Is it Time?

Is it time for a new breed of public servant? Yes it is. What America is in need of is elected leaders who understand that they hold Constitutional offices and not political offices, at all levels. America needs elected leaders that will operate within the limits and confines of the Constitution and perform the duties of the branch they serve in as stated in the Constitution.

Is it time for a new political party? One that honestly represents conservatism? The GOP says no, absolutely not. The Dem’s do not care if one springs up and puts forth a serious challenge. Why is it that the Dem’s do not care and the GOP starts foaming at the mouth when the three party system idea surfaces? If there was a third national political party the Dem’s would see little migration to the new party. The GOP on the other hand would see mass migration to the new party. But, why is that? The biggest reason is principles. Principles that are run on and the same principles are demonstrated in the execution of the office. The Democrats are Progressive Liberals and they run on progressive principles as progressive liberals and they act as progressive liberals when elected. The Republicans are conservatives and run on conservative principles, but sadly many do not demonstrate conservative principles in the execution of their office when elected, they act as progressives. The Conservative voters will vote for a conservative, even if it means voting for a third-party. Liberal progressive voters will vote for a liberal progressive, and that means a democrat. The GOP loses. Why? The candidate representing the GOP is not a conservative. The GOP has lost its way, both parties have lost their way, but it only costs the GOP.

There is one glaring thing that I have noticed about all of the scandals caused by and surrounding BHO and his administration and it speaks volumes about America. There are no more Americans demanding answers and accountability than there were at the beginning of the scandals, none. This alone makes no sense. The sheer numbers of scandals and failures should swell the numbers demanding answers and accountability, sadly this has not happened. Worse, I fear the numbers will not swell, no more will demand answers and accountability tomorrow than today. On the other hand the numbers of those who either will not or refuse to demand answers or hold anyone accountable will swell. This is best demonstrated by two groups of people. The first group is the young adults. Most do not even know where Benghazi is on a map, never heard of the BLM standoff at Bunkerville. The list goes on and on, most are not even aware of current events and have little recollection of yesterday much less yesteryear. The problem with the young adults is that they are a “me” generation, if it does not affect me it is not my problem. The second group is the “New Americans” the ones who will be granted “executive amnesty” and the ones arriving here from the Middle East as refugees. The “new Americans” called dreamers broke the law by coming here illegally and will be allowed to remain here, illegally. The refugees will most certainly be granted privileges they do not deserve. The second group illegals and refugees will most definitely not demand answers or accountability. They most certainly will join with the progressives, by doing so they will be rewarded.
True enough the scandals are far removed from the lives of everyday America and have little effect on the individual, that is until it finally does effect you. But they do effect you whether you see it or not.

Progressives, at least to me, seem to be confused about Rights and Choices. Progressives are a complete contradiction. Progressives espouse that we as Americans must be tolerant of others, at times to the point of denying our identity. Yet progressives are the most intolerant of all, to the point of attaching labels to anyone with a different view. Progressives claim to be pro-choice yet, progressives attempt to limit or eliminate choice, and do in fact deny rights and choice to others. Progressives even believe it is their right to limit or eliminate rights and choices. This may come from the progressives tendency to voluntarily give their rights even if it means giving up free choice, sacrificing Liberty for Security. No only are they happy do this they actually expect, no demand, that all Americans do the same. Progressives believe that all rights are bestowed upon them by government, if that were true government could deny rights on a whim.
Progressives have a “herd mentality”, simply following the leader no matter where they are led, even if it means going over a cliff. Free thinking is not part of their “scheme”, they just plod along, all on the same path to the same destination. Adopted for no other purpose than garnering votes. Progressives give no thought to what dangers await them on the path much less what lies at the end. Progressives live and exist on the principle of hope. Progressives hope that the utopia they so desperately seek is at the end of the path. Progressives hope that total destruction is not what waits for them at the end of their path. Masses moving together just like the Lemmings during mass migration with no idea what lies ahead and with little care, just playing follow the leader. Hoping for the best.
Progressives have no hard and fast set of principles, they are constantly evolving, constantly broadening. I find it hard to believe that anyone that has no hard and fast set of principles could ever be trusted. I find it especially hard to believe that this type of person could be elected or appointed to any position in government. The un-trustworthy being trusted to govern.
Groups that feel that they are discriminated against or have been disenfranchised only have to keep voting for progressives, because it has been proven time and time again a progressive will evolve and perhaps adopt that group into its fold.
You will notice in the above paragraph the only term used was Progressive, this was intentional. The why is simple, there are many progressives that call themselves republicans. Actually progressive is liberal and liberal is associated with the left, meaning democrats. If you wish to attach labels, start with yourself and label yourself correctly. Identity politics. Pandering politicians.

This part of this post is not to start an argument over which is or was better the Articles of Confederation or the U.S. Constitution, if it does so be it, though I do like the phrase Free and Independent States mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. The Articles of Confederation was replaced by the Constitution. The Declaration of Independence is where the phrase Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are found, not in the Constitution.
The U.S. Constitution is so short as in the numbers of pages for a reason. The Constitution spells out the duties of the three branches of government and is a limit on government power. The Constitution was not designed to limit the power of the people, as a matter of fact it starts with these words “We the People”. The Constitution even guarantees a republican form of government. It even guarantees the powers not granted to the government or prohibited to the states would remain with the states and the people respectively.
Our rights do not come from government, they instead come from the Creator of the universe. The U.S. Constitution with the Bill of Rights goes hand in hand with the Declaration of Independence. The Articles of Confederation and the Declaration of Arms should also be considered as a part of the founding documents. Yes even the Federalist Papers. Several key words and phrases from the Declaration of Independence. The first is Self-Evident meaning without need of proof or explanation. The second is Unalienable Rights, Un means Not, Alienable means Capable of being alienated or transferred to a new owner, meaning they “Your Rights” can not be transferred to a new owner. Certain when used in the context of the structured sentence in the Declaration of Independence does not limit the Rights to a list it means Fixed or Indisputable.
The Declaration of Independence is about the people not the government, it expressly states the conditions that the people would not and could not live or exist under. The Constitution is an agreement by the people concerning the type government under which they were willing to be governed.

The Constitution, the first three articles deal with the three branches, independent branches, of government. No where in the Constitution does it allow for a fourth branch of government. Each of the three has specific duties and responsibilities. Each was designed to keep the others in check, under control.
The one that I wish to discuss is the first listed, and it is listed first for a reason. The first is the most important. The Legislative Branch is responsible to introduce or propose legislation that is wholesome and good. The Constitution states that ALL legislation begins with the legislative branch. No other branch was granted legislative powers.
Yet, we in America find ourselves ruled and governed by the fourth branch of government which was not addressed in the Constitution, government agencies. The government agencies have no legislative authority. The government agencies rule over us, not govern us, by rules and decrees. The government agencies are headed by hacks who see he agenda of the president and the political party as their marching orders. As mentioned in a previous post, these vile government bureaucrats are the worst as they switch sides with each successive administration.
The legislative branch has abdicated their duties and responsibilities to the Executive branch and the government agencies and their bureaucratic heads.
There is even perhaps a fifth branch of government. That would be the special interest groups, along with lobbyists and political donors. All three branches, no all four branches, of government seem to pander to the fifth branch with special appointments and privileges. This issue was directly addressed in the Declaration of Independence.

Back to the question of is it time for a third national political party. The answer is both yes and no. The reason America is in such a mess now is that there was at one time a third political party. Ironically it was started by a liberal progressive masquerading as a republican. None other than Theodore Roosevelt, with his “bull moose party”. Though it only lasted a short time the damage was done. The bull moose party succeeded in dividing the republicans. The republicans never reunited.
No, we do not need a third political party. It will only divide the republicans, when I say republicans I mean conservatives, further. As a matter of fact America does not need either of the other political parties, rather than representing the agenda of the political party the ones elected to govern should be representing the values and principles of either a republican or a democrat. That would be difficult for a democrat or a republican who is also a progressive, as progressives have no firm or fixed set of principles and thus is not likely to have any values.

The people elect men and women to Constitutional office to govern the country. Notice the usage of the word govern, I did not say rule. I also did not say fly around the country giving political speeches. If you are flying around the country you are campaigning not doing the job you were entrusted with. Do what you were entrusted to do. You were not elected to campaign, do that on your time and dime not the country’s time or dime.

The results of the election of last November were no accident. The republicans were swept into office for no other reason than the conservatives came out to vote. Why? They turned out in force because the republicans, some of them anyway, started sounding like conservatives and would at last represent conservative values and principles. Again sadly, time has proven that most not all have proven themselves to be progressives and some of those have proven themselves to be progressive liberals masquerading as conservatives. This will be remembered and many conservatives will stay home next election.
As for me, I will not stay home on election day and never will as long as I can move and get around. What I will do is look at the ballot and vote for the one who represents conservative values and principles. If none are listed and there is a space for a write-in I will use that space to cast a vote for one who represents conservative value and principles. If there is not one it gets skipped and move to the next section, no voting for the lesser of the evils, evil is evil. There are those who will say, not voting for a republican is the same as voting for a democrat. To those I say a better candidate should have been put forth. After all the only difference between a progressive republican and a progressive democrat is the R or D behind the name. Neither can be trusted.

As for the current field of GOP hopefuls, give me a break. Some are so progressive they could switch political parties and no one would even notice. Others will get through the political party, they would be too hard to control. For those is it the candidate or the political party? Guess. The progressives should label themselves as such and be honest for a change.

The more things change the more things actually remain the same

Here is some “food for thought”. Government is all about power and control with an interest in its continued existence and growth. Did the “political landscape” in Washington, D.C. really change all that much after the elections of this past November? A few new “congress critters” moved into the capital building and a few political appointees departed the administration. There was no line of moving company trucks lining the highways out of D.C. With few exceptions none of the defeated and vanquished left D.C. Lobbyist Boulevard provided a large part of new staffers and the majority of the former staffers took up residence on Lobbyist Boulevard, exchanging offices and waiting for the next election. Even the politicians engage in this activity, changing offices but remaining in town. This happens with each election, staying on scene to continue pushing an agenda, shameful and unethical activity but not necessarily criminal. Maybe this would be an idea for a new law, lose an election pack up and leave, go back and live with the constituents you ignored or screwed over for so long. Wave good-bye to the money and power. Would there be any congress critter be brave enough to introduce such legislation? Would be one brave enough to co-sponsor such legislation? Would such legislation ever come to vote on the floor of either legislative body? Would any president be brave enough to sign the legislation into law if it were to appear on his or her desk? The answer would be NO in each case. Government has no plans to do to themselves what the seem to do with what their impedes their agenda, comprehensive reform.

Making small effective changes is not the policy of government. The policy of government is to institute large ineffective changes, without regard to cause of harm. Pushing the agenda and fulfilling political party objectives.

This post is not about the politicians and their staffers, it is about those that remain forever in government, Bureaucrats. These are the people in the various governmental agencies, the alphabet agencies, BLM, IRS, BATFE, DOE, EPA and all the others. These same individuals remain in government employment regardless of performance. They are not elected they are appointed or hired and have no legislative authority yet they enact rules and regulations that the population of the country must live and exist under. Like the politicians the agencies always leave themselves an “out”.

Think about this, the same IRS that targeted opposition party groups will still exist under the next administration and the political party agenda. The same ATF that seeks to ban one kind of rifle ammunition will still exist no matter who is president. The same EPA that seeks to ban lead bullets based on being a toxic substance will still exist. The agencies will still exist with the same bureaucrats occupying the office space. There will be some department head changes and the secretaries of each department will be changed, but the bureaucrats will remain.

What bothers me most about bureaucrats, not all but the vast majority, is the apparent lack of personal traits and core values, morals, honor and ethics. There was a time when government employees were called civil servants or public servants and that was how the job was viewed. It should be an honor to serve the public, but the public must be served honorably. The bureaucrats of today and even yesterday at the very least are self-serving or at the very worst are serving your master, and your master is government and the political agenda of whoever is at the helm. You no longer serve the public or public trust. You do what is necessary to save your job and rely on government employee unions to prevent firing for inefficiency or breaking the public trust. You will not quit in protest of destructive polices, you just go with the flow. The rules you place on us are the agenda of the current political party in power.

This part is for the ones who finally leave and then write your memoirs. I would not read your book for the following reason. You did not speak up or out while you held your government job. You waited until you separated yourself from the administration to say anything. You did nothing to jeopardize your precious job and would not offend the master.

A government out of control

There are many who say that America has lost her way, gone off track. There are also many who say that America is heading towards economic failure and societal breakdown. I say there is nothing wrong with America, she has not lost her way, instead she is being dragged off-track. Economic failure and societal breakdown are both real possibilities, and the order of occurrence is not important one will lead to the other.
If the current pace continues America will reach a tipping point, a point of no return. America at present has an administration that is hell-bent on continuing with the failed policies of LBJ. The “great society” which started in the 1960’s has done more to destroy society than it could ever have helped. The liberal progressives will not admit that the great society was and is a total and abject failure, rather they claim that more should have and could have been done. There is at present more people on government assistance than at any time in American history. The policy of government is to throw more and more money at a problem, when it should be to sit back and find the cause. Eliminate the cause and you eliminate the problem. Government instead wants to eliminate the problem leaving the cause in place. Leaving the cause in place will only insure the problem will resurface. This may well be the intent, a never-ending problem allowing government to come to the rescue again and again. This leads to government dependence, which is the intent of liberal progressives. Here is an example of fixing the problem but leaving the cause in place. A car has a flat tire because a nail is in the tire. Adding air cures the flat tire for a while, but it will slowly lose air and soon will be flat once again. True you solved the flat tire problem for a while and you can continue adding air at intervals to prevent it from continually going flat. Had you removed the nail and patched the tire you could move onto other things rather than dedicating so much energy and time to repeating one thing. The nail caused the tire to go flat not the lack of air. Eliminate the cause the problem is solved.
Now we have the “great society” part 2 or whatever number it is, two free years at a community college and the newest catch phrase “middle class economics”. No one much mentions the “war on poverty” any more. I would like to point out that nothing is free not even freedom, someone somewhere paid for it. America is the home of the free because of the brave. The “free” two years must be paid by someone somewhere.
Middle class economics is just the latest game of smoke and mirrors. It may look like a break for the middle class but it is intended to break the middle class. Hide and watch on this one, you will see.

At last check America is some 18 trillion dollars in debt. Not to mention there is a deficit. There are even rumors of unfunded liabilities. Debt is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as you can pay off your debt. Deficits on the other hand are a bad thing, you do not have enough money on hand to pay the bills. You may have enough to pay the interest but the principal never goes down and you spend a lifetime in debt. A shrinking deficit is still a deficit and is not a good thing, no matter how it is candy coated, short of funds is short of funds even if you are one cent short you are still short and you over-spent. Deficits are always bad. Borrowing more money to cover the deficit is about as stupid as it gets. If you do not have it now you will not have it later plus you now have to pay back what you were short. The problem with robbing Peter to pay Paul is that sooner or later Peter is going to want his money back.
The unfunded liabilities are down the road a piece but they will show up sooner than expected. It is on a collision course with the debt can.

I am no financial genius by any stretch of the imagination, but I do understand how money works. More than that, being somewhat mechanically inclined I understand how things work. I am also smart enough to know that if I am barely making ends meet I must make adjustments in spending. I also know that if I am not financially secure I can not help my neighbor if he or she experiences hard times. In other words I must help myself first before I can help others.
Which brings me to this point, if America is facing a deficit, meaning that there is not enough money to pay the bills, why the hell are billions of dollars being given, yes given to foreign countries. Some of the countries and governments receiving money from America could care less if America were to dry up and blow away. Are they being given money to keep them from attacking America or her interests. A form of appeasement, peace in exchange for money. They will not attack as long as they receive money. In other words they would not bite the hand that feeds them, sort of like a dog. What happens when the money runs out and it will eventually. A hungry dog will bite the hell out of anyone even its owner. Surely America is not paying a “tribute” to prevent attacks. It has been done before. It took military action to bring that to a halt, the money did not run out, they demanded more, and enough was enough. Check the words to the Marine Corps Hymn.
Could this also be the reason that BHO avoids the use of radical Islam, or is it something deeper. al-Qaeda are no longer called terrorists, they are now armed insurgents. Was Benghazi another appeasement? Just another stop on the apology tour.
Foreign governments and countries are not only being given billions of dollars they are being given arms, ammunition, equipment and training while limits are being placed on American citizens as to what weapons they can possess and limits on magazine size. Are we being set up for a take over.

The American government has become a government of political correctness, not using word or language which could offend political sensibilities. But what would one expect from a Politician, a person engaged in party politics as a profession, a person primarily interested in political office for selfish or other usually short-sighted reasons.

What is wrong in America?

Just take a look around and you can see the evidence of the deterioration of the American “fabric”, all brought to you in the name of and made possible by “political correctness”, divisiveness and in some cases downright laziness.

Doing or acting in the name of political correctness is not now or was it the intention in the founding of America, doing and acting correctly was. Doing the right thing is harder than doing the wrong or incorrect thing, and political correctness is the wrong thing. Political correctness are just as evil as the practice of appeasement, in fact they are one and the same. To be politically correct means to sacrifice correctness, morals. Ignoring or denying ones principles to gain political favor. This is what liberals call an “evolution of opinion”. What it should be called is sitting on the fence to see which the wind blows, being all things to all people. Politicians use political correctness to gain votes and remain in power. Citizens use political correctness to avoid be labeled with a words ending in “ist” or “ism”.
Political correctness by definition, Is conforming to the belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities should be eliminated. In other words, Political correctness is bringing about the death of freedom of speech. The intention of the first amendment protecting free speech was not to protect safe speech but was intended to protect controversial speech. Making threats is not free speech, nor is inflammatory speech especially if it incites violence. Name-calling and race-baiting are not free speech either, they are tactics used by liberals when they can not possibly win their argument any other way, though they lose anyway, exposing them for what they are. There is an old saying, the bit dog hollers first.
Appeasement by definition, To buy off by concessions usually at the sacrifice of principles. (Pacify, Conciliate). Notice the word buy, when something can be bought, the same is for sale. That which is not for sale can not be bought.
If a person is willing to sacrifice their own principles to gain favor or to appease another, what else or who else will they sacrifice?

The American citizenry has allowed themselves to be divided along Racial, Political, Social, Economic and a myriad of other lines and in some cases have divided themselves. Some in American society have come to view themselves as victims. News for those, you can only be a victim if someone has committed a crime against you. If you are poor you are not a victim, and being wealthy does not make one a villain.

One of the bigger examples, but not the biggest examples, of what is wrong in America is laziness of some of the citizenry. The laziness in America stems from the education, no the indoctrination that government can solve each and every problem or difficulty encountered and has fostered a culture of government dependence. Self-determination and self-reliance have become a thing of the past and the indoctrination of government dependence continues. Hand-outs have become common place and welcome and a hand-up is rare and rejected.

The biggest example of what is wrong in America is that “voids” are created. Whenever something is removed it is generally replaced with something else, filling a void.
When God and Prayer were removed from Schools a void was created the void was quickly filled with “godlessness”. Look at the results of that liberal achievement in an attempt to appease the atheists. The atheists were not required to participate in prayer, they could choose to be excluded. The atheists have no God to pray to. The atheists could have continued excluding themselves from that morning activity in the home-room class, but that was not good enough. The atheists were appeased and God was kicked out of school. This was not the beginning of America’s downfall but I would argue that it sped up the process. Since that time God and the symbols of Christianity have slowly been disappearing from all aspects of daily life, especially near government buildings and property. Next came the end of the recital of the Pledge of Allegiance another move to appease a small group. Today voids continue to be created and they must be filled with something.

When God was kicked out of school that was not the end of the demands for appeasement, it was only the beginning. The proverbial camel had gotten his nose in the tent.

Once again the proverbial camel has stuck his nose in the tent, once the nose gets in the rest of the camel follows. In other words if you give an inch they will take a yard, or even a mile.
Soon the Supreme Court will weigh in on Marriage, same-sex marriage. Marriage is not a Constitutional issue and is not addressed once in the Constitution. But a panel of 9 will decide for a population of over 300,00,000. A marriage license is from the state not the Federals. Tax breaks come from the Federals. Is that what this is about Taxes?
I am not here to judge homosexual activity, that is not my place or my intent. This is just one of the latest tents where the camel has gotten his nose in.
America has arrived at this point which concludes a journey(or does it?) that began innocently enough. It began when an issue of next-of-kin arose. The simplest solution to appease this issue was to have domestic-partnerships, civil unions between same-sex couples. When this started I said “this will not end until the ultimate objective is reached”. States had ballot referendums and issues of same-sex marriage were voted on by the people and banned in the states. Since that time Judges have ruled against the will of the people, and stricken down the bans on same-sex marriage.
Now we have a new camel with his nose in the tent, we now have the medicinal marijuana camel and his nose is in the tent. It is not about medicinal marijuana, it is about recreational use and it will not stop there.

Enjoy it while you can consumers and retailers alike

I have enjoyed the falling gas prices of recent as have some retailers I have been doing commerce with, much to the chagrin of Wall Street and the investors. More on Wall Street and the investors later. But for now.

Good news with the falling gas prices I now find myself with more disposable income. This is how this works for me. First I have had no significant pay raises in quite some time, therefore even though I have a job I live on a fixed income. My pay is split into the following. First I cover the basic necessities food, clothing and shelter. Second are the utilities. Third is gas costs to get my butt to work, figured by actual miles driven and fuel mileage. Fourth is to save 10% of what is left. Why 10% you ask, because I know and have known that even though I am required to pay into Social Security I will not get a monthly check, the money will run out. Fifth give to the Church. Sixth what ever is left is disposable, meaning it is spent in the local area in an attempt to keep the employed, employed. If what I want to buy is not available in the local area, then I must shop outside, either way someone has a job. Consequently the less the third costs me the more of number 6 I have, the more number three costs the less of number 6 I have.
More good news. The falling gas prices have allowed me to take the boat out more often. Going fishing more often has meant more trips to the bait store and the gas station. The owner of the bait store has had more business, selling shrimp. The owner of the gas station has been selling more gas. The owner of the shrimp boat has been going out more often and catching shrimp, if no one is fishing he can not sell his shrimp that are to small for restaurants. The fuel for the shrimp boat costs less, the shrimp he sells costs less, the owner of the bait store sells shrimp for less because they cost him less, I go fishing more often and buy more shrimp and gas. All of this is because fuel prices have come down. Yes, economics are this simple.
I understand supply and demand. If the supply is low and demand is high prices go up. If the supply is high and demand is low prices come down. I also understand that supply can be manipulated to effect price. I also understand this if production and transportation costs are low so are prices, and that the opposite is true.

Items 1, 4 and 5 are not negotiable and will be done. Item 2 fluctuates with the season. Item 3 is a must, if my butt does not get to work none of them happen. Item 6 is dependent on all before.
The only one that I have even the slightest control over is second, the utilities, but only to a certain extent. I can control how much electricity I use but I can not control the cost.

Bad news my power company will be raising the rates for electricity this month. My electric bill will be increasing thereby effecting my disposable income. New regulations from the feds.
More bad news, the new republican controlled congress is considering raising the gas tax. This too will affect my disposable income.
Even more bad news, for the owner of the gas station, I will be buying less gas. To the owner of the bait store, I will be stopping by less often for shrimp. To the owner of the shrimp boat, the owner of the bait store will be needing less shrimp. We all will likely be needing less fuel.

The federal government once again has it all backwards. In an attempt to take more from the American people, they will in all probability end up with less. The federal government should be finding a way to lessen the burden on business. Business will get people back to work not the federal government. If more people were working, more people would be going to work and buying gas to get there. Stop taking and use what you have already taken, but use it wisely. Tell America where all of the money in the Highway Trust Fund went. While you are at it tell America where all the money you took from us went. The only money you seem to have enough of is welfare money, never hear that it is used up, must not be many on welfare. Since there must be a surplus of welfare money use it to fill up the other accounts. Surely you have not done the opposite. Have you?

Now to Wall Street and the investors. Frankly, I do not give a rat’s butt about your worries and concerns about the falling gas prices. The only reason that Wall Street has been doing so good is that the feds have been pumping money into your stock market. Directly or Indirectly. With the feds holding the interest rate at or near zero the investments have been flowing to Wall Street. Where else is there to invest with any real possibility of a descent return? Do not worry yourself too much I am quite sure your friends in Congress will bail you out once again. Just for grins and giggles disclose how much money really is in the stock market. You are not driving the Economy. The only thing you are driving is America to the poor house with the aid of Congress, Politicians and the Fed.

A Feudal Empire, the new America

The America of today is definitely not the America the Founding Fathers envisioned, but they knew the America of today was a possibility. They issued warnings and some even stated what would destroy the Republic. Some of them even offered ways to avoid the fall and destruction. The United States of America is degenerating into a Feudal Empire. The elections and campaigning in America have become non-stop as soon as one is over the next begins. This year it never took a break, the politicians were already posturing and positioning for the next one even before some of the elections were settled. The never-ending campaigning and election cycles have taken a life of their own, as a matter of fact, they have taken the form of a Feud.

The feud being waged across America is like nothing seen before in this land, not even the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s can hold a candle to this one.

The Feud being waged across America is not about defending one’s honor, defending the honor of one’s family or even defending the honor of one’s country. It is about control, absolute control. It is not about honor, as most of the participants have no honor to defend. The participants in this feud are the Political Parties, the Politicians themselves and the Special Interest Groups including the Lobbyists and the PACS with the major Media outlets providing aid, comfort and support. Power and control are what is sought, fulfilling the agenda is the goal.

As a matter of fact the ongoing feud is not only being waged across America, it is being waged against America. The weapons and tools used in the Political Feud include money, divisiveness, lies and deceit. When these weapons are used in unison with a population that either will not, or can not see the truth they become weapons capable of destroying the Republic.

Money used as a weapon and a tool. “The Republic is in Danger of Collapsing when the People learn they can Vote themselves Money from the National Treasury”. That was a true statement, but it took Congress and Liberal Progressives to make it true. The biggest danger the Republic faces is Political Parties and Politicians who realize that they can Buy Votes with Monies from the National Treasury. With the arrival of this realization the death of self-reliance and government dependence was born. Wealth redistribution did not arrive with Obamacare, it has lived among us for many years. The National treasury is tax dollars paid in by the working population and was intended to support the country, not some of the inhabitants. If one wishes to Reap the Benefits of Living in a Free Country and Enjoy the Liberties that come with such a life must Bear the Fatigue of Supporting it.
Practice self-reliance, do for yourself what needs to be done. Do not rely on government to provide for you that which is your personal responsibility. If you rely on government to provide for your needs you give government the power to rule your life. If the government has the power to give, the government has the power to take away. With power comes control.

Divisiveness used as a weapon and a tool. As I have written before, a divided populace is easy to control and manipulate. Government, at all levels, is about complete and utter control. America is now and has been divided along many lines. America is divided along lines such race, financial status, age and gender.
Division by race. Black against White against Black. Hispanic against White against Hispanic. Black against Hispanic against Black. In short every race against every other race. Discrimination, Bigotry, Hatred and Racism are all very much alive today. One would or more aptly should ask, How is this possible in a land that has passed laws to prevent such. In fact the laws have been so perversely applied that a new term was created, Affirmative Action, which gave us the reverse. The answer to this is quite often the same as with many other issues facing America, “Government is not the solution Government is the Problem”. In the case of Racism, Government not only supports it but encourages it and even participates in it willingly and voluntarily, though it claims to be against it. Normally this would be referred to as being Two-Faced, but in government this is normal behavior. To prove this let me submit the following, using the U.S. Congress as an example, and a “fine example” they are. Congress sets the example for America to follow by dividing themselves into racial groupings. There is the Congressional Black Caucus and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Does anybody really believe these two “fine examples” of leadership represent anything but their race? I submit to you that they do not. If they have “exclusive sessions”( I wonder what are the requirements are to be a member of a group that claims in its title to be black or Hispanic) why would any believe that they conduct themselves any differently when they all get together. While these two “racial groups” appear to be leading the “fight” to ensure a better life for their particular races they actually do more harm than they can ever do good. In their attempts to secure advancement of their particular race they hinder and obstruct the advancement of all others. If America is to advance based on race and Governmental action, America will only advance as far as Government allows. I submit this to you in a country with the Freedoms and Liberties that all Americans are supposed to enjoy, they must all advance together and unite into one Race, and that race is American. I have often wondered why any person would belong to any group government or otherwise that seeks to promote advancement one race in America and not all races in America, after all we are all Americans and America was at one time referred to as the “Great Melting Pot”. A few final questions on Racism, are you being held back because of your race or are you being held back because of government? If Government Action is the answer, why are you stagnated in the position provided for you by big government? Have you already advanced as far as government will allow?
“The only limits on advancement an American faces are the limits one places on one’s self”. That should be a statement to live by, no limits should be placed on advancement by Government.
If you do not believe that the Government has been successful in dividing the populace into small and easily controllable groups consider the following. Check any form or application the government requires to be filled out and you will find the following, and you must disclose the information; There are several blocks that must be filled in or at least checked and they are, Race or Ethnicity, Age Bracket or Date of Birth, Gender and on some forms the Other block concerning race has been eliminated. The populace happily checks the blocks or fills in the information without ever wondering why this information must be disclosed. The Quota system is still alive and well thanks to Government.

Lies and Deceit used as a weapons and a tools. These are politics and politicians who rely on ignorance of the populace. Perhaps the best example of lies and deceit center around financial status. A politician will give a speech on income inequality to a crowd and get them all stirred up over how poor they are, and blame the rich for them being poor. The politician is being wee-paid for their appearance, sometimes in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and them have the nerve to blame the rich for the poor. The next time you attend one of these events ask the speaker these three questions. How much are you being paid to give this speech? What have you personally done to fight poverty and help the poor? Who was the last person to be hired by another poor person? One of two things will happen after the questions are asked. The politician will lie on all accounts, because that is what politicians do best, or you will find your poor-ass being escorted out of the event.

The ultimate goal is the return of America to the level of a Feudal Empire, as one might say returning to its “Roots”. But it will be a little different from Colonial America. The feuding powers this time will be and are the political parties and one will win the feud and we the populace will be handed off to the next feudal winner. It will be just like the Serfs of old, passed along with the title and the land. If you do not believe this look a the election maps, what color state do you live in, red or blue. The individual no longer matters the state is claimed in the name of the political party.

Colonial America had its founding in Serfdom, the nations of Europe had Imperial Leaders and the nations of Europe were constantly feuding. One would lose and the victor would gain that territory and with it acquire the colony in America. The colony along with its inhabitants would be passed to the feudal winner. Without going through all the history of how the colonies eventually came under British Imperial rule, the following should suffice: By definition a Serf is no more than a slave, subservient if you will, belonging to the land and is transferred with the land to the Feudal winner. The citizenry was expected, no demanded to be obedient and compliant with the Feudal winner, the Master if you will.

There are some major problems with living in a Feudal Empire.
The first problem is that the Feuding never ends, it rages on from day-to-day, never-ending and never-ceasing.
The next problem is that the winners of the Feud begin to see themselves as Imperials, kings or queens even if only for a term. They no longer see themselves as elected to Govern they see themselves as elected to Rule.
The next problem is that when the elected officials, the ones who won the latest Feud, see themselves as and then act as Imperials they see the population as Serfs, subjects and subservient to the ruling class. This is a very big problem, but not an insurmountable one.

It starts again, already

I admit that I was more than happy that the Republicans will control the Senate and still retain control of the House when the next Congress convenes in January. At last count there were still three Senate races that were not settled, AK, LA, and VA.

On the early morning news channels it started with the Talking Heads, Pollsters, Strategists and Political has-been making their rounds on the morning news shows dissecting every contest and vote offering their opinion as to why the Electorate voted as they did, and has been going on all day, and will likely continue for days. The weekend news programs will only offer more of the same. The answer is actually quite simple, the Electorate either voted for or against something or someone.

The hard-core base of each political party went to the polls to vote for their respective political party, regardless of the person. The uninformed and misinformed voters went to the polls and cast their ballot for a candidate or an initiative based on fear-mongering, race-baiting or brow-beating all the while not knowing or understanding the issues, much less who or what they were voting for or against. The informed voters went to the polls to cast their ballots based on an understanding of the issues. As for me, when I go to the polls to cast my ballot for a candidate I vote for the one who more closely matches my values regardless of party affiliation. As to the Florida governors race I believe that Florida is heading in the right direction and voted accordingly, what is best and right for Florida may or may not be what is best for me.

The most dangerous elements of the Election process in America are the hard-core base voters, the uninformed/misinformed voters and the political parties themselves.
The hard-core base voters are dangerous because they may stay home and skip an entire election cycle if the candidate on their party’s ticket does not measure up to the party platform. I guess this is their way of showing them. The politician is forced to pander to them to get them to vote, both parties do it.
The uninformed/misinformed voters are dangerous to the process because they do nothing to educate themselves about the candidates or the issues. In this day and age there is no excuse for anyone to make an uninformed choice. The world is at your fingertips, yet you do not take advantage. There is a world of information available, you may have to sort through it to get the truth. Maybe this is the reason you remain uninformed, just to lazy to sort out the truth. If the uninformed remain uninformed the door opens for them to be misinformed. Politicians, Pundits, Talking Heads and other people who are in reality no more relevant than a gnat will tell you what they want you to believe. If you are told the same thing enough times you will accept it as fact, even if it is a lie. But because you would not find out the truth for yourself you accept lies as truth. Fear-Mongering, Race-Baiting and Brow-Beating are your diet, and you are fed daily, if you appear hungry they come again and again with another dose.
The Political Parties are dangerous because of money. Not just money, but the way the money is used and the “pecking order” on how the money is doled out. The RNC and the DNC do the same things, if the candidate is an incumbent and faces little opposition he or she receives less campaign money than a hotly contested race. Conversely if a candidate does not stand a snow ball in hell’s chance of winning he or she receives little if any campaign money. The candidates who stand little, if any chance of winning must rely on state or county campaign committees for campaign money or donations from friends and supporters.

In an election there is a winner and a loser, just think of all the millions if not billions of dollars that were wasted on the loser of every election. New records in the amount of money spent were set on this Senate election, and makes no sense. Who was the benefactor in this free-for-all in spending? How many millions did the Newspaper and Magazine publishing companies and owners receive for advertisements? How many millions did the Radio and Television conglomerates receive for political advertisements? How many tons of electioneering material ended up in the Mail Boxes of America? Who paid the postage on the mailed material? How many e-mails and news letters were sent?

As mentioned in previous posts spending millions to get a job that pays thousands is insanity. The only way to clean up American politics is to remove the money. Furthermore the PACs and Super PACs should be done away with, they only serve one purpose with one goal, and that is the interests of the group or person who founded it and their agenda. The only people who receive money from the PACs are the ones who fit their idea for a perfect candidate.

The original intent of the Senate was to represent the State and the States interests, they were selected by the State Legislature. Now we have a popular election to send 2 Senators to represent the Political Party, the states no longer have any representation in Washington, D.C. Repealing the 17th Amendment alone would save millions upon millions of dollars.

Campaign Finance Reform is and has been a joke, but what was one to expect politicians wrote it. Here is an idea for real reform of campaign finance, all you can spend in seeking Constitutional Office is the amount equal to one years pay. This will hold down the negative attack advertisements, you will need your limited resources to sell yourself to the voters. If you must attack your opponent, attack his or her voting record, not how many times he or she voted with the president. Donors should be limited to the amount equal to 1 hours wages, after taxes of course. U.S. Government equipment is for Official Business Only, not for personal use or use while campaigning.

Politicians are members of political parties and they vote with the party, it is not a crime to vote along party lines. If you want to eliminate political party voting eliminate the political party. A politician can not go against the party to many times before the politician is sent to the wilderness. If you do not believe that the politician represents the political party look behind their name for a letter D, R or I. The president also represents the political party first, and since he is the president he is the head of his party, not too many in the party oppose and not many times.

The President is supposed to represent America, the Senate is supposed to represent the State, the House of Representatives are supposed to represent the constituents in his or her district, politicians represent the political party. All are supposed to uphold the Constitution of the U.S., not the party platform. What do we have in Washington, D.C.?

As mentioned in the beginning the republicans will control the Senate next Congressional Session. I mention this for two important reasons, 1 vacancies in the Courts and the Cabinet, there are already enough activists filling some of the positions, the vacancies can only be filled with advice and consent of the Senate, that is unless of course BHO fills them during recess. 2 Maybe, at least now something will get done by the Senate, and BHO will be presented bills for signature or veto, his buffer to responsibility will be gone.

What I meant by the title. There was no electioneering crap cluttering up my mailbox today but I did receive e-mails and news letters seeking donations and contributions in preparation for 2016. Give me a freaking break this election is not settled yet and still you ask for money, hard-earned I might add. This on top of the fact that the new Congress has not even been sworn in as yet, add this to the fact they have not done anything yet, talking and speeches do not get it done. Show me some action and meaningful legislation that is good for America. If you want donations and contributions from me do something that increases the bottom line of Americans. You wont like the donation I send to you, if I choose to, using my idea concerning donations from individuals, one hours wages after taxes is not much, but I make do. No, on second thought I will make no donations or contributions because you did not see the congressional race in my district as important, well it was important at least to me.

The future of America and what is in store in the name of Politics, Religion, Terrorism, Wars, a state of Perpetual War, Denials, Division, Lies, Distractions, Political Correctness, Agendas and Firsts.

Terrorism has once again been visited on America. The latest terrorist attack committed against an American on American soil, the beheading of a woman in Oklahoma, by a Moslem has been labeled an act of work place violence by the MSM, BHO and the Justice Dept. The Ft. Hood shooting by a Muslim serving in the U.S. Army was too declared an act of work place violence. If BHO had been president on 9/11/2001, the terrorist attacks of 9/11 would most likely have been labeled as work place violence after all the victims were at work when the attacks took place. One has to wonder why BHO and his administration will not call things for what they are. One would also have to wonder how BHO and his administration would have labeled the above two terrorist acts if the roles were reversed. How would it be labeled if a Christian stood up in a crowded area full of Muslims, shouted Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition and opened fire on victims unable to defend themselves because of a policy of not allowing personal fire arms, or if a recently converted Christian walked into the business they were just fired from and beheaded the nearest Muslim and savagely attacked another? Would these acts be called workplace violence? I think not. They would be called hate crimes and the usual cast of clowns would soon be on the scene demanding an investigation to find out if the victims civil rights were violated. Hate crimes and civil rights violations carry a stiffer penalty, enhanced if you will, than workplace violence, which is just plain old murder. Political correctness and the fear of offending has corrupted the justice system.

The things that made and make America great is the People and the form of government, not the government. Government is a necessary evil and nothing more. The Constitution begins with We the People, not we the government. America became great because it was founded as a Constitutional Republic, meaning that the Supreme Power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law. The elected representatives are responsible to the people, but it is the Peoples responsibility to hold government responsible and accountable. The state of deterioration of government rests at the feet of the voters that either do not or will not hold government and those elected to govern responsible or accountable. If government has become too big, it is because the voters elected those whose agenda was to grow government. If government is too intrusive it is because the voters elected those whose agenda was to give more power to government and take away the power of the people. Government exists because of the people, the People do not exist for government.

Capitalism. This is the American system, and is basically defined as, an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production and the distribution of goods that are determined mainly by competition in a free market. This is business by the people and for the people. Is this system perfect? Not by any stretch of the imagination. It is full of greed and corruption. Under capitalism we as consumers have the power to punish or reward business in the market place. We as consumers have the power and right to purchase what we want from whom we want. No one can force us to purchase or not to purchase. No one can force us to purchase from one and not another. We can even cause changes in price, but so can business, supply and demand. The value, price or cost of any thing money or precious metal is set in the free market by the people. This is called worth, an item is worth exactly what the consumer is willing to spend in order to attain the goods or services, nothing more nothing less.

Your other choice for a system to live under are:
Communism. Elimination of private property. A totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production. under this system the consumer has fewer choices and at time only one choice. The value, cost, price and worth of an item is set by government because they have ownership and total control of all means of production. The government owns everything but it is available for all if, and only if, the government says so. The individual owns nothing and can control nothing. The consumer has no choice in anything not what to buy or how much to pay. Every aspect of life is lived for the whole and the government.
Socialism. Again there is no private property. Collective or government ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods. The means of production are owned and controlled by the state. This system of society has unequal distribution of goods and pay is according to the amount of work done, basically a quota system. the individual is again left with few if any choices in the marketplace and pay received is directly commensurate with the job and how much work assigned was completed.
Fascism. You guessed it. Severe economic and social regimentation, government control. With the added niceties of suppression of any and all political opposition. Places nation and often race above the individual. Autocratic government with a dictatorial leader.

If you Legally live here in America or are an American citizen and you do not like Capitalism, choose from the above available systems of society, get a change of address kit and apply for citizenship in a country that practices whichever one that represents what you prefer and move there. You used the system of capitalism to achieve your dreams and yet complain about the system and do your best to deny others the same as you enjoy, pack your bags or STFU.

Religion in Politics, and Politics in Religion
The founding documents make several references to God or the Creator of the Universe and some even end in what could be called a Prayer, but in no way was religion a basis for the establishment of our government. The First Amendment even states that Congress can make no law establishing religion, or prohibiting free exercise of religion. Not only are Americans free to practice religion they are also free from religion and are not required to practice any religion. America would be a much lesser developed country, like much of the Middle-East if the government was based on religion. How much progress would America have made if each and every endeavor was required to pass a religious test or if each person had to pass a religious test before setting out on a mission to improve life in America or around the world for that matter. This is the confusing part about religion as government, some if not most of what is being done in the name of religion is against the principles and teachings of religion, unless the vile acts are committed in the name of religion and sanctioned by a religious leader. Some of the vile acts being committed in the name of religion are acceptable in that religion and serves the purposes of that religion. One thing for certain is that the fingerprints of GOD are all over the foundation of America, and perhaps even better GOD never made submission to Him as a prerequisite for founding America. America truly is Blessed, and definitely not cursed.

The division of American society by government, politics and politicians.
The American society has been divided into small easily controlled or manipulated groups. Black against White, White against Black, Hispanic against White against Black, Ethnicity against Ethnicity and it just keeps going. None of the division makes any sense, government just keeps opening old wounds and spreading discontent.
The poor are against the rich. The liberal politicians in general and BHO in particular are constantly saying that the rich need to “pay their fair share”, yet none say what a fair share is. So-called Liberal politicians receive donations from liberal millionaires and billionaires they same way so-called Conservative politicians receive donations from conservative millionaires and billionaires. The wealthy liberal and conservative donors make political donations for one reason and one reason only, they want their agenda fulfilled. The politicians, liberal and conservative accept these donations, but the liberals must be doing it begrudgingly due to the fact that they constantly attack the wealthy by claiming they do not pay their fair share. Here is the brutal truth, government and politicians placed you into a controllable and easily manipulated group for a reason. Here is another ugly truth, the poor are poor and remain poor because of government, not the rich. While it is true there are some people in America that are born into money, they are born into money because their ancestors used or in some cases abused Capitalism to acquire wealth, as pointed out the system is not perfect. But, there are many more wealthy Americans because of a choice they made, they chose to better themselves and their “station” in life with Capitalism. Government holds people back not the wealthy, the wealthy provide the avenue for others by providing jobs, no poor man has ever hired anyone. Government does not create jobs or save jobs for anyone except government. Government does however control the business environment with rules and regulations, some of which are needed and good, while others are harmful stopping or stagnating growth in the Private sector. Government is not capable of creating but is very capable of destroying.
Race against Race. Racism is not dead in America. One would have to wonder how a country that could even conquer previously thought insurmountable goals as space travel, deep-sea exploration, great medical advances and the like could not even conquer racism. The answer is simple government, the MSM, politicians and activists keep racism alive and well, they need it, they feed on it. Even more despicable they rely on and expect the population to feed in it and to buy into the dribble they pedal. Racism implies the supremacy of one race while seeing another as inferior. The best example of this is intentionally placing or forcing a person or an entire Peoples to live, Ghetto. The original Ghetto was an island where the Jews were forced to live. The second Ghetto was a quarter in city where the Jews were forced to live under Nazi occupation of Europe in the 1930’s and 40’s. The third Ghetto was what the areas in the larger cities where the Blacks lived were referred to as being. Somewhere along the line during the 1960’s or early 70’s the word Ghetto was replaced with the word Projects, so it went from I live in the Ghetto to I live in the Projects, no matter what or how they were labeled they are one and the same. By definition a Ghetto is a quarter in a city in which members of a minority live especially because of social, legal or economic pressures. One has to wonder how far race relations in America would have truly progressed if government would have kept their noses out of the people’s business. Any person who is forced to do something will only harbor resentment, hostility and anger. Government intrusion into the daily life of America did not begin with forced desegregation and forced busing but these two intrusions caused more harm than good. The labeling of Americans by race is what lead to the quota system and the very beginnings of affirmative action. Does a person deserve special considerations because they belong to one ethnic group or another or are one color and not another? absolutely not. The gains of a person should be based on his or her own merit. It is supposed to be Content and not Color.
Ethnic group against Ethnic group. This is and has also been caused by government intrusions and serves no purpose than to divide Americans into groups that are readily identifiable. Government even encourages citizens not to assimilate in to American society. This is where hyphenated Americans come from, the government and the MSM seems to think and promote the idea of dual citizenship. If you are a Legal citizen of America that makes you an American, period and without hyphenation.

Wars. There are two kinds of wars 1. Wars between nations and 2. Wars against things.
Wars between nations should not be entered into lightly and never if there is not an intention to win, ties are unacceptable. There must be a winner and a loser, final and complete, if not the war will be fought again.
Wars against things, again there must be a plan to win and a complete strategy to a complete victory. The problem with a war against things is that things change.

Perpetual Wars. Perpetual wars are waged against things or ideals. Perpetual wars go on and on with no end in sight as the name implies. The reason for that is that there was never a strategy to win. The two longest wars in American history are the wars against poverty and drugs.
The war on poverty was brought about by LBJ and his idea of a “Great Society”. The only casualties of this war were the poor, the poor are still poor. This idea of a great society is what created social welfare. The federal government began the habit and practice of rewarding bad behavior, poor decision-making and in some cases laziness. Self sufficiency was replaced by government reliance. The federal government would always be there in times of need no mater how often or how long. The Ghettos became the Projects became Public housing, often referred to as Section 8 housing aka the “Hood”. Public housing was so successful that it was expanded to all races, and it still provides the government one thing forced housing in the name of social, economic and political reasons. No matter the state where public housing exists it is always in a city, never in rural America. So you see it really is a Ghetto in the truest meaning of the word, the cities are still divided into quarters, not to mean a true quarter which would be 25% of the whole, if you do not believe this to be true try finding public housing in any upscale neighborhood or anywhere near a politicians home. The poor live in the poor quarter while the rich live in the rich quarter. The Liberal politicians are the worst, they claim to be for middle America, but middle America is not welcome in their neighborhoods. Then there are the myriad of government programs to “help” in times of need, food stamps(EBT), WIC, reduced electricity and water, free phones and the list goes on and on. These programs were meant for one thing and one thing only, to teach government dependence and reliance. This one sure way to tell that the “War on Poverty” has been lost, some schools are now open during the summer to provide meals for hungry children, and some even send backpacks home with the children with food to last the week-end or holiday. The war was lost even before it began and yet countless millions are thrown at it each and every year. The war on poverty was lost before it began for one reason, poverty was addressed not the cause of poverty. Poverty and its continued existence serve the politicians well, the continual throwing of money at a problem amplified by politicians is a guarantee of continued votes.
The two things in America that were never meant to be a career or livelihood are politics and welfare. Power and Money, politicians can never have enough of either, while throwing money at poverty and the impoverished and deny them the power to rise out of poverty.
If you live in public housing and are on government (taxpayer) assistance ask yourself this. Do you live where you want or are you living where the government wants you to live? Are you living the life you deserve or the one that the government has provided for you? If you had the opportunity could you provide better for yourself and your family? Could you be self-reliant?
The only way to end poverty is to end the war on poverty and re-establish self-reliance.
The war on drugs was and is another failure of government. Was the plan was to rid society of drug offenders or drugs?

Legal Immigration, Illegal Immigration, Immigration Reform and Amnesty.
The numbers of Legal immigrants applying for citizenship in a country speaks highly of the country, its form of government, way of life and the society. There does not appear to be vast numbers of people applying to immigrate to Mexico, Cuba, or North Korea, but there are many wanting to come to America.
Illegal Immigration. If you are here in America Illegally, you came here for a reason social, political or economic if you wish to become an American or live here legally go back to your home country and do it the right way. Get in line behind the others that are doing it the legal and right way. If your home country has a system other than Capitalism and that is why you came here illegally, then you are a coward and are only interested in self-preservation. You left your countrymen to face the same things you ran from. The Founding Fathers of America faced their challenges, they did not run away from the country they loved, America was their home. Rather than run away the men and women of colonial America fought for and many died to rid this country of the same thing you run from. The early Americans made a choice, a hard choice they waged a war to throw a tyrannical and oppressive ruler and government from this soil. The Founding Fathers took stand, caused change and made a difference. Like the song says “America the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. Go back to your home country and consider your options, you have three,1. Continue to live under a system that you obviously despise. 2. Legal immigration to America. 3. Cause change in your home country socially, economically or politically. If you choose option 2 assimilate into American life.
Immigration Reform. If the politicians want to reform Immigration Law do this first, 1. Close and secure the borders allow no more in. 2. Resident Aliens, give them first consideration after all they have done the right things, paid the fees and work and pay taxes. 3. The people currently applying for admission allow them to finish the process they are doing the right thing. 4. Revisit the laws on the books and adjust if necessary based on need of the country and for the good of the country not for politics, political gain or political correctness or your personal agenda or your ego.
Those that are here illegally should be asking themselves a question. How can you trust the president of a nation who knowingly allowed you in illegally and in some case invited you in illegally? You broke the law and he encouraged it and welcomed it. Now you are being used as a tool with threats of amnesty if congress does not act on immigration reform on his schedule.
Amnesty. Not again once was enough.

Lies and Distractions. The telling of a falsehood knowing the opposite or something else is true. The one truth about a lie is that when uncovered for what it is you must cover it again or cause a distraction to draw attention from the original lie. The more you lie the more cover and distraction are needed to draw away attention. The latest distraction provided for the entertainment of America was provided by the fence jumper that made it into the White House. The question how was he not stopped can be answered by this, he was no threat and they knew it. There had been previous interaction with this man by secret service agents. Then the release of a story about the president riding in an elevator with an armed guard who just happened to be an ex-criminal. Oh please, but at least all the talk about the other scandals has ended for now.

Firsts. America has now had its first beheading of a non-Muslim by a Muslim. We also have our first case of Ebola, this particular mess just keeps unfolding and revealing more and more possibilities.

The elections are less than 1 month away. What are the incubation and quarantine times for Ebola? We were told this would never reach or borders. Is this just another lie or is it a distraction? Is this the transformation of America that was the real agenda? Was Ebola purposely allowed into America to prove that we are not exceptional? Is this political correctness run amuck? Was this to prove that we are one world and what effects one effects all?

Words and numbers got us to where we are today, if applied corectly words and numbers get us out of this mess

Two words have gotten us to where we are today, Electability and Likeability, these two words should be stricken from the American language. Numbers have also played a major role is getting us to where we are the numbers I refer to are Poll Numbers and are constantly touted by the media. The only polls that matter are the elections and the results. Government is a necessary evil and no politician should ever be elected based on popularity, it is not a popularity contest it is only a necessary evil.

Words that should matter and get this country righted are illustrated in the following:

Core Values. Core values begin to form from birth and continue through adulthood and become what you hold near and dear. They do not continue to develop till death, long before you die your core values are set, set in stone. They are what you believe to be true, right and just and never waver. There are not many, if any, politicians who have the same core values that I have. I make my selection based on their core values and how near they match mine and vote accordingly not by political party affiliation.

Accountability and Responsibility. Accepting responsibility for your actions as well as those you have entrusted by delegating them some of the tasks or functions they may be better suited for than you. Delegate responsibility but accept the blame. It is not accept the responsibility(unless there happens to be someone standing nearby that you can pin that on) but delegate the blame as is illustrated by the current administration. BHO seems to accept neither the responsibility or the blame, that is about detached as one can get and still get paid.

Disclosure. And by this I mean full disclosure, upon deciding to enter public service there is no room for secrets of any kind. Upon announcement of your potential candidacy for public office you must be ready disclose and reveal your life, college and university records including subjects studied, test scores and any affiliation with any group or fraternity, voting records if any public office was held prior to your seeking of a new office, tax records, real estate records, birth certificate, passport, arrest record, military service record if you served and any other document the public has an interest in examining or scrutinizing. The people will determine if you are qualified to hold public office and vote accordingly. We as American citizens have a duty, right and obligation to know who and what you are and about before entrusting you with any public service or political office. Upon taking office the disclosure must continue, visitor logs are a must if you want two fine, one for official visitors and the other for unofficial visitors, if you combine the two that is also fine. Not a shadow should cross the threshold without being in the log. They must be ready to present on request at any time, no one should have to sue for information that is not a matter of national security. Protest the request under national security if you must, but explain why a visitor is a matter of national security. Upon leaving office you must disclose your personal wealth and the manner it was acquired. Your visitors log or logs must be surrendered for audit. Your voting record must be revealed for scrutiny. Your personal wealth will be matched to your visitor log or logs and voting record. If you voted for or introduced any legislation that became law that increased your personal wealth or protected you in any shape, manner or fashion without being of the same benefit of the public at the same time the money any interest it would have accumulated would be forfeited and placed in the national treasury as well as facing possible criminal charges. Lobbyists must petition Congress as a whole not on a one on one basis. As to the matter of bills that are introduced make them simple and addressing only one issue at a time, stop hiding pet projects or other issues in the legislation and post the bill as written for the public to read if they so choose, many of us have an interest in politics and the future of America but have no interest in becoming a politician. There should never have been a time when these words were uttered “you have to pass it to find out what is in it”, but there was and those words should never be heard again.

There are many more words that could be applied, Moral Courage, Moral Character, Honesty, Loyalty, Allegiance, Faithful, Integrity, Trust are just some examples of the many traits that so many of the politicians of today lack, but that is the fault of us the American voter who keep electing and then re-electing them.

If you wonder why so few on the right and almost none on the left stand up to and against BHO, the answer is simple they have waited their entire political careers for him or someone like him to arrive, some waited so long that they died of old age in office. You may have noticed some on the right have just starting to stand up to challenge BHO and are doing so only because of public opinion and for no other reason. The proof is this if they truly objected they would have raised objection and took action when it started. What took so long BHO did not just start doing what BHO does? Face it, they were swayed by public opinion and public opinion alone.

If a politician has constant rising or falling poll numbers he or she does not hold true and faithful, they are merely changing with the wind and trying to be all things to all people at different times. If a politician is capable of lying to themselves what makes you think they will ever be truthful to the people. Poll numbers are a matter of opinion formed before the facts come in, opinions change with the facts, facts do not change because of opinion. Todays politicians are more concerned with what is popular than what is right and just or factual. Power is what they crave and will change to whatever is needed at the time to keep it and will even change right back if their old position becomes popular again.

Numbers that I really like:

One. The number of vacations taken during the year. The average American working a full-time job usually earns 2 weeks paid vacation a year, some more, some less. Very few Americans are given a vacation at company expense, that would be like being paid 54 weeks for 52 weeks work, most pay for their own vacation. That is the idea behind a paid vacation receiving 52 weeks pay for 50 weeks work, the extra two weeks pay is intended to help pay for your vacation. Some politicians seem to be on a permanent vacation stopping by the office occasionally. There is no such thing as a working vacation, working is not a vacation. Company cars, the average employee that has that perk is given just one not a fleet of them and it is for company business only not pleasure, vacations, fund-raising or just to get away from it all, if it is used for pleasure or personal business the employee is responsible for expenses. This is a good plan for the following reason, the politicians are sent to congress and yes even the presidency to do the will of the people, what is best for the country or state as a whole, representing the people and should not be treated or demand more than the average citizen. The politicians claim to be looking out for the middle class try living like them.

Ten. The first 10 amendments to the Constitution, known as The Bill of Rights are strictly off-limits to any form of limitation or restrictions by the Federal Government and no person should be harassed or intimidated in any way while lawfully exercising their rights.

Sixteen. Repeal the 16th amendment to the Constitution and effectively abolish the IRS. A flat rate tax is an option, come up with a percentage each person pays into the Treasury, no deductions no exemptions, but this is a tax placed on legal and lawful income. A better option would be to implement a consumption based tax, this taxation would cause all people to pay into the treasury no matter how they came by their money legal or otherwise.

Seventeen. Repeal the 17th amendment to the Constitution. Return the appointments to the Senate to the States and remove them from the political parties. The States would be able to recall and replace any Senator who failed to represent the State and its interests.

Twenty Eight. Introduce and ratify the 28th amendment to the Constitution allowing for the recall and of Representatives that have wavered from the intent of the citizens who sent them to Congress. This alone would return the House of Representatives to its original intent and purpose, which was to represent the interest of the people and mot the political party or their own special interests.

Fifty. The number of States to recall and replace any Senator if he or she places political party affiliation or their own personal ego and interests above the States interests.

One Hundred. The percentage of people who each law that is passed applies to, no exemptions or exceptions.

Politicians and Government Agency Employee Pay. This will be determined by the citizens in your Hometown, District or State. The formula is simple; Take the highest and lowest hourly wage earned, then add the two together and divide that number by two that will determine your hourly wage multiply that number by 40 and that will determine your weekly pay. Any overtime must be approved, if you can not get your job done in 40 hours see numbers 17, 28 and 50. I like this part best, since you are a public servant and are supposed to be looking out for the people for every person who loses their job because of laws and regulations you passed or enacted will be fined one cent per hour to be paid into the treasury to help fund the programs that you voted for. The way you have managed the government and the country will soon have your sorry butts paying just to have your office. Raising the minimum wage will not help you, while one person may make more money per hour, others may lose their jobs, the best you can hope for is a net gain of zero. The only way you can hope to lessen the fines you will pay and quite possibly increase your hourly pay is to create and environment that spurs more people to work and possibly increase their hourly pay. We win you win, we lose you lose. This is perhaps the best part if you sponsor, introduce or regulate any measure that causes a person to lose their job you must pay their unemployment checks directly out of your personal wealth, the unemployed become a personal leech on you and not on America. Not only must you pay the unemployment checks you must pay for all the social programs they will qualify for and receive, food stamps and the rest. Why should American citizens pay for your choices and blunders. By the way, abandon your retirement system and join the one that you forced us into. Good luck in your golden years, you will need it. If you can not or will not join the one we are forced into then at least give the common folks an opportunity to join yours or do you consider yourselves better than the common folks. By the way, can we join your healthcare plan the one you designed and forced on America really sucks?

Let’s just say the Founding Fathers got the Constitution right and quit trying to interpret what they meant. They meant exactly what they wrote. Read the preamble they did not try to create the perfect government, only a more perfect one. We can only imagine the kind of tyranny, abuse and hardships that were endured in Colonial America, and may God prevent us living here today having to endure such a life as the Colonials. But, I say this, if the American voters do not change their voting patterns and habits there may come a time when a man or woman is elected as president that will view themselves as above the law and can change the laws on a whim and view themselves as a king or queen.

The tipping point and economics

Recently there was a post about a congressman who wanted to raise gas taxes, then abolish them and implement a miles driven tax, to this man I say lift your head out of the trough and look around then think about what you are saying. If you are unable to think let me do that for you, but the odds of you seeing this are slim at best, that is unless you have friends in the NSA.

This and no nation on earth can tax itself out of debt, the same as no family can spend itself out of poverty. What we have here is another government agency, this time the DOT that has run out of money and the account will be empty by the end of summer. I can not understand why the welfare programs never run out of money. The roads, highways, byways and bridges are used by every American at sometime or another even if just to get to a store to support the local economy. More importantly the avenues of travel provide the working Americans a way to get to work, so they can pay the taxes that support your welfare programs. I might as well clear this up for you now, Welfare is supposed to be a helping hand during times of hardship, it was never meant to be a lifestyle or a career. I may as well clear this up for you while I am at it, social welfare programs are not an entitlement, with the exception of true disability social security is an old age and survivor benefit program or at least that was the intention.

I never received a formal education beyond High School so I never studied economics, but I learned economics the hard way having more month than money. If you have more month than money you need to make some changes and prioritize your spending covering the needs, saving a little to cover emergencies and to hell with the wants if there is not enough to cover them. This is called having a budget, try making one and sticking to it. But you will not do that, since you landed your ass in congress you have done as all the rest have done, you stuck your face in the trough and began feeding on the sweat and labors of others and spend money like there is no end to it. The voters elected you to do the people’s business, if the business of the people was to mooch off the labors of others and spend money wildly you must be a splendid congressman.

Maybe this slipped past you there are still many Americans who are willing to work but your social programs have done nothing to spur job growth. If these people had jobs they would be going to work buying fuel for their vehicles and paying into the DOT coffers. So if you and your ilk truly want things to improve focus on the economy and loosen the stranglehold and let the capitalist system take off. More jobs equals more cars on the road which replenish the DOT. More taxes will equal fewer cars on the road which will equal less money for DOT.

Now back to your idea of a mileage tax. The goods people buy in the stores of America must first get to the stores, most come by truck from distribution centers. The distribution centers may or may not be near a rail hub either way they will a some point be moved by truck. The mileage tax paid by the trucking company will be passed on to the consumer in higher prices, then the consumer will be assessed a mileage tax just to get to the store to purchase the goods. Just think of the cash you will have coming in, or maybe not. The producers will only drive as much as necessary and your cash cow will start thinning down. To prove that you did not think any of this through before opening your mouth, what about people who fill gas cans to run generators during power outages, generators go zero miles so they will be gas tax-free, as a matter of fact a person could walk to the gas station to fill a gas can how would that be taxed again it used the roads zero miles to get to the gas station. Maybe you and your ilk should focus on getting more vehicles on the road by spurring the economy and job growth.

And finally think on this, I work now because I want to not because I have to and there are many like me. I have multiple vehicles because I want to and they all burn fossil fuels and each one uses the roads and must be refueled and you get highway taxes from me. As I pointed out I work because I want to, but how many people have a job because I support the local economy. They must get to work somehow most get there by private transportation and they to pay gas taxes. If the mileage tax is ever implemented my vehicles will be refueled before implementation, remain idle, placed on blocks so as not to flat spot the tires and started occasionally to keep things lubed. While they remain idle there will be no need to renew the tags so the county coffers will lose money. There will be no need for insurance as they will not be driven the insurance company will lose money. There will be not need to repair or perform routine maintenance so I will need no parts or pieces especially those expensive tires, and the automotive repair industry will lose money. And lastly since I will not be driving everyday doing my part to spur the local economy so the person who has a job because I have one will no longer be needed and then his vehicle will sit idle and the process repeats itself and there may just be a person who has a job because that person had one and again it all repeats. The economy will only sink farther into the toilet. The trough you feed from may have less in it because you took the wrong approach to keep it full. So genius you need to think on just how much one part of economics relies on another.. When I must go to resupply on the things I can not get from the land I will simply ride a “grass burner”.

The taxation on mileage will not lower the price of gas the price will remain the same as the fuel delivery companies will pass their operating costs on to the consumers. Paying the same amount for gas just to get to a job to pay taxes on my income and then paying a separate tax just to get there is not going to happen. I will simply leave my job and live off of what I have, making adjustments as necessary, you know the budget thing. I am taxed enough already. This is called checking out and off the financial grid, I know some that have already done this and will wait for better times and a more sensible government before checking back in.

So genius I close with this raising taxes or implementing new taxes is not the answer, getting America back to work will solve most of the problems. Another thing that would help to lessen the burden on the producers of America would be if you and your ilk could do a little some thing about securing the southern border, we already had enough people out of work and hungry. Oh before I forget quit saying its a humanitarian effort for the kids, you are from the side that is okay with abortion and don’t give a damn about kids.
