better than nothing. For a handgun to be effective against a rifle, the distance must be closed, either by the defender or the murderous savage. I am not for turning every Church in this Republic into a bristling fortress, but Churches like all “soft” targets must be “hardened”. We want people to come to Church and come to Jesus. We could lock our doors, but locks only keep honest people honest.

Above when I said “This man exemplifies the meaning of the American Spirit heroic and decisive”, that was and is true but it exemplified more than just the American Spirit. He exemplified the Christian Spirit. Willing to lay down his life for a friend. The Christian American Spirit.

Falling apart at the seams

The political establishment may have at last met its match. At long last we may see the party of Lincoln on the ash heaps of history along with the Federalist, Whig and Free Soil parties. At current there are two republican Senators who will not seek re-election, hopefully many more will join them. One of them cites something akin to party disloyalty, disloyalty by the president, as his reason for not seeking re-election. I say good riddance and dont let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya on the way out and please take as many of your kind as possible with you. I doubt that the democrats will ever field a candidate that would turn the democrat party on its ear as President Trump has done with the republican party. More on the democrats later.

President Trump has done more to expose the corruption in D.C. than any president in recent history. President Trump has not hijacked the republican party, he has however exposed the party for what it is. The republican party is now what it has always been, the party of big, big government. They believe that for every problem there is a government solution, when in fact most problems are the fault of government interference and intervention.

In order not to paint with too broad of a brush, let me say this. There are people serving in Congress in both parties that want to do the right thing. There are two things stopping them, first are the establishment politicians and second is the political party machine. The problem is that those wanting to do the right thing are few and far between, scarce as hen’s teeth.

Let me take a side road for jest a minute. There are many that call themselves Constitutional Conservatives while at the same time saying how much they admire Abraham Lincoln. They talk out both sides of their mouths. No one can be a Constitutional Conservative and an admirer of Lincoln, impossible I say. Lincoln did more to destroy the Constitution and this Republic than any other President. He took it upon himself to appoint himself Caesar of America. Read your history and research this for yourselves, you may just be surprised at what you find out about Mr. Lincoln.

Let me continue on this side road. More Presidents than not have done their level best to find a way to get around the Constitution. Most have been very successful at circumventing the Constitution. Some have weaponized the government, using government agents against their political opponents. Some have used the government to reward their supporters. Some have done both. Just following in the foot steps of Lincoln. The damage they have done may be unrepairable at this late date.

Now to the democrats. It seems that the democrats will risk losing an election or two even three just to get what they want. The best and most recent example of this would be Obamacare. The democrats took a gamble, a gamble that has paid off and will continue. Let me explain.

When the democrats had control of the entire government, the House, the Senate and the Presidency. They introduced, passed and signed into law the ACA(aka Obamacare)the was no republican input or votes in support of the ACA. It was purely a democrat law. If it worked it would have been a huge victory for the democrats. But the ACA was not designed to work, it was intended to fail. This is best shown by the statement of the former democrat Speaker of the House, when she famously said, “You have to pass it to find what is in it”. Since most if not all of the democrats voted to pass the ill-fated law never read it, they did not care what was in it. Then it started, the republicans stating how bad it was. But how did they know it was so bad? It would seem that no one read the thing. The republicans began their campaign to repeal the ACA. The democrats had the republicans just where they wanted them and their gamble began to pay off.

The republicans gained control of the House, but the democrats still controlled the Senate and the Presidency. The republicans began their attempts at repealing the ACA. They knew it would go nowhere, it would never be passed in the Senate. Little more than political grandstanding. Next the republicans took control of the Senate. Legislation finally would reach the President. They full well knew two things. First they knew the president was never going to sign any legislation that repealed the ACA, the democrats still controlled the presidency. Second they knew that they could not find enough votes to override a presidential veto. More political grandstanding.

The republicans either fell into a carefully crafted trap or painted themselves into a corner. There is a third possibility that I will get into later. The republicans from 2010 ran on a campaign promise to repeal the ACA. Then the term repeal and replace was bandied about. Well they have been unable to do either. They cant even find enough support in their own ranks to even get legislation moving forward. The republicans control the House, the Senate and have the Presidency. Which brings us to the third possibility. The republicans only said what would get them elected, there never was a real intention to do away with the ACA. Now we have a bi-partisan effort to save the ACA. So the republicans were lying all the time. Oh, color me shocked. The reason that the ACA is still with us is because the party that crafted it and the party that supposedly opposed it are both big government political parties. At some point the ACA will morph into a single payer system at which time the government will have complete and total control over the entire health care system. I believe it is or will be called Medicare for all. One thing for sure we will never be subjected to the lie about repealing the ACA again.

Now lets visit Tax Reform. It looks like some will get a tax break, a lower percentage paid into the government. But hold on, the republicans are proposing a plan that lets individuals put less into their 401k. A 401k lets a person build up a personal retirement account, tax deferred. Meaning the government only gets their cut when withdrawals are made. The republicans want to lower that amount. Meaning two things, first people will put less into their 401k(having less when they retire, if they can), second they will be having more taxable income(more revenue for the government). The tax cuts are only an illusion. The government gets their cut sooner. Even with a lower rate the people will see their taxable income going up, and on the same pay. Go figure.

Lets go back to the democrats for just a bit. When the democrats are the majority they seem to be able to any thing they want, the republicans being the minority seem to be unable to stop them. When the republicans are the majority the democrats seem to be able to stymie them at will. It leaves one to wonder if the democrats are the perpetual majority no matter which party is the majority. So much for a two-party political system. The democrats took a gamble to pass the ACA, the republicans are unwilling to take a gamble on repealing the ACA. The republicans may just find themselves in the minority again, and possibly forever.

I said the democrats were willing to take a gamble, I did not say they were stupid. Though the speeches and remarks by some democrat congressional members would indicate otherwise. Back in 2010 the democrats had the “whole ball of wax”, the House, the Senate and the Presidency yet they made no attempt at gun control. They could have had their way in the arena of personal firearms and the republicans would have been powerless to stop them. Yet they did nothing even though they are anti-gun zealots. Funny thing about this is the fact that no gun control group has yet to chastise them for taking no meaningful action when it comes to guns. No going at that alone as a political party would be tantamount to political party suicide. Gun control is the only area that the democrats have any interest in bi-partisanship, they are willing to take some of the blame for that one but not all of it. The way the republicans cave it will not be long before they join the democrats on gun control.

Now let’s go on to debts, deficits and budgets. The Republicans have proposed a 4 trillion-dollar budget, but there is no indication as to where that money will appear from. Perhaps a money pit or a printing press. We have been told for so long that there exists a national debt, hell I have even repeated that. I have read that the amount is close to if not exceeding 20 trillion. Now I am beginning to wonder if there is a national debt. It seems that the government can always find money somehow somewhere. We basically have no idea how much money the Treasury has, time to time has not shown up yet. We have no idea how much money is spent, or what the money was spent on. Patrick henry was right about the definition of time to time. There is no audit and no accountability when it comes to the Treasury or the Federal Reserve and any efforts to do so are stymied. The national debt may be non-existent, but rumors of its existence serves as an effective scare tactic. Each political party blames the other for the national debt, but both parties spend money like drunken sailors(not meant to disparage drunken sailors). We are told that a national debt exists and we are also told how much each of us or household is responsible for. I have borrowed nothing I am responsible for zero dollars. The taxes that I pay should be sufficient to cover my share of the costs to fund the government, for the things the government is supposed to do according to the Constitution. The only way I could possibly owe more would be if the government is operating outside of the Constitution.

Back to the republican Senators not seeking re-election. You obviously dont have the guts to follow through on your obligations. You will be departing with your “war chest” stacked full of cash, not to mention the millions you have acquired and a nice fat pension. You are set for life while those of us who counted on you to be honorable are left down here just getting by. Don’t worry yourself too much over our fate, we will get by not because of what you have done but in spite of what you have done.

One last point. For those complaining about the slow progress in draining the swamp consider this. If you drain the swamp to fast you may just find yourself up to your ass in alligators.

Knee-jerk reactions

Before getting started I wish to offer my condolences and sympathies to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting as well as their family members, friends and co-workers. I also wish to express my thanks to the first responders and to all of those at the concert who assisted the wounded and injured. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

As with the previous posts this post will cover a lot of ground and the same still applies.

It did not take long for the usual cast of clowns to surface, as usual. All of a sudden every Tom, Dick and Harry is an expert on everything from mass-shootings to ballistics. We unfortunately live a world of instant gratification. Answers to questions are not being answered fast enough to some, so in the absence of fact they interject theory. As usual the media is there shoving their confounded microphones in the face of survivors and the family members of victims, seeking to be first with a story any story. The investigation is ongoing and may take some time. Be patient and wait for the facts and report on that. Give those who lost family members time to grieve and give the wounded and injured time to heal.

Emotions are running high after the shooting in Las Vegas, and that is exactly what the usual cast of clowns count on an emotional response. It is always the same after any tragedy or disaster occurs. That which can be politicized will be politicized, but they must strike while the iron is hot. The facts do not matter, what does matter is politicizing the event as soon as possible. That and capitalizing on emotions.

So let me address the anti-gun crowd, the ones that are usually identified as being on the left. They demand more stringent gun control laws, and their supporters cheer them own. They claim that gun violence must end, but guns themselves are not violent, they are an inanimate object. Guns are no more violent than a knife, a car, a hammer, an axe or any other inanimate object. But if a person who is hell-bent on doing harm can get his/her hands on any inanimate object he/she can use that object to bring about destruction and death, if he/she chooses too.

So let us talk about laws for a minute. It seems that the enlightened clowns that write legislation think that they can eventually pass a piece of legislation that a criminal will obey. There is already a law on the books against murder, but that law does not prevent murder. The prisons and jails are full of people who could not bring themselves to obey the laws already on the books. No law passed has yet to have the desired effect on the criminal element. Law-abiding people obey laws, law breakers do not.

I have to ask this. Why must the enlightened clowns further restrict the rights of the law-abiding citizen in a vain attempt to have an effect on criminal activity? Name me just one law that could have been enacted that would/could have prevented the carnage in Las Vegas. You cant can you? But your knee-jerk reaction is to think you can. You pass laws banning high-capacity magazines, the criminals still possess high-capacity magazines. You pass laws saying don’t do this or that and still the criminals do what they want.

God, Himself wrote the First Laws, the Ten Commandments, on tablets of stone and gave them to Moses and the people. God said “don’t murder” and still people murder. Those laws were set in stone. Does congress think they have more sway than God?

For arguments sake, let’s say that by some stroke of luck you are able to repeal the Second Amendment. What would that do for you? Nothing. Now let us say that you pass and enact legislation to ban all firearms, privately owned firearms that is. What does that do for you? Little to nothing. Now let us say you pass legislation that all privately owned firearms must be surrendered within so many days. What does that do for you? Again little to nothing. Sure some will surrender their firearms but most will/would not. Now you have created an even bigger problem for yourselves, sort of another unintended consequence. You really have no idea how many firearms are in this country. Do you? How will/would you know if all of them were surrendered? You would not would you? Not only do you not know for sure just how many firearms there are you also have no idea how much ammunition for those firearms there is. What you would have done in this instance would be to force the people to make a choice. A choice to remain law-abiding citizens or to become law-breaking citizens.

Let us now say that you did repeal the Second Amendment and pass the required legislation. How would you enforce that legislation? Even if the tidy sum of one million firearms were surrendered, you would have to assume that there were many more. What would you do about them? You only have two possible courses of action. Forget about the possibility that many more firearms were still in the hands of private owners. Or go to every home in America and kick-in the front door and search the residence for banned firearms. Some people are not going to take kindly to option two. You created yet another problem.

I might point out one other little item for you. There is the distinct possibility that some States will refuse to comply with a Federal action of this nature. They will simply say that that Federal Law does not apply in that particular State, simply ignoring federal law. Effectively Nullifying federal law within the boundaries of that State and there may be more than one. You will have no choice but to send in federal agents and forces to enforce your federal law. Now you have a really big problem.

No wait, you can not send in federal agents and forces to enforce federal law. You already have several states ignoring, Nullifying, federal law. You have several states that have passed laws allowing the recreational use of marijuana, which also allows for the possession of marijuana. You did not send in federal forces to force the states back into compliance with federal drug laws. Oh, and don’t forget about the states, counties and cities that are ignoring federal immigration laws by providing sanctuary to person illegally in this country. If the federal government took no action when several states ignored federal law and did what they wanted, how could the federal government justify going into a state to enforce one law while ignoring the nullification of others?

No, you will not repeal the Second Amendment, or pass/enact legislation to prohibit the private ownership of firearms, unless you want a repeat of 1860/1861. If you had any intention of doing so you would have done it when the democrats had the House, Senate and the White House, 2008-2010. Quit lying to the people. You only seek campaign donations. Pandering to your base, pretty much the same as the republicans.

What you will do is to pass more meaningless laws, and some of those laws have/had unintended consequences as well. You will likely propose legislation that bans the manufacture, sale and possibly the possession of stocks that reset the trigger of a semi-automatic rifle that allows for rapid fire. You may also ban the manufacture, sale and possession of certain other items that enhance the performance of semi-automatic weapons. You may also propose legislation that requires the registration of certain types of firearms or possibly all firearms. You will only have an effect on the law-abiding population. The criminal element will obey your new laws the same way they did the past gun control legislation.

Now let us address the above possibilities. You could, I suppose introduce legislation that prohibits the manufacture and sale of certain performance enhancement parts for firearms. But when it comes to possession of them you find yourselves in the same predicament you did about firearms and ammunition just don’t know how many there are and exactly who has possession of them. You once again find yourselves having to kick-in every front door in America, and again some people will not take to kindly to that. Now let us talk registration, just like when I addressed surrendering them some will comply most wont. You would have again made law-breakers out of those that are normally law-abiding. Then again you could/would be faced with the possibility that some States will not enforce your federal law. Again 1860/1861.

Now let us talk about the absurdity of the left. You seek to restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens when it comes to private ownership of firearms, but nothing you do effects in the least the criminal element. You do this in the name of ending gun violence, not in the name of crime control or prevention. There are facts that prove that more guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens equals less crime. More guns equals less crime, well that goes against your agenda. Doesn’t it? You do this in the noble cause of protecting the public, which sounds fine to some, they actually believe you care. But at the same time you block attempts to protect the most vulnerable, the unborn. When a State attempts to restrict abortion, you throw a tantrum saying that the rights of the woman are being trampled. You seek to place controls and restrictions on legal and lawful citizens and the private ownership of firearms, while at the same time you seek to remove controls and restrictions on abortions. A person is no less dead from a gunshot as an abortion. Murder is murder. You get campaign donations from both groups, anti-gun and pro-abortion. Freaking hypocrites. You protect the rights of the woman, you ignore and deny rights of the unborn. You manufacture/protect non-existent rights of illegal immigrants, while trampling the rights, very much existent rights, of the legal and lawful.

Now let me for just a minute go to some on the right, normally seen as pro-gun. One, a radio talk show host, said something has to be done. Here are the suggestions offered by that individual. Place metal detectors in the lobbies of all motels. TSA screeners in every motel. The host even went so far as to call the shooter a “cracker”. You have got to be kidding me. This character in the name of security is willing to give away liberty, he may well get his wish. He removed his mask. You get groped to fly, you may soon get groped to stay in a motel. There may come a time when you and I will have no liberties at all, everything would have been traded for a little security, and will have neither. He is not the only reacting from emotion instead of logic. If I may I would like to make one more point. The carnage in Las Vegas would have continued on until the shooter ran out of ammunition had not good guys with guns arrived.

We may find out because of this latest tragedy that there is only one political party in America. The radical left and their allies past and present have been long in the process of destroying what remains of this Republic. They have but one plan and that is to turn this Republic into some kind of Socialist/Communist Utopia. They are the new Jacobins, the ends justify the means. They have no concern as to the cost to reach their goal. One of them may/will become the new Robespierre.

I dont have the answer as to why the shooter did what he did. I dont even have an idea of what to do to prevent it from happening again, most likely there is nothing that can be done. But, I do know exactly what not to do. Placing restrictions on the law-abiding citizens is not the answer and will not prevent future occurrences of this type.

When a wolf comes to the door I would like to have some wolf repellant. Calling animal control will not keep a wolf from your door, by the time animal control arrives the wolf would have done what wolves do and most likely be long gone. Animal control will bring with him/her exactly what I should have had.

Fresh out of options

The same opening in the last post applies to this post. This is not an attempt by me to delve into the world of conspiracy theories, there are others who do that, I will leave that to them. This post like the last is intended to cause people to think. And as in the last post LLSP applies to the democrats and those hiding in the GOP.

The Electoral College vote yesterday made it official, Donald J. Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States on January 20th 2017 at noon. One would think that it is finally settled and finally over. The LLSP have failed in every attempt to prevent yesterday from happening. They failed in their attempt to defeat Mr. trump in the primaries. They failed again at the GOP convention. They failed to defeat Mr. Trump in the presidential election. They failed again with the ridiculous re-count efforts. And finally they failed at the Electoral College. Save for a few “turncoats” it worked just as the Founders and Framers intended.

One would think that the LLSP were fresh out of options. That may not be the case. This is not the time for us, the sensible, in America to think that this is over. We must stay on our guard. History is a great teacher, we only have to look back. There are many historical facts that illustrate the point I am trying to make.

For the purposes of this post I would like to use Western Europe during World War 2. Hitler, the Nazis and the German military had control of most if not all of Europe by the spring of 1944. Europe was an occupied land. The German High Command had always known that there would one day be an invasion of Europe in an attempt to liberate the conquered nations. This I feel was one of the compelling reasons Hitler wanted to conquer the British Isles. Think about this for a moment. If the British Isles had fallen to the Germans, they could not have been used as the “jumping off point” for the D-Day invasion. Where would a suitable “jumping off point” be other than the British Isles? The British Isles did not fall and became the “jumping off point” for D-Day. Divine intervention? Maybe.

Think of the U. S. as an occupied land for a moment. A land occupied not by a foreign military, but by the political ruling class(LLSP), their henchmen and handlers. They too, have always known that there was the possibility of a liberation of this land. An invasion of Patriots, so to speak.

With the failure of the German military to subdue the British Isles, the Germans began building “Fortress Europe”. The coast line of Western Europe was bristling with guns from Spain to Norway, guns to repel the invasion. The German High Command also was faced with the problem of trying to best guess where an invasion would occur, and place the reserve forces nearest that point. The points they chose was Calais and Cherbourg.

The LSSP, their henchmen and handlers need not plan to repel an invasion from the sea, the Patriots were and are already ashore. They did not have to build a “Fortress America” they only had to divide America and Her Citizens into segments. The LLSP have only basic tactics they employ, Division and Character Assassination. Once a population is divided it is easy to assassinate their character. The LSSP have been dividing the population for years. They divide the population based on skin color, sex, money or the lack of it, religion or the lack of it, ethnicity and so on. Then they pit one group against another or the others which ever works best for them. Then the name-calling begins racist, sexist, homophobe and so on. If anyone still stands his or her ground their character is assassinated with even more name-calling and even allegations of bad behavior, even is those allegations have no merit. They have divided America the same way they have divided the population. America is divided into colors Red, Blue and Purple. The states fight the other states and the federal government fights the states.

The Allied invasion of Europe occurred on June 6th 1944 at Normandy. The German High Command could not believe what they were seeing. They even went into denial. The invasion happening before their eyes was occurring at the wrong time and in the wrong place. Many thought that the invasion was only a trick(deception), not real, and the real invasion would occur where and when they thought it always would. It was the only way. They never saw it coming, even though it was right before their eyes.

The LLSP find themselves in the same predicament. As stated above, the LLSP and their henchmen and handlers have long suspected that the Patriots would rise up and take back this Republic. They had always believed that the Patriots would rise up with Arms in an attempt to throw-off the government, much the same as the Founders and Framers had done so long ago. They guessed wrong, the Patriots did rise up and begin the process of taking back the Republic, but it was done with the ballot box not with the cartridge box. They never saw it coming, we used what the Founders and Framers had left for us. They had been long trying to disarm the population, through laws, rules and regulations and yes even trickery. Falling short of their goal of disarming the population, they resorted to building “Fortress Government” to counter the Patriots. Let’s not forget the massive amount of weapons and ammunition the federal government had been acquiring and stockpiling. Bristling with guns. Does that sound familiar? Failing in one goal and then building a Fortress. A Fortress to stave off what you fear most. Now the LLSP their henchmen and handlers have another problem. The “Fortress Government” that they built is about to fall into the hands of those it was to be used against, if the need arose. Divine intervention? Maybe.

Let’s not forget what happens when you think you have won when the enemy is still quite capable of fighting. Not just fighting but launching an offensive. The Battle of the Bulge as it is known started in mid-December 1944 and lasted till mid-January 1945.

The election of Donald J. Trump as 45th President of the U.S. was just the first step, much like the landing at Normandy. There is still a long way to go to achieve final victory. The LLSP for now appears beaten, but we must be wary. There is still time for them to do what they do best, muck everything up. The next “hurdle” is January 20th, it is akin to breaking out of Normandy and going “inland”. From Neptune to Overlord.

What gets the blame the next time?

We have the Liberal Socialist Progressives pedaling yet another lie. Recently the Secretary of DHS gave an interview in which he stated “Gun control is Part and Parcel of Homeland Security for Public Safety”. That is one big lie, in fact the man is 180 degrees out of plumb. The Truth is that “Gun ownership and the Right of Self-Defense are Part and Parcel of Homeland Security and Public Safety”. But the lie will be repeated and accepted as truth. The victims in Orlando, San Bernardino, Ft. Hood, Chattanooga and others all had one thing in common, they were in areas where firearms were prohibited. In each instance the victims obeyed the law, the same can not be said of the Terrorists. Gun control in action.

While it is true that there is no proof that the victims could have defended themselves from the Terrorist if they were armed, there is a high probability that they could have lessened the death toll. There is also the very high probability that the Terrorist would have passed them by if he even suspected they might be armed. But we will never know if they could have or not. Why you ask? They were not given the chance to prove you right or me wrong. Why you ask? They followed the law, the one which you made that prevented them from defending themselves. They may well have failed but at least they could have tried, they never had a fighting chance. You took that from them. Now you push gun control for public safety, you have got to be kidding me. The victims were out in public at a public establishment and they were attacked. When the Terrorist attacked he used a gun or two and those that responded brought guns, many guns. Again the good guy with a gun stopped the bad guy with a gun. But they had to wait for you. The same action taken by law-enforcement could have been the same action someone in the club could have taken without the wait, if only they had the means.

As of yet America does not have exploding people, yet the government allows people into this country that are prone to explode. Nor does America have exploding cars, trucks, buses or motorcycles yet the government allows people into this country that are prone to own or operate wheeled vehicles that do Explode. Nor does America at this time have roads that explode yet the government allows people into this country that seem to enjoy exploding roads. It seems that it would just make common sense to keep people out of this country that explode, drive or ride in exploding vehicles or enjoy exploding roads. Our government does just the opposite allows them to come here and worse yet they encourage them to come here and even worse they bring them here.

When the time comes, and it will come, when people start exploding it will not be the clothing that exploded it will be the person wearing the clothes. The government will spend more time finding out who made the clothes, so they can blame the clothes and the ease in which that brand can be bought in America, rather than the exploding person. The same goes for cars, buses and trucks even the roads.

In case you missed it, there seems to be a practice in parts of the Middle-East where if a gay is found he is taken to the top of a building, dangled by his feet and then dropped to his death. In some cases they were just outright thrown off of the roof top. When this happens here in America, will you claim that the building was to tall or that the ground was too hard? When a woman gets stoned to death here in America, will you blame her for getting stoned or will you blame the rock for attacking her? What will you blame when mass beheadings occur in America? Will you blame the one being beheaded or will it be the knife? Not to mention the offenses committed against women and children, what will you blame in that instance? The list goes on and on.

You push gun control while you should push for terrorist control. Makes me wonder what it is you really want to control. The legal and lawful gun owners are under control most, definitely the vast majority, exercise self-control while others, a definite minority, are controlled by the laws. Those that exercise self-control will never be a problem, unless forced. Those that are controlled by the law will not be a problem as long as there are laws. What is out of control are the terrorists, they have no self-control and are not afraid of you or your laws much the same as the criminals. Seems to me you are taking out the frustrations of not controlling terrorists or criminals on the already law-abiding.

You push to limit and/or take away the only means that the legal and lawful citizens have to protect themselves. While you on the other hand have a small army at you disposal(a well armed small army)to keep you safe at all times. I have only me to protect and defend me and mine. By the time help arrives, it is most often to late. If you doubt that watch the news.

Seems kind of backwards to me that you provide better for them in their homelands than you will allow me to have in my homeland, and still you seek to further limit me. By the way, Which country is it that your are Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security for?

I have a much better idea for you to focus your time and energy on. Why don’t you go there(where ever they are from)and teach them how to make clothing that does not tend to explode. Help them build modes of transportation that are not prone to explode. Help them build roads that are not prone to explode. And don’t forget to teach them to build kitchen appliances that are not prone to explode.

uncle-sam-prayer-for-americaEnough already. The levels of incompetence and ignorance have reached a new all time height. I mean even modern jets have a maximum ceiling(altitude) and even a maximum airspeed where they can still function safely. Apparently there are no such restrictions on incompetence or ignorance, there are no limits on how high it can go or on how fast it can spew forth.

A prime example of this is the political reaction to the recent terrorist attack in Orlando. The political solution is apparently to further restrict the rights of law-abiding American citizens. Everybody at the club were law-abiding citizens, they were out for an evening of entertainment and merry-making. As I recall firearms are not allowed in the part of a club serving alcoholic beverages, so consequently the lawful were disarmed, obeying the law. The only one who broke the law was the terrorist who entered the club with firearms. And then he did what terrorists do, he starting killing unarmed citizens(civilians). He chose a “soft target” because he wanted to go about his terroristic intentions unimpeded by the possibility of encountering anyone inside the club that may have been armed. You will note that this like almost all large-scale terrorist attacks the intended victims would have no way to effectively defend themselves. The laws on the books worked just fine, problem is the terrorist had no intention of following the law. It will be the same the next time it happens, wherever it happens, the same as in California. The law-abiding citizens obeyed the law, the terrorists did not nor will they, ever.

Immediately the gun control crowd jumped up on their “soap-box” claiming that more gun control was needed to prevent such acts. They actually blamed the murder and mayhem on the gun. So they cries went out for somebody to do something, the gun violence must be stopped. I do need someone to explain to me how a gun, an inanimate object can become violent all by itself. It again just like every other crime or terrorist act took the intentional effort by a human being to carry out the act. It was not the gun that is or became violent enough to load magazines itself and pull back the charging handle and the aim itself at people and then commence firing and change magazines as the ammo became depleted. No all those actions required a human. I would even be bold enough to claim that if a rifle were to be loaded with a full magazine, the charging handle pulled back and released to send a live round of ammunition into the chamber and the safety not engaged(left on fire) and then placed in a corner the loaded rifle would stand right there until the end of time and never turn violent. The only thing left to do was to pull the trigger and it would go bang, it would wait right where it was left waiting for a human. Magazines can not load themselves, charging handles can not pull themselves to the rear and triggers can not depress them selves, all those steps require human action, willful and intention human actions.

What needs to happen is that the right to self-defense of the citizens of this country needs to be unimpeded. But the gun control crowd and the liberal socialists in government(democrat, republican and independent)will demand and do just the opposite. It is not the law-abiding citizens that are the problem in this country nor is it the availability of firearms. The problem is the criminal element and now terrorists in this country. We do not need gun control, what we do need is criminal control and terrorist control. Criminals can be controlled by the laws already on the books, but only if the laws are enforced. Terrorists can be controlled by not letting them in this country, in other words immigration and visa control. Failing to control immigration and visas into this country is akin to letting people into your house that should never have been allowed on your lawn, then acting surprised when they destroy or attempt to destroy you and yours.

One interesting tidbit was the congress critter from down Orlando way spewing this garbage, people should not be allowed weapons that fire seven hundred a minute. That idiot should do the math on his foolish statement. 700 rounds per minute would equate to 11.6 round per second, that is one fast semi-automatic rifle no to mention the quickness of changing magazines, and the weight of that much ammunition. Are the good people from his district really contemplating sending him back to congress? Lord help us. After hearing what that man had to say I had to consult Webster’s for a possible word and definition that would help describe the level of incompetence and ignorance of some of the distinguished members of government, I came up with the following;
Nit-wits, Half-wits, Dim-wit and Witless, they pretty much all mean the same thing. A stupid or foolish person. The I looked for words to describe the statements they make and possible laws they may attempt to introduce in the aftermath of the Orlando terrorist attack. I came up with the following; Half-baked, not completely thought out.

I would like to point this out in case any of the gun control crowd missed it. When the call for help went out it was answered by people with guns, a lot of people with a lot of guns. If you are so against guns why did you call for and expect people carrying guns to show up? If the terrorist wanted to cause such carnage and he did not have a gun or two he would have chosen a different method, the result would have been the same many innocent would have died. The same can not be said if someone, anyone or everyone in the club would have had a least the same capability as the terrorist. I thought you liberals were all about equality and creating a level playing field. You gave one an advantage over many others. Why do you promote policies that go against one of your stronger beliefs? All things being equal, I mean. Seems to me you actually promote inequality.

Then I have to say that the Dim-wits, Nit-wits and Half-wits can only be in government if people of the same caliber continually elect and re-elect them. The only way we have half-baked ideas for laws is that people elect people who hatch half-baked laws. You reap what you sow. You elect stupid you get stupid.

Then there is this, incompetence and ignorance runs rampant through society. Read on Free Republic today where the Southern Baptist Convention(SBC)has banned the display of the Confederate Flag in SBC churches. So let me address this real quick while on the subject of Dim-wits, Nit-wits, half-wits, Witless and Half baked. The Southern Baptist Church I attend does not display the Confederate Flag on the grounds or in the Sanctuary, there are however on display in the Sanctuary the Christian Flag and the U.S. Flags. Were you referring to the Stars and Bars(the Flag of The Confederacy, The Confederate States of America) or the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia? Just asking. Since when did political correctness enter the Sanctuary? If you are by decree banning the flag that may or may not be displayed in a Southern Baptist Church because someone may be offended, when will you deny Christianity because someone may be offended?

How on earth did America reach this low point?

Perhaps a better question would be, How low will America sink? I’m not even talking about the presidential primaries or the conventions, though that seems to be the subject of the times. what I am talking about is America in general and the American citizens in particular.

Is it the state(condition) of America dragging down the citizens or is it the state(condition) of the citizens dragging America down? The answer to this question is that one feeds off of the other in what appears to be a never-ending cycle.

The current state(condition)of America.
If America were a person in the Emergency Room what level of care would be needed? America is by no means in a condition of being placed on Life Support, but the Vital Signs are not good and treatment is required to prevent a further deterioration in Vital Signs. Much like a person America could only end up in the Emergency Room for Illness or Injury or both. Triage would reveal the reason and course of treatment. The triage would reveal that there is both an Illness and an Injury that has caused the continued decay and decline in America. But there is a Cure.

The decline of America and the American citizens began with the birth or more aptly the creation of Generation E. The American government created the E Generation, and the created Generation E has given birth to millions who are a part of Generation E. To answer the question, What is Generation E? Generation E is the Entitlement Generation, the Generation that believes that they are Entitled to anything and everything. Not only are the good and decent citizens forced to contend with and support the Entitlement Generation, we are forced to contend with Generation O and Generation D. In case you are wondering, Generation O is the Offended(by any and everything)Generation, and Generation D is the Dependent(on government for any and everything)Generation.

In the not to distant past there was one constant that kept America safe and strong and that was the citizens. When Japan attacked at Pearl Harbor it was done so to deal a death-blow to the U.S Military and especially the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. Japan did not attack or attempt an invasion on America for one simple reason, an outright invasion of America would have come at an extremely high price and the price was unaffordable to Japan. Had Japan mounted an outright invasion of America, Japan would have faced a heavily armed population. Not only were the citizens armed but they were a hardy and hardened lot. It was famously said by one Japanese “There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass”. The Japanese were ambitious not crazy. It is my opinion that no country on earth would attack America for the very same reason.

In 1941 there were many veterans of WW 1 still among the citizenry and still relatively young and able-bodied hardened by war and further hardened by the Great Depression. Many of the population still lived in rural areas on farms and ranches. They too were hardened by the Great Depression. The people in the rural areas had to make do with what they had and make the best of it. These people had skills, farming skills, raising their own food and hunting skills(actually going into the woods and mountains and taking game)to feed their families. If things were needed that they could not afford they made up for the lack of cash by trading and bartering. They made do without government handouts. They endured the hardships and pressed on. That was then.

This is now. Look around the general public today, you will see many(to many)that are lazy and fat. You see many that will not do for themselves, they expect and even demand that the government do and provide for them. These are the same ones that do nothing to better themselves. These are the ones that feel that they are entitled to something, everything and anything even though they have never earned it. They feel Entitled and are Offended if someone insist that they provide for themselves and have become Dependent on government. They have been Conditioned to believe that the government provides Free Services(Welfare), the government does provide Welfare, but it is not Free, for the government to Give to one it must first be Taken from another. Does anyone really believe that these people know what a true hardship is? They will stand in line for hours upon hours or even camp-out in front of a store just to be the first or among the first to buy the latest electronic gadget or game or to see a movie. But they will not stand in line to do their civic duty and vote. If they do vote and have to wait in line they claim that is not fair or places an undue hardship on them and demand that the government do something. They readily show photo ID to by beer and liquor but cry foul if they must show ID to vote. The only hardship these people know is if they can not acquire the latest electronic gadget or if there reality show gets cancelled. This is the Illness.

The preceding paragraph was not written for every citizen, if it does not apply to you then you will recognize that fact. At the same time those that it does apply to will not recognize that it was written for and about them. Would anybody really expect these people to come to the defense of this country? Would they be willing to lay down their gadgets and pick up a rifle and get behind a blade of grass? I submit that they would not. They would rather submit to an enemy than Offend the same enemy.

Sadly there are not any veterans of WW1 among us now they have all since passed. However, we are fortunate to still have among us some veterans of WW 2, Korea and Viet Nam these too are hardy and hardened men and women. But sadly they are growing old and they too will pass from us in the not to distant future. Additionally we still have among us the veterans of Desert Storm, of which I am one and we too are aging and undoubtedly will also pass from existence. As will the ones who follow.

One undeniable fact is that the Entitled, Offended and Dependent Generations exist in every generation from the Depression era to the present.

Governments role in the decline of America. Where should I start?
Should I start with Tariffs? Tariffs are no more than a tax. A tax placed on goods imported that is paid wholly by the consumer. The tax is not paid by the overseas manufacturer. The tax is not paid by the exporting country. The tax is paid by the consumer in the importing nation to the government of the importing country.
Should I start with Subsidies? Subsidies are no more than corporate welfare. They are used to prop up businesses or industries that the government says provides a benefit. The only one that benefits is the business or industry. Subsidies are paid for with tax dollars. The consumer pays the subsidy(if they pay taxes)and still pays for the product. Buying one thing twice.
Should I start with the other subsidy, Welfare? Yes welfare is a subsidy. The tax payers are forced to subsidize the lifestyles of others that will not or choose not to finance their lifestyles for themselves. There are many welfare cases that are generational. A reward for bad behavior and bad decisions.
Should I start with Income Taxes? Income taxes are at this point a penalty for producing. Welfare is a reward for not producing.
Should I start with the National Debt? Nearing 20 trillion dollars in debt, money spent buying votes and friends. Please explain to me how everything that was taken in was spent or wasted and why you had to borrow an additional 20 trillion dollars to continue spending or wasting.
The list goes on and on. This is the Injury.

Taxes at the outset were intended for the Welfare(Well-Being)of the Nation. They were intended to fund the needful functions of Government, they were not intended to subsidize the less fortunate and especially not the lazy and slothful. There was warning from long-ago that went something like this; The Republic is in danger of failure when the populace discovers they can and then begin voting themselves money from the national treasury. They discovered it, they do it and the Republic is in great peril.

If you need proof that America is in decline you need to look no further that this. Some men that claim to feel like a woman demand to use facilities for women. The state says no, men use men’s rooms and women use women’s rooms. Then some federal government knucklehead says that might be discrimination based on sex. Some men feel Entitled to use women’s rooms based on how they feel and are Offended that they can’t and are Dependent on government to force the women to comply and allow men in the women’s rooms. College students that seek counseling because they were traumatized by someone writing in chalk “Trump” on a sidewalk.

There is another aspect to “Making America Great Again”, other than bringing back jobs and money from overseas, though that would be nice. What is needed to make America great again is for the American citizens to make themselves great again. The citizens need a revival of the American Spirit. American citizens need to become hardy and hardened. American citizens need to return to the practice of Self-Reliance and become Self-Dependent. Rely and Depend on ones own self. Stop being lazy and slothful. Learn to live with-in one’s own means. Learn to make do. Become the one behind the blade of grass. This is the cure so to speak.

America is great, always has been, always will be. The government and some of the citizens are dragging her down. Every time I hear a political clown claiming that he or she will shrink the “size and scope” of government I just bust out laughing. No politician has any intention of shrinking the federal government, I especially get a kick out of one claiming to abolish the IRS. Just how does one abolish a federal government agency? No politician will shrink the federal government in size or scope. If the federal government were to be shrunk, that would in theory return power to either the state or to the people. Do you really think the federal government would empower the states much less the people? Government at all levels is about power and control. What we the people should be concerned with is, when will the government gain absolute power and total control? If and when government gains absolute power and total control over the people it will be because the citizens allowed it to happen.

All of the Kings, Tyrants and Dictators of the world have always feared one thing and one thing only, and that is a nation of Free People. America was founded as a Free Nation(at that time Free and Independent States)inhabited by a Free People Governed by Consent. It is my opinion, If the nation continues down the current path the nation will no longer be a Free Nation inhabited by a Free People governed by Consent, it will become a Nation Ruled by Force with no free inhabitants.

So I now ask what is it that keeps our enemies from our shores? I can assure you that it is not the Entitled, Offended or Dependent Generations. The answer simply put is that there are still enough Hardy and Hardened Americans to make the cost to high to bear. The downside to this is that time and laziness has taken a terrible toll on the Hardy and Hardened.

To answer the Question, How low will America sink? To the very bottom if the people do not wake up and start acting like the Americans and if the government does not start governing as the Founding Fathers envisioned. Both must happen. So which are you ? Part of the Illness? Part of the Injury? Are you willing to be part of the Cure.

Forward to the Past

Freedom and Liberty are but one generation away from being extinguished is certainly a true statement, sort of. The further this nation gets from the days of its founding the less some of the population, and the numbers keep growing, understand the reasons why America why America wanted to be and became a free nation. The reasons the Colonials wanted to be free were basically pretty simple. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, yep just that simple. The Colonials had suffered(lived)under the rule of tyrants and despots as long as that life was sufferable. When the insults, usurpations, despotism and tyranny reached a point where they were no longer sufferable those brave men and women rose up against tyranny and threw off that form of government and instituted a new form of government. The intended form of government was one in which governed by consent of the governed, it was not one in which they would be ruled. When one is ruled there is no need for consent. If the colonials had only sought to continue to live under tyrannical and despotic rule the would have been no need for the American Revolutionary War. No, they did not intend to replace tyranny with tyranny, they instead sought to live a life with individual freedoms and liberties, willing to live and be governed, but not willing to live under rule by force.

It is not just this or the next generation that places this Republic in danger, sadly previous generations play a major part in placing this Republic in great peril. Many in America, people of all ages and dispositions have become completely dependent on government. These are the people who only slightly mumble in complaint against government overreach. They expect that the government provide for their lives from cradle to grave. What they do not grasp is the fact that if the government gives the government can take away. They also do not grasp the fact that for the government to “give” them something it must first be “taken” from another.

Another true statement is, Freedom and Liberty are but one election away from being extinguished. It is saddening and somewhat frightful that the voters of America are even considering voting for some of the candidates who are seeking the office of the President of the United States of America.
Lets face it when a self-proclaimed Socialist is running in the primaries and doing very well there is something wrong. The talking heads and pundits on TV, radio and print seem to think that this is because the voters only support a socialist because they do not understand what socialism is or just do not care. While I do believe that they do not care they do know what socialism is. Basically it boils down to this, whether it is socialism, communism or fascism the government takes care of everything and that is what they want. The supporters of socialism want the government to take care of everything and thus they are free from personal responsibility. The residents of nations under socialist, communist or fascist rule live a life where the government provides for their lives from cradle to grave.

There is an old saying from the past that sums it up best, and it goes something like this; The Republic is finished when the voters realize that they can vote themselves money from the national treasury. So with that, I ask you this, which is the lowest of the low, the one that would vote him or herself money from the treasury for personal gain or the one that would provide an avenue for a person to vote themselves money from the treasury? There would be no mechanism for a person to vote for themselves money from the treasury unless a corrupt politician provided that avenue. That shows that the politician is the lowest of the low, but the person that votes money from the treasury for his or her own gain is pretty damned low, also.
It seems that some of the voters of today, of varying ages and dispositions have given up on the ideas of self-determination and self-reliance and seem content to be cared for by government. It is quite possible that this election could be the one that ends the Republic as we know it. It also seems that some voters are voting to move forward into the past taking what was left to us and giving it back to tyranny and despotism.

It does not matter if the Tyrant is a Republican, a Democrat or an Independent a tyrant is a tyrant. If the democratic party is willing to accept a Socialist who carries the letter (I) behind his name, to run on the democratic ticket the Democratic Party has become the Democratic Socialist Party. The GOP is not much better than the Socialist Democrats, at least not in the aspect of pushing forward with the “big government” agenda. I get tired of hearing Republicans calling themselves Conservatives. I also get so tired of hearing the Republican Party being the “party of Lincoln and of Reagan”. Lincoln was a big government republican, he came from the Whig party. Do not confuse the Whig Party with the Whigs of the Colonial and Revolutionary War times. Maybe the GOP really are “big government” Republicans and not Conservatives. They would stop being RINO(republican in name only) and become known as CINO(conservatives in name only). Government is about power and growing government and acquiring even more power.

Yet another true statement is, Freedom and Liberty could be extinguished by one more stupid vote or action by the congress critters, the courts and/or the current administration. This is perhaps the most damning of all, the Legislative branch is supposed to write legislation and send it to the President for signature of approval or veto. Congress does not read the legislation they pass, remember these words “You have to pass it to find out what is in it”. The president is not supposed to legislate by executive order. The courts are supposed to interpret law not make law, abortion and same-sex marriage come to mind. If a law is unconstitutional then by all means strike it down, do not strike it down and then just up and make law. The idea was to have three separate branches of government, each with its own specific role in government, a system of checks and balances.

Some of the candidates on the GOP side are saying what needs to be said, while others are saying what we want to hear. As for abolishing the IRS, just how is that possible? What about the 16th Amendment? Do you just plan to abolish the 16th Amendment by executive order? As for simplifying the tax code that takes legislation. Does anybody really believe that the government will in any shape, manner or fashion give up that power? We on the right, the Conservatives, the true Conservatives have been promised so much by Republican Party politicians only to be disappointed, sold down the river so to speak. Promises made but never kept and in some cases no attempt was even or ever made to act in a manner to fulfill the promises.

On the Democratic Socialist side all of the candidates are promising to give away “free” stuff. As pointed out above the only way for the government to give away anything it must first be taken away from another. Ask one of the Democratic Socialists, what happens when all of the wealth has been redistributed and everybody is equally poor what happens next? As for taxes how much is a fair share? To tax the wealthy at a level you say is their fair share you have to modify the tax code. That takes legislation, are you planning to tax by executive order? How many poor people have ever given another a job.

This election is about more than electing a President and some Senators there is the possibility that three or four Supreme Court Justices will be replaced. Think about that, it is especially important since the Supreme Court has taken up deciding rights and making law. The President will nominate Justices and the Senate will hold confirmation hearings. Do you really want a Democratic Socialist naming a person to a lifetime appointment?

Fail to learn the lessons of history and history repeats itself. Do not vote America back in time, politically. I was not there, but I read somewhere that the times before 1775 really sucked.

What would be the Price, Cost, Value and Worth?

The question in the title of this post is in reference to the God-given and Constitutional rights each American is free to enjoy and exercise or not as they see fit. Another series of questions that goes along with this post is the following; Could a person be convinced to sell their God-given and Constitutional rights? Could a person be convinced to trade or exchange their God-given and Constitutional rights?

There has been much of late on the internet about a possible gun grab by the federal government. It is my, as well as others, belief that a gun-grab by the federal government would have dire consequences. Of all I have read regarding the gun-grab and the plans to do so whether by executive order or by legislative means I have neither seen or heard about the following possibility.

Could it be possible to tie the free exercise of the Second Amendment to money, money from the federal government. No, I am not talking about a gun buy back plan or program. What I am talking about is tying gun ownership to receiving government monies. Think about this for a moment. How many households across America receive checks, federal government checks, every month retirement pensions, social security, disability checks or welfare, food stamps, wic and the rest of the long list of what are now called “government entitlements”.

I do not think that the federal government would or could implement and carry out a gun grab. But the federal government could tie gun ownership to government payments. The federal government would not be necessarily infringing on the right to keep and bear arms per se. Gun ownership or the lack of gun ownership could just be a pre-condition to receiving federal checks or federal benefits. It could be as simple as if a person was not willing to give up the right to keep and bear arms he or she would be ineligible for government money of any type. If a person wanted to continue receiving federal government he or she would only need to “voluntarily” give-up the right to keep and bear arms. In this instance the federal government did not deny the person their right to keep and bear arms, the right was exchanged for money, sold so to speak.

Think about this for a moment, the “experts” estimate that 47% of the households in America are on at least one form of government assistance. Could these households go a month without the checks that they rely upon for their very existence? Probably not. Add to this the numbers of retirees from the military and the federal government, they also receive pension checks from guess who? Don’t forget about the number of persons on social security old age or disability, that check also comes from guess who? Also don’t forget about the number of persons getting VA benefits, again a government check. Most of America could and would be disarmed with this simple maneuver, tying gun ownership to money. The government would not be grabbing your gun you would be giving it up freely.

Voluntarily disarming could also be a pre-condition to being hired by the federal government. Simple you want a government job, disarm. Gun=No government job. The only gun you could carry would be a government issued gun and then only if the position required it, and only as long as the tour of duty.

This would be only the beginning, not only would you “voluntarily” give up your right to keep and bear arms, you would also most likely be placed on a prohibited person list. You would be prohibited from purchasing a firearm the same as a common criminal, though you committed no crime. You could not buy guns or ammunition. There would most likely be a form that you would be required to sign explaining all of this to you.

Hold on it gets worse. Now that the right to keep and bear arms has been freely exchanged for a continuation of government checks, and the person placed on the prohibited persons list, there now must be a system to ensure compliance. To ensure the person is in full compliance with the “exchange program” there must be a system of checks and balances, so to speak. The government would be authorized to conduct unannounced and warrantless searches for guns and ammunition. The way the system is now if a search warrant is issued for a 65 inch flat screen TV, no area can be legally searched where a 65 inch flat screen TV could not be hidden. There would be no excluded areas for search if they were searching for a single bullet.

If one is found with a prohibited item I am sure there would be confiscation, fines and a loss of benefits along with a lengthy prison term. No telling what could or would be found looking for a single bullet. So in fact you sold your Second Amendment right, and lost your Fourth Amendment protection. They get a two for one deal. The question is this; How much will you sell your rights for, and what others would you lose?

Oh, and keep this in mind, even a draconian measure like this would not effect a single criminal.
